His eyes were bluer than the sky
And shining like the moon
Always filled with mirth and joy
They went out all too soon

His hair was darker than the night
Without a streak of grey
Covering his handsome face
To everyone's dismay

His face was paler than the snow
But he never did look ill
I always liked his tender skin
And I think I always will

His laugh was clear as silver bells
It always made me smile
To know that he was having fun
Seemed to make my life worthwhile

But now he's gone, he won't come back
He fell behind the veil
And left me with an aching heart
Knowing that I failed

I promised not to leave his side
To stay forevermore
I said our love would always last
Despite this endless war

But now I know that I was wrong
I know I came too late
And so I had to stand and watch
As my lover met his fate

Tears are trickling down my face
As they always seem to do
When I think of Sirius
The only love I ever knew
