Total Control

Cameron sat at the table in the break room, reading the paper. Chase was pouring the coffee over on the counter. He was obviously uncomfortable, she could feel his many covert glances in her direction. She couldn't forget Foreman's comment about her having total control over her relationship to Chase.

"Oh, shoot." Chase had spilled coffee all over the counter top.

"Hey, Chase, I didn't mean it. I was just being glib."

He paused in his search for paper towels. "What?"

"When I asked what sort of sex could kill you. Truthfully, it makes me uncomfortable."

"I, uh, barely remember what you said." He was lying, andhis panicked look, eyes wide and accent more noticeable, was actually rather cute. Quite sexy, actually. She grinned inwardly and continued with her theme.

"I am made uncomfortable by sex. I mean, what happens to your body when you have sex? Your blood pressure skyrockets, your muscles start twitching like you're lifting something three times your body weight…" she watched the stunned look on his face as she continued the list. He was blushing by the time she started winding down. "It's violent and messy. If god hadn't made it incredibly fun, the human race would have stopped doing it a long time ago." She smirked, watching him staring down at her from about six inches away.

Chase, meanwhile, would have been twitching if he hadn't been too shocked at what she was saying. She looked completely innocent, like she didn't realize that she was talking about sex. It was making his blood race and his temperature rise and she was talking about it like it was something normal, mundane, like typing or cooking. When she finally stopped and smirked at him, Chase realized that Cameron had known exactly what she was doing. That little… well, she started it, he'd finish it. Acting totally on impulse and a sense of revenge, Chase leaned forward and kissed Cameron.

Cameron's eyes flew open, then slid shut. Although she couldn't believe Chase was kissing her, she certainly didn't care. God lord, no, she didn't care, in fact… she put one hand up and placed it on his cheek. Chase, who had quickly lost all thought of making Cameron pay for making him uncomfortable, wrapped one arm around her waist and brought the other up to cradle her head.

Neither of them moved from this sweet embrace until a cough brought them springing apart. Foreman looked pointedly at them from the doorway. Chase blushed harder, but Cameron winked at him. "You were right, Foreman. I did have total control. Oh, hello House."

Chase forced his thoughts from the pretty brunette next to him. Yes, time to go back to work now.
