'I like…'

First Furuba fanfic! Woo! XD This is just a short little one-shot in which Hana thinks about who she likes.

This was the day she was dreading. This was the day she knew would come.

"Hana-Chan, who do you like?" Honda Tohru asked her raven-haired friend.

Tohru, Saki, Momiji, Kyo, and Arisa were sitting outside eating lunch. Momiji had jokingly asked Tohru who she liked, to which she simply blushed and looked down. She then asked Arisa who she liked, who in turn reminded her of the man she met at the convenience store. Then Tohru turned to Saki and asked the question.

"That's easy, Tohru-Kun. I like you." She said with a slight smile. Of course, this wasn't entirely true. While she did like her immensely and she was the closest person to her, she could not truly say that she was the one she liked anymore. Not since he came.

"Eh?" The onigiri said. "Hana, you can tell me."

"Oh no, Tohru-Kun, I was being very serious." She said. At this, the school bell rang.

"We're going to be late!" Tohru exclaimed. The group began to gather their things and leave fro the white building.

"You go on; I'll be there in a minute." Saki said.

"Are you sure? I don't mind waiting." Tohru said, smiling. Saki gave her a reassuring smile and the two second year girls went off. Momiji followed after, bouncing along, talking about red penguins. Only Saki and Kyo were left in the courtyard.

Kyo was looking up at the sky.

"Hey," He said, getting Saki's attention. "You don't have to be scared…y'know. You can tell her who you like."

"Oh, no. I could never do that. It seems that the one I like could very well be the one that Tohru is most attracted to." She said solemnly.

"You like that damn rat?" He asked swirling his head around to face her.

"The Prince? Do you really think that he is the one that she loves most?" She asked inquisitively.

"Well yeah, I mean, she's always with him and…" he looked away "And, you know, he's a better person than I am anyways."

Saki smiled.

"I'm sure he thinks the same thing about you." She said. She finished gathering her things. "You are a very good person, Sohma Kyo-Kun." And with that she set off.

It still wasn't clear to her; exactly who did she like? There were many people that she has considered, but most of them thought she was too creepy or too quiet. Oh well, she thought to herself, smiling. She remembered her little brother's words, saying that there must be someone for her. Wasn't she fortunate enough to have met Tohru and Arisa? Only time would tell.

In time, she would realize how Tohru really felt about the two Sohmas.

In time, she would find out why they never were close to anyone.

And In time, she would meet another Sohma, Kagura, and find out that she had her work cut out for her.
