Butterfly Wing Kisses. Pairing: KibaShino Summary: "Kiba doesn't think he wants to let Shino fly away just yet."

Shino's kisses are far too light. Like ghosts, and tiny, tiny insect legs that you can feel crawling against your skin - barely there, but enough to make you itch like crazy. His lips are cold and dry, and far too quiet. There is no moaning, in this kiss. No wet sucking, no harsh panting, nothing; because Shino's presence is never loud, never violent, never noticeable until it's far too late.

And it's a horrible, awful, dangerous way to kiss because it makes Kiba want so much more. Every movement of Shino's silent mouth makes Kiba want to take a fistful of the Aburame's too-wild hair and crush their lips together, harsh and hot - teeth and tongues and none of this butterfly- wings crap that Shino likes to pull.

But he doesn't, and he won't, because while Shino is one of the strongest people Kiba knows, there is just something that makes him want to be careful with the Aburame. Because sometimes he thinks that if he kisses too hard, squeezes too tightly, holds on too long, Shino will dissolve into a mass of black insects and just fly away.

And though Kiba doesn't need Shino to sustain his continued existence, Kiba doesn't think he wants to let Shino fly away just yet.

Because while he hates hates hates those too-light, silent, barely-there kisses, he'll miss them so much when they're gone.
