The war had begun over two thousand years ago.

Two vampire clans fought against each other one, the Valcors and the Romulens. No one could remember what had started it only that it had been started. At first only the vampires were against each other, but then a clan of werewolves called the Sedricks were pulled into the fighting. Few knew how, but many didn't care. The three Clans fought as they had always fought, without mercy or compassion. After several centuries the Valcors extended the hand of friendship to the Sedricks, and an alliance was formed. For a thousand years the Sedricks and Valcors hunted down the Romulens, almost to the brink of extinction. With their forces scattered and their spirit broken many Romulens hid away in the darkness, others changed alliances, and all believed that it was only a matter of time before the Great Clan fell.

But then from the ashes of their fallen house came a new leader, Marcus. A powerful and wise vampire who united the Romulens, and kept them alive. He filled their ranks, trained their children, and pulled them back from the precipice of extermination. The war still raged on, both sides now again strong and both wanting nothing, but to be crowned the victor. No one could predict who would win, or when the war would be over.

Finally in the modern age a new leader took the Valcorian Throne. Endymion, a man who had no Mercy for the Romulens and desired only victory. He became notorious for hunting down Romulens and killing them in the most violent and creative ways. He was the strongest of the Valcors, and under his rule his Cland was on the verge of winning the war. The only thing that stood in his way was the newly crowned Queen of the Romulens, Serenity.
