Tap

Tap, tap, tap, tap…

Prowl deliberately ignored the soft tapping on the wall beside his head. It had started about an hour ago and there was no indication that it would stop if he reacted, so for now he endeavored to ignore it as he attempted to go into recharge.

Taptap, tap, taptap, tap, taptap…

The tapper changed his rhythm, but Prowl still ignored him/they/it. Whoever they were, they were not going to get any satisfaction from his loosing his temper, which what he had deduced was the purpose of this nocturnal exercise. As he listened to the almost hypnotic beat, Prowl decided if he found out who the culprits were there would be a number of unpleasant chores awaiting them tomorrow morning.

Taptap, tap, taptap, tap, taptap, tap.

Prowl slowly sat up as he realised the tapping had stopped. He knelt and leaned closer to the wall, listening carefully and hoping against hope that the tapper had given up and left. But by now, Prowl really should have known better.

BANG!

"Yaah!"

Thud.

Prowl let out a squawk of fright and fell backwards as someone suddenly brought their fist down on the other side of the wall. He heard a laugh, accompanied by the sound of someone beating a hasty retreat. At this time of night it could have only been one person with that kind of sense of humor.

"SIDESWIPE!"
