Pairing: Jack/Sam – what else?

A/N: I got a trampoline last week and I wanted to write some J/S Fuzz involving a trampoline. Thanks to my buddy Taja for beta-ing this.

Sam went around the house, finally having some peace and quiet, picking up various items and putting them away. Its amazing how messy a house can get in the course of a day. When she had finished straightening up the house for her to be satisfied for the night, she went in search of her husband. He wasn't in their bedroom or in the shower. He wasn't watching his Simpsons DVDs. In fact, he wasn't inside at all. He was in the back yard looking at the stars on the cloudless night.

Their backyard was perfect for stargazing. It didn't have many trees obstructing the view and the bright outdoor lights were few and far between, greatly reducing light pollution.

Sam quietly opened the sliding glass door and went into the backyard. She briefly looked around their small deck. Among the table and chairs were dog toys. She didn't think of herself as a dog person but when she went with Jack to the pet store and met the sweetest chocolate lab, it was love at first sight. Zoë, or Commander Zoë of the Star Fleet Dog as some call her, is the biggest lap dog ever known. She thinks she's small enough to fit in anyone's lap.

Expertly crossing the seemingly large expanse of the dark backyard Sam found her husband lying on the fourteen foot trampoline enclosed by a safety net. She crawled through the opening and lied down next to Jack.

"Livvy asleep?" he asked, pulling her closer to him. Olivia Sha're O'Neill is a fireball of energy at 1 ½ years old.

She rested her head on his shoulder and snuggled against him. "Yes, finally. Poor Zoë's asleep too, with Vega."

Vega Destiny O'Neill is the older of the two O'Neill children. The four year old looked almost exactly like her father but had blonde hair like Sam.

She was born almost a year after her parents got married and about 4 months after her father retired from Head of Home World Security. Her mother decided to take a civilian position at the SGC as scientific consultant – meaning she still gets to play with her fun doohickeys.

Vega, named after Sam's favorite star is also symbolic of the eight years her parents worked together; they visited other planets that are just specks in the sky from Earth. Her middle name Sam decided upon right away. In the other two realities involving the quantum mirror, she and Jack were together – if that's not destiny then what is?

Olivia, unlike Vega, looks like her mom yet has long brown curly hair. She is named after her late grandmother, Sam's mother and her 'Uncle Daniel's' wife.

"Who do you think uses this thing more? Us or Vega?" Jack asked out of no where.

Sam thought for a second, "Cassie," she smiled.

The, incredibly smart, now 23 year old followed in her mom's footsteps and she's the new CMO in the SGC. Each free day she gets, she plays with her 'cousins' and uses their trampoline for exercise.

Sam looked up at the sky "Jack, a shooting star! Make a wish!"

"I don't need to," Sam looked at him, confused. He kissed her briefly, yet lovingly before continuing, "I have you and our two daughters, another baby coming. I don't need anything else."

Sam smiled "I love you."

"I know," he replied, "I love you, too."

After a few minutes of watching the stars from the comfort for the trampoline, Jack broke the silence, "So when are we going to tell the girls why, exactly, mommy can't jump with them on the trampoline for a while?" He put his hand on her still flat tummy.

"Once mommy is at least 12 weeks along," she replied feigning exasperation then pulled her husband into a passionate kiss, both with a hand resting above their unborn child.

The End 
