I just wanted to thank everyone who reviewed this story. Especially haunting-sadness. This is their review.
Wow. my hand was shaking as I typed this and I had to delete some of the double letters. The thing is that this is just a down-play and it still leaves a horific image and an cold feeling in the pit of my stomach. What makes this even scarier is that my dad was an american soldier as were my grandfathers on either side and anyone of them could have been killed in war. This piece helped me relise how lucky I am for them being here so in addition to telling you this piece of writing was beautiful and haunting, I want to say thank-you.
I actually want to say thank you for this review. I didn't think my fanfics would touch anyone like that. I realized that World War Two was a horrible event in our history, but not how crushing until this year. I want this 'chapter' to be a silent remembrance to not only those killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the A-bombs, but also to the thousands killed in Tokyo by fire bombs. Thanks for taking the time to read this. It was somewhat controversial, as I am a Canadian living in America feeling more for the Japanese then anyone else.
