They sat on the porch swing, side by side, the picture of a perfect couple. He tossed a tennis ball across the yard, over and over, for the golden retriever who raced after it, barking loudly. Between them sat a child. Blond curls bounced around her tiny, chubby face. Her blue eyes sparkled as she watched the dog run back and forth, clapping her small hands each time he brought the ball back to her Daddy. Her mother, smiling, stroked the soft curls on the back of her infant's head.

She sighed in content, watching her husband of five years stroke the thick fur on the dog's back each time he ran back with the ball in his mouth, dropping it on the porch. Eventually, the dog flopped at the woman's feet, exhausted and panting for breath. It was autumn, and the yard was filled with leaves of gold, red and brown. The man went inside, leaving his wife and daughter on the porch swing. She sat with one leg tucked under her, the other gently pushing against the floor to move the swing whilst the small child cuddled under a blanket. Her head rested on her mother's swollen tummy.

Her husband came back out to the porch with mugs of hot chocolate, and handing both of the mugs to his wife, lifted his now-sleeping daughter from the swing to take her to bed. He returned soon after, planting a kiss on her abdomen, then another on her mouth. He wrapped his arm across her shoulders and she leaned her head on his. Each had a hand on her pregnant stomach as they watched the sun set on the horizon. Sue and Jack Hudson together like this was definitely a Kodak moment. Yes, picture perfect, that's what anyone watching them would say.

Absolutely NO idea where this came from but I hope you liked it! :o)
