The Mordorwocky

'Twas Third Age and the scary orcs

Did growl and torture in their caves.

Politely, Hobbits ate with forks,

But two were soon to change.

"Beware the Mordorwock, Frodo,

The Eye that sees, the rings that catch!

Beware the nine Ringwraiths, Frodo;

To Mordor ere they snatch!"

He took his elven sword in hand,

Long time the black-clad foe him sought,

So rested he under mallorn-tree

And stood awhile in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,

The Mordorwock with eye of flame

Saw him in the Golden Wood

And watched him as he came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through!
The Samwise-blade went snicker-snack!

They left evil dead, and o'er lava red

They went galumphing back!
"And hast thou slain the Mordorwock?

Come to my arms, my beamish boys!

O, frabjous day! Calooh, callay!"

He chortled in his joy.

'Twas Third Age and the scary orcs

Did growl and torture in their caves.

Politely, Hobbits ate with forks,

But two were soon to change.
