Disclaimer: I don't own the Gilmore Girls characters. I'm just borrowing them for a sec. See, they weren't harmed or anything.
Note: I know some people aren't crazy about Logan, they think he's Tristan Lite, but I sort of love him. So there.
He's not sure what it is about her.
She's pretty but not beautiful. Smart, but she's no Einstein. She does know how to argue, which is what got his attention in the first place. But he has half a dozen friends who are as good or better at that.
She's kind of innocent, which isn't something he's ever felt drawn to before. In fact, the more worldly the better, as far as Logan Huntzberger is concerned.
Maybe he's just finally starting to show that he has something in common with his half sister, Vivian.
Viv, who God blessed with an innate sense of style but not much in the brains department, loved nothing more than to do makeovers. she'd squeal, rubbing her hands together like some mad scientist out to exfoliate, highlight and tweeze the world into shape.
When she was done, the ugly duckling was invariably transformed, if not into a swan, at least into someone Logan was willing to make out with at a drunken teenage party.
He wants to make over Rory Gilmore.
A once in a lifetime experience! she'd cried, her hair mussed, face flushed from the seven-story leap of faith they'd just taken. And her smile was the first real, unguarded one he's seen so far.
Only if you want it to be, he'd replied, and he means to make sure it wasn't.
There's just something about her.
It makes Logan think that behind the repressed, dutiful student facade, there is a heart for adventure. She didn't let it out easily, though.
Or for long.
On the way home from the Life and Death Brigade party, he'd watched Rory reassemble herself, packing away the adventurous spirit, buttoning herself back up into an impartial reporter. An uninvolved observer.
Lucky for her, Logan has a talent for unbuttoning. And he isn't afraid to use it.
End.
