All of a sudden time had taken a massive leap, and they were no longer at Dawns and Mary Ann's house, by the way, did I mention they were sisters? Now they were at one of their famous club meetings, in half an hour they had managed to; take 10 phone calls, reply to ten phone calls and plan the decorations for the school dance.

"I don't think I wanna go to the dance," said Mary Ann

"Why" asked Claudia

"'Cos I get scared in public" she said

"No-one in New York is scared of public places" said Stacey

"I no, I'm so wet!" said Mary Ann, mentioning something that everyone else has known for a while

"Oh no your not" said Claudia, well, lets face it, they always said she was the dumb one

"I think I'll just stay at home, and play with my cat" Mary Ann said

"There's no need, we've already had about 12 books based on your cat" said Kristy, obviously the clever one

"I no, but what else can I do, all I have is my cat"

The BSC sat and thought about this for a long while.

"Oh no, our meetings over" said Kristy

"Yeah we better go" said Dawn

"Don't worry Mary Ann' said Jessi

"Yeah, we'll help you get over your fear" (boy, Mary Ann must be feeling reassured)

"No one has fears in New York" mumbled Stacey
