AN: Umm this was supposed to be a sidefic to an epic fic that my friend and I thought up. But I got lazier and lazier and now university work has crashed down around my ears so... its now a drabble! Tada!
Hermione bounced into the room.
"Hey!" She grins. She can be really perky when with her close friends. Hermione plopped down on Hadyies' bed.
Hadyies shut close the book she was reading. "Hey."
Silence filled the Gryffindor seventh year girl's dorm room as Hermione stared out the window. "Umm, are you doing anything tomorrow morning?"
Hadyies tilted her head to the side, her black-brown waves tumbling to the bed. "Nope. Just a potions essay. I plan to bum around this weekend, thank you."
Hermione turned teasing brown eyes in her direction. "You mean, you plan on 'bumming' around in Blaise Zabini's room?"
Hadrienne gave a sheepish smile. "Well... we're not exclusive.. So I just have to see what comes up." she gave Hermione a cheeky grin and a pair of waggling eyebrows.
Hermione stared at her in shock. "BLAISE ZABINI? Are you sure we're talking about the same guy here?"
Big opaline green eyes blinked up at her. "Umm...yeah. Why? Is there anything wrong?"
Hermione wore a puzzled expression. "Blaise Zabini is well-known for sending students to the infirmary when he goes through a jealous rampage. No one touches his possessions without permission from him, I heard him say once. Awfully brattish and petty of him, if you ask me. Are you perfectly sure that he said you guys aren't in an exclusive relationship?"
A sheepish grin. "Eh-heh? Well I kind of just naturally assumed... cause he didn't say anything about it, that it was just for... you know, fun."
Hermione frowned, deep in thought. "That's one of the many down sides in getting into a relationship with any Slytherin. Especially those in Draco Malfoy's circle. I hope you know what you're getting into, Slytherins are more often than not jaded, none of those mushy-mushy stuff for them."
A big fat sweatdrop touched Hadrienne's hair. I wonder what she'd say if she knew Draco was my cousin. "Hmm... is this based from experience? Are you not telling me something?"
Hermione's face became a dull red. "O-Of course not! I was merely making an observation," she fidgeted nervously, twisting Hadrienne's dark red bedsheets. "I'm just passing on what I heard from other people and what I've observed."
Hadyies hid her grin behind her book. Yeah right!
A few minutes pass in silence.
"Hadyies?"
"Hmm?"
"Will you go with me? I'm supposed to play badminton with Malfoy tomorrow...uh, we're trying to strengthen Inter-House relations and maybe discuss possible ideas for student-oriented projects this year. So...?"
Hadyies smothered the smirk she wore on the bedcovers. Inter-House relations my ass! Scheming Draco! So he plans to start courting his mate already...This is gonna be such fun. Poor Hermione, she doesn't know how crafty my cousin can be. And I think she likes him too! How sweet!
"Ish okay, I guess, I don't have anything to do tomorrow morning anyway! But may I suggest that you consider the advice that you just gave me." Hadyies teased.
Hermione blushed again. "This is different! This is purely about work! And Malfoy doesn't like me!"
Hadyies, satisfied with the reponse she got, turned back to her book. "Sure, whatever you say Hermione..." But her tone implied otherwise.
The end. Whatever.
