Classical: I do not own Yu Yu Hakusho
"The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials."
-Chinese Proverb
Shuuichi, the most perfect living being on the face of the planet. All would bow down to him if he asked politely giving a cute look. So smart, so athletic, so beautiful. And I can never beat him in any area. I'm not handsome, or athletic. All I have ever had was my mind. I was always the top student until he came along. My first impression of him was a pretty boy loser with enough brain to fill half a thimble but I was wrong. I was surprised when my name wasn't at the top of the list. Shuuichi, who was he? I looked around and saw him. The pretty red headed boy surrounded by a group of girls.
"Wow Shuuichi-kun you're so smart!" one of the girls squealed. He politely smiled said something and walked away to the girls' disappointment. Amazing. Someone who had beaten me on exams. Who was this Shuuichi? I asked myself. I had to know more. I had to know how there could be a being so perfect in every single way. Where was his weakness? Where were his insecurities? I watched him. I soon began to feel something for him. Lust. Pure lust. How could one so beautiful and strong beat me? How could they be so smart? I wanted him. I suppose its human nature. Wanting something you can't have, but I was determined. I would have him, by force if necessary. Shuuichi would be mine.
Then I got my powers of Taboo. I learned the truth. He wasn't human. That's why he was so perfect. The fact that he was a demon made me want him even more. Genki gave us orders. Perfect. I would have Shuuichi, no, Kurama. I would have what no other being in the Human World has had. All I had to do was play a little game.
"Kaito." His voice calm, masked, but I knew there was shock. I smirked. Welcome to my world Kurama.
Classical: Kaito's thoughts when he first meets Kurama up to when he battles him in a duel of wits.
