Friday evening. The DA's office had emptied like a high school hallway after someone set off a stink bomb. Jack had informed her they'd be staying late. She'd flipped him off once he turned to leave.
"Ol' grapefruit face," Serena muttered. Deciding she needed a break, she pulled a portable radio from her desk, scanning the stations until something caught her attention.
"Oh yeah!" She bellowed, hopping out of her chair to bounce around the office while boldly singing off key. She didn't notice Arthur and Jack standing in her door.
"My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard,
And they're like, 'It's better than yours.'
Damn right, its better than yours!
I could teach you, but I'd have to charge."
Jack grimaced, but Arthur looked on appreciatively.
"She's lucky I'm tone deaf."
