Faint sniffling and sobs could be heard bouncing off stonewalls in a narrow corridor, and Ginny thought it would only be kind to find out who it was and possibly comfort them. So she followed the sound of the crying, her arms folded against the cold.

As Ginny turned a corner she found Luna sitting on the floor, crying and looking down at her lap, playing with the sleeves of her robe. Her hair hung so it formed a shield around her face, preventing her from seeing Ginny at first.

"Ah, Luna, is everything alright?" Ginny asked tentatively, taking a step forward.

Luna whipped her head around to look at Ginny, her eyes red and puffy. She turned her head back just as swiftly and stared at the wall.

"Luna, why were you crying?"

"Oh, I wasn't crying," Luna stated, not a hint of a tremor in her voice.

"Well, I was walking and I heard..."

"Yes, I heard that too. It must have been the Turtle Waxed Snuggles." Luna leaned her head against the wall so she could more easily stare at the wall.

"The what?" Ginny asked.

"Turtle Waxed Snuggles. They're these slippery creatures that curl up into little balls and slide around, crying and weeping, and the only way to stop them is to snuggle them." She looked up at Ginny. "My dad told me about them."

"Snuggles, huh?" Ginny said.

Sitting down next to Luna, Ginny put an arm around her shoulder. "Snuggle...like this?" she asked as she brought Luna's head down to her shoulder and wrapped her other arm protectively around her.

"Something like this," Luna sighed. They sat in silence for a few moments.

Ginny noticed the pile of flyers sitting on Luna's other side. "Did everyone steal you stuff again, Luna?" she asked.

"Yes," she replied, "They'll probably bring it back though."

Ginny absentmindedly took Luna's hand from her lap and played with it as it hung limply, moving the fingers and stroking the wrist.

"My father gave me my mother's charmed bracelet for my birthday. I left it in the dorm one day," Luna said a little sadly.

"Why are your eyes all puffy?" Ginny asked, trying to get her to admit she was crying.

Luna tickled Ginny's palm. "I'm allergic to Turtle Waxed Snuggles. Everyone in my family is." She paused. "It really was a pretty bracelet though. Powerful too."

It was cold and dim from the torchlight, and Ginny was feeling comfortable and pensive. She placed a kiss on Luna's head.

Luna stiffened and pulled away. She stood up, taking her flyers with her. "I have to finish putting these up now." She ran away.

"What?" Ginny said aloud. Scrambling up she went after Luna.

"Luna? Luna wait! What did I do?" she said as she caught up with her.

Luna was putting a flyer up with spellotape on a wall. Once that was done she turned without looking at Ginny and walked farther down the hall. "You're confusing me, Ginny," she said matter-of-factly.

"No I'm not! Am I?"

Luna stopped abruptly and spun around to face Ginny. "Oh yes you are, you're being far too cute." She pointed a finger at the freckles on Ginny's face, began tracing them, her eyes getting wide. "Those little freckles are plotting against me." She took her hand away. "I'll cry for real, if you don't..." Luna leaned in and kissed Ginny softly on the lips. "Do you understand me?"

Ginny smiled a little. "Not most of the time, no. But..." she took Luna's hand, "Doesn't really matter."

"Achoo!" Luna sneezed, as a dark green ball slid pass them, sniffling and weeping as it went.
