I TOLD you I had a lot of ideas…but nooooo, you didn't listen…

Green foam frothed at the brim of the flask. Numair Salmalin carefully added a drop of blue liquid, and waited anxiously for the result. Steam rose from the top. A cloud of bluish green mist burst upwards like smoke from a volcano, then settled submissively down. He sighed with relief and dabbed at his sweaty brow with a damp kerchief.
Then the flask began to rattle. Numair bolted up in alarm and began flinging papers containing equations and unpronounceable words all over the room frantically. Heavy blue smoke that smelled of rotten eggs poured out of it. Glowing green mist-like foam overflowed and slopped onto the desktop.
"Oh shit," Numair whispered, halting in his paper-flinging to stare in horror at the frothing flask. "I'm dead."
He snapped back to reality, raising his hands over his head. Black lightning crackled at his fingertips and he launched it at the flask. Instead of exploding, like it should have, the foam drank it in. The fluffy substance split in two, forming a ball of dark green, and another of dark blue.
Without warning they zoomed past Numair and burst out the door. He swore he heard them cackling.
----------
Behind a door marked Keladry of Mindelan, a young girl slept peacefully and dreamlessly. Her maid rested comfortably behind curtains. Neither heard the small sucking noise as a green blobby sphere materialized through the door.
----------
Behind a door marked Joren of Stone Mountain, a young man snored vociferously and restlessly. He twitched randomly, a smile flitting across his face as he imagined a naked Lady Uline settle smartly between his legs. He never remembered the small sucking noise as a blue shapeless globe materialized through the door.
----------
The blobs met in the hallway - the green was in the shape of the sleeping girl, the blue in the sleeping boy. They dissolved into each other, emitting soft squelching noises when they parted. Now the green was the boy, and the blue was the girl.
The green traveled back past the door marked with the girl's name. It stretched itself out into a long slinky rope, and slithered into her parted mouth.
The blue bobbed back past the door marked with the man's name. It, too, stretched itself taut like a fine wire, and wiggled into his wide-open mouth.
The orbs settled comfortably in their bodies. If fadelessly blobs could express themselves they would be smirking with self-satisfaction. Their job was done.

Creepy…I have other fics I'm going to put up too. It's just to try to get rid of my Entwined-Destinies-block. I did this one first because Kassi thought this one was funny. Anyways, R/R, please.
