"Now here is your lunch .I have put a dollar in there so you can get some milk. You can ask one of the big kids where to get that. Okay"
"And here is your phone number. I have wrote it down so call me if you need me.
Hi I'm Torrie. It is my first day at Hemery High. You would think that my parents would trust me to look after my self by now. They do. It is because this is my first day at a real school. You see, for the whole of my life I have been home-schooled. No particular reason really- it's just because before I lived on a farm in England. But know I'm here in L.A and I have got to go to school.

As Torrie stepped on to the road a big, yellow school bus came out of the blue.
"I'm ok," she said to herself," I can do this, first day at high school how hard can it be"
"Weirdo," shouted a boy," talking to herself. Clearly the first signs of madness. Hey Brett maybe you can give her parents the number of the Looney home your grandpa is in"
Torrie ignored the sarcastic remark and carried on her way to the class. She tried to dodge the grebos, Goths and skaters. They all looked so freaky.
