Terror of the Thunder Brothers

Inuyasha readied herself, she hadn't a lot of practice in swordplay, so she got into the best stance she could think of as she looked up at spear wielding lighting brother. She shook her head, 'Why is it never easy, no its always something.' She turned her gaze over to the other brother holding Kagome on a cloud. 'And of course, she's been taken as well.'

The half demon sighed as she hoisted the sword onto her shoulder ready to attack if they got close to her.

"Seems like your worth having fun with after all," The long-haired lightning demon smirked as he levelled his spear towards the dog girl. "Maybe once I have your jewel shards I'll keep you around as entertainment."

Her eye twitches as he speaks, darting back across the sky to the more human looking of the two demons, "Ain't nobody spoke to me like that and found the aftermath entertaining." She gave the thunder demon a death glare unlike any she had ever given before.

"HAHAHA!" The man laughed as he zoomed down towards her, "Excellent! In that case relish the sting of my blade to your hearts content!" His weapon cutting into her shoulder another jolt of electricity coursing through her body. As he zooms back again she jumps away watching the ground where she was standing explode as it is struck with the spear.

'Hiten's Raigekijen,' Inuyasha breath ragged, huffing and puffing as she watched the ground explode where she had been, 'That thing is dangerous.'

Again, and again Hiten strikes the ground, the half demon barely able to dodge each time as the ground explodes. "Hey why'd you stop defending yourself? Do you have a death wish?" The lightning user laughs as he purposely misses Inuyasha causing a rock behind her to explode sending her flying into the ground. "If you want to die then I can help you die properly." An evil grin spreads across his face.

"LIKE HELL!" Inuyasha voice is nearly drowned out by the sounds of lightning exploding the earth as she dodged each blow, 'Damn if those hit me I might actually die.' Nervous laughter escaping her lips as she watched a large boulder explode.

High above the exploding earth, riding atop a cloud, Kagome could only watch as her friend did her best to dodge the lightning and shrapnel. A twinge tugged at her, this was her fault, if she hadn't accidentally shattered the jewel Inuyasha wouldn't be in danger now. "Inuyasha…" Kagome whispered a silent prayer to herself hoping that the half demon would be okay and win.

"Hyahyahyahya!" the other of the two thunder brother demons holding her captive laughed as he watched Inuyasha dance around the erupting shrapnel caused by Hiten's strikes. "Go for it big brother Hiten!" the lizard-like demon roared with laughter before holding a finger to what could be called his chin, "Hyahyah I think I'll back him up." He grinned as energy began to gather in his mouth.

"Hey!" Kagome broke free of his grasp as his mouth filled with energy, "Both of you attacking at the same time isn't fair!" She pushed him with all her might managing to topple him off the cloud on which they sat. As the larger framed demon impacted the ground his attack erupted around him, a large crater forming where he landed as the attack expands.

Kagome didn't have long to cheer as the cloud she sat on vanished and she began to fall towards the ground.

"Kagome!" Inuyasha rushed from Hiten, dodging his blows as he lunged for her friend.

"Why you!" The elder of the thunder brothers yelled as Inuyasha managed to run from him, "Get back here and fight!" He chased after her thrusting his halberd again and again.

Kagome's shriek filled the air as she fell towards the ground. Inuyasha diving at the last second to grab her friend, scooping her out of the air and using Manten's head as a springboard to leap away as Hiten struck once again, his spear piercing the area where Inuyasha had last been.

"BROTHER!" Hiten cried out but it was too late, his blade had just pierced the head of his little brother, the explosion sending him and the two girls flying.

"Kagome, you alive?" Inuyasha coughs as she holds her friend tight.

"Yeah, thanks for catching me,"

"Lady Inuyasha!" Myoga leaped onto the shoulder of the half demon, "You need to destroy Manten's body before Hiten gets back up!"

"What are you talking about?" Kagome leans in looking at the flea.

"If Hiten eats his brother's heart or takes his jewel shards," Myoga starts looking up at his mistress.

"He'll have his power as well," Inuyasha's eyes went wide as she reaches for her sword setting Kagome down.

"Don't you dare!" Hiten came rushing back in his weapon drawn, again clashing with the half-demons, sending jolts of electricity through her body sending her to the ground. "I won't let you touch my brother's body!" The thunder demon stands over her body, his weapon aimed directly at her, an aura of menace emanating from him.

"AND I WON'T LET YOU HURT MY NEW FRIENDS!" a child's voice echoes from behind as a top comes crashing down on Hiten's with each rotation growing larger pressing down into the flying demon. The young fox landing next to Inuyasha as Hiten crashes to the ground nearby.

"Shippo…" Inuyasha groans out as she slowly gets to her feet, "What are you doing here, it isn't safe. Get out of here."

"And it's safe for you?" Kagome yells at her as she rushes over to help her be steady, "We all need to get out of here and regroup."

"If we do that he'll only get more powerful," the half demon shakes her head, her voice low and hushed both from the damage and the necessity of her words "I need to stop him here and now no matter what. Think you can get the shards off Manten's body? I'll keep the living one busy."

"I'll try my best," Kagome gives her friend a nod as she and Shippo run off heading towards the dead body.

"HEY THUNDERHEAD!" Inuyasha levels her sword at the the elder of the thunder brothers as Shippo's top stops spinning, "This is where I get serious."
