I am alone in the Darkness

I miss the smell of the sea,

The feeling of squishy sand in between my toes,

The splash of the surf; no longer sprays upon my face.

I am alone in the Darkness.

There is not a being but me here;

I mustn't loose hope, for this is the path I chose,

No smiling, joyous faces, or wide open places;

I am alone in the Darkness.

Kairi, I miss your long auburn locks and tiny chuckle,

I miss our long conversations beside a smoky bonfire,

I left you behind, it is all my fault.

I am alone in the Darkness.

We'd pretend to be pirates; with swords, hats and a buckle,

We would play all day and would never ever tire,

I should stop this rant, bring it to a half for;

I am alone in the Darkness.

This plea and wish of mine are the entity of my emotions,

Kairi, you remember me right?

Your long lost friend?

It is I, Riku,

I miss you,

I love you,

Without your warm smile and compassion

I am alone in the Darkness.

Author's Note:

Ha! I was bored during my spare and wrote this; instead of writing my sociology IRP (Individual Research Project) on Canadian Immigration Policies. This is a pretty crappy poem about Riku missing Kairi, him voicing his love for her – even though she can't hear him or return his love because he is both stuck in the world of Kingdom Hearts and because of Sora. All right, all together now: awwwwwww!
