Chapter 1 – New life and Accidental Murder

(A/N: don't remember where the idea for this came from but I've had it for a long time let me know what you think by reviewing anyway here I go)

Sesshoumaru walked patiently through the woods as usual not really sure of his destination but simply followed his instincts as he usually did, he kept a fast pace because he had left Jaken, Rin, and Ah-Uhn a little ways back. He had a feeling something was going to happen…he could sense death in the air, and that's what he was being drawn to. Strangely enough mortal and demon alike we unknowingly seek that which would bring harm and are foolishly upset when we do not get it. He kept walking following his instincts until he picked up the scent of dead mortal, and by the smell he could tell the being had been dead for a long time but it did not smell as all deceased humans did. After a couple of minutes of following the scent he came upon what appeared to be a priestess and she was absorbing souls. "Why do you still walk the earth?" Sesshoumaru questioned. The woman turned to him and smiled

"That is my business." She waited a moment toying with him "and for me alone to know."

"Who are you?" Sesshoumaru questioned he had this strange feeling in his gut telling him to leave and not to ask anymore questions but there was something about her that made him curious forbidding him to leave. She laughed again but only for a brief moment

"You may not know me, but I know you very well…Lord Sesshoumaru and I…have been waiting for you." Sesshoumaru's calm facial expression did not change at all, it was not unusual for a demon of his class to meet people who knew him and he did not know.

"You've…been waiting for me?" he questioned

"Correct."

"Why?"

"Because…you are the one." She responded

"I have no time for your games, the one for what?"

"The one who can revive me."

"And why would I do that?" Sesshoumaru asked

"Because, you have no choice…don't you want to know why you were drawn here, why you had to find me?"

"…had to?"

"Yes nothing in life happens by chance, you have no choices…fate controls you and there is no way you can possible control it so don't try." Sesshoumaru remained silent for a moment considering his options

"Damn it Kagome will you hurry up?" Inuyasha screamed

"Carrying all this stuff isn't easy." Kagome screamed back

"Calm down Inuyasha." Shippo, Sango, and Miroku backed kagome up

"Feh!" Inuyasha expressed and turned his head, but quickly turned back hearing a crash. He turned to see kagome lying lifelessly on the ground. "Kagome…" he shook her "Kagome!" Inuyasha screamed

Sesshoumaru was surprised by the loud scream he heard and recognized it as his hanyou little brothers "..Inuyasha" he said aloud softly and turned looking at Kikyo "Now what?"

"We see what fate has in store for us." She responded
