The Once and Future Queen:
Natla After Being Locked in Limbo
Trapped inside a cruel crystal
Morbid, mechanical, and mean
Chained and sealed with utmost care
Stood the once and future queen.
No thoughts inside her corruptive skull
But thoughts of bitter, base revenge
For there were many wrongs done to her
That she meant gladly to avenge
For she had been a mighty queen
Who ruled Atlantis's mighty depths
Not alone but with two others
Tihocan and Qualopec
She had tried to use the power
Of the Great Atlantean Scion
To help her conquer all the world
By spawning large, deformed beings
Tihocan, wise and able ruler
And Qualopec, the other king
Imprisoned her inside the crystal
So that her plan would come to nothing
So there she stood for many years
Within the bowels of the earth
Locked away inside the crystal
With no chance of a rebirth.
Then suddenly, a mighty rumble
Shook her spirit to the core
In a flash, the prison shattered
Left her breathless on its floor
The thick, cold gel that embalmed her
Oozed through the cracks in the glass and metal cage
Natla slowly emerged only to find
She had entered a different age
There were now all sorts of odd machines
To do what creatures and man could not
The fact was, one of these inventions
A bomb, had let her out
She bought new clothes and changed her name
But even though she looked like new
Her evil purpose was the same
To control the world's genetic pool
Natla Tech had gleaming lights
And flashy gimmicks bright and new
But all that glittered was not gold
Her ancient plan to rule shone, too
She hired an able Texas chap
His cowboy friend and black hitman
A skateboarder and a tomb raider
To help unleash her dreadful plan
But Lara Croft, though blind at first
Wold bring her horrid plan to light
And in a cave beneath the earth
Would send Natla to flight
The Abomination* now is o'er
And Natla's reign brought to an end
But still lives on the dreadful horror
Of what the curs'd witch might have been
Atlantis's once and future queen
*The official name for the large, legless alien creature Lara defeats near the end of the original
