He caught her arm and held it tightly.

"Why Bella?"

She laughed in his face. Clear and bubbly like champagne. "After all this time, cousin, and you still don't know? Perhaps you don't deserve to know."

His anger overtook him as he slammed her against the brick wall. His face was inches from hers and she could smell the Firewhiskey on his breath. "He loved you."

She wriggled from his grip, throwing the hand that held her, to the ground. Her eyes flashed angrily. "Don't. Besides, I have a new love now."

Sirius laughed. "Right, Rodolphus. And how much is his blood worth?" he asked, his voice dripping with disdain.

"Its not about the money."

"Oh, of course not. Its just about the blood. 'Toujours Pur', right Bella? And after all this time, you still can't see past it. Perhaps you never deserved him anyway."

She ran a hand through her hair. "Stop it, Sirius. You don't know what its like. You'll never know."

He let her go, watched her walk away, her heels clicking importantly on the cement. He pulled his collar up as it started to rain.
