Author's Notes: I was always a fan of "So Weird" and when it went off, like
every other fan I was crushed. I never really wrote a fic for it when it
was on, and I thought I would write a fic for it now. It's been awhile
since I've seen it, so please excuse if the characters are OOC. Also, never
really liked Annie and yet I'm writing an Annie/Jack fic. I've tried to
ignore the plot bunnies who are making me write this, but I can't. Plus, I
want to write something new. Hope you enjoy.

Mr. Midnight:
By: Fancy Face
When Annie left Molly's band to pursue a solo career, Jack was heartbroken. They tried a long distance relationship but it didn't last long. The last thing Jack heard from Annie was that she was in LA now, and she was dating some big music star, but he didn't know who, and he really didn't care, of course that was a lie. He did care. Jack never really stopped loving Annie.
Rain on the roof and time on my hands
It sure seemed quiet out there in radio land
They call me at the all-night station
Make their special dedications
And I do my best to play their request
When it's a desperate situation
This was a desperate situation
Like Annie, Jack separated himself from his mom's band. He went on and tried to do other things, but since music ran in the family he couldn't hid from that. Instead of joining another band, he decided to become a DJ back at his home town. He was one of the top DJ's there, and most of the time, callers called in to dedicate a song to their loved one. He always managed to find the right love song for caller.
I'm Mr. Midnight along and blue
The brokenhearted call me up
When they don't know what else to do
Every song is a reminder of the love that
That they once knew
I'm Mr. Midnight
Can I play a song for you
Jack enjoyed his job but every now and then he couldn't help but think of Annie when a love song came on. He wondered if she ever still thought of him. One night, he got his answer.
"Caller on the line could you please hold on?"
I recognized her voice the minute I picked up
the phone
Should I tell her that it's me or leave it at a memory
Haven't been myself since the day she left
And I'm forever gonna be
I'm forever gonna be
I'm Mr. Midnight along and blue
The brokenhearted call me up
When they don't know what else to do
Every song is a reminder of the love that
That they once knew
I'm Mr. Midnight
Can I play a song for you
Jack couldn't believe that Annie was now on the phone with him. After all these years. However, he wondered if she knew who she was talking to. He was surprised when he heard his name.
"Jack..."
"Annie..."
Imagine my surprise when she spoke my name
She said " Could you tell him that I love him
and I wish things could be the same."
Then a voice I never knew
Said: "Honey, who you talking to?"
Annie had just confessed that she still loved him. Before Jack could say anything, he heard her boyfriend on the other end. Annie couldn't talk anymore. Click. She had hung up. Jack managed to find her their old love song and played it for her. As he sat there and listed to the song, he realized that things could never go back to the way they were. He was forever going to be a lonely DJ, playing songs for the brokenhearted.
I'm Mr. Midnight along and blue
The brokenhearted call me up
When they don't know what else to do
Every song is a reminder of the love that
That they once knew
I'm Mr. Midnight
Can I play a song for you
End.
