"Nee-Fuji-sempai," a voice called out softly, making the other boy open his eyes from his sleeping position.

"Sa-what is it?" The figure of Seigaku's youngest prince stood, ruffled faintly by sleep with eyes expressing pain and annoyance.

They were on a training trip once again. It was something Ryuzaki-sensei decided would benefit the youths. So here they were, at a mountainside together, to train in the altitude for the next set of tournaments. Fuji had his own room since normally he shared with Tezuka, but since the captain was gone, he had a room to himself.

"I can't sleep." Ryoma called out quietly, "Momo-sempai snores to loud." He indicated with a tilt of his head toward the bedroom next door.

Faint chuckles were covered delicately by Fuji's hand as he nodded his head in acknowledgment. "That he does." Grinning he lifted the covers of his blankets and gestured for Ryoma to join him, "Sa-hurry up. Get in here. I know it seems strange, but it is a good idea to get a good nights sleep."

Nodding his head, Ryoma sleepily settled onto the futon and felt the covers slid over him. "Arigato Fuji-sempai."

"Nnn, it's alright." Fingers lightly caressed the boy's hair as both boys drifted to sleep.

Sometime during the night, Fuji woke up to soft whimpering of the tennis prince. Leaning his head a bit closer, he made out Ryoma's soft cries of Karupin.

Smiling, Fuji let his arms comfort Ryoma as he whispered softly, "Don't worry—he's right here. Just sleep, Ryoma."

A sigh was heard before the green hair boy mumbled and fell back into a comforting sleep. Karupin the kitten seemed to be something precious to Ryoma, even though the boy wouldn't admit to weakness.

It was adorable and cute.

It was obvious that the feline was the young boy's safety net. Closing his eyes and laying back, Fuji fell back to sleep. It was interesting what one could reveal when asleep.

Then again, if he had to admit it to anyone, he was developing a security blanket during this time away. Before, Yuuta was his security blanket in different, foreign places. But since the other boy had flatly refused anything from him, Fuji was left with no security. Now, it seemed his new security blanket was in his arms.

Yawning, Fuji smiled a genuine smile as he and the boy in his arms were secure in dreamland.
