From Above
Disclaimer: I do not own Stargate: Atlantis or the moon. (Note: the moon is not mentioned in this bit of drabble, but my ownership of it is still nonexistent. I simply thought I'd add it in for good measure. This way, no one can sue me for claiming the moon and all its cheesy parts.)
Summary: Major John Sheppard ponders, in 100 words, his love of aerial views.
From Above
Azurian Dreamer
I love ground. Not the actual touching of it, but its sight from above. I love looking down, I love taking in plains and slopes of ground and sea, knowing all the while there are stars, and galaxies, and space spanning fathomlessly above me.
When I left Earth, I could not imagine loving another planet's ground. I could not imagine loving a place so completely detached from my frame of reference. But as I soar above this place, my Atlantian home, I find flying is not only thrilling on Earth, and I learn that the meaning of 'home' is relative.
