[ What if Sakura and Gaara met each other when they were young for only a day? [GaaSaku] ]

Gaara sat alone on his swing watching the other kids play. It was what he usually did, he sighed. Why am I so different? He thought.
A pink-haired girl saw him, and approached him. "Hi," she said shyly. The boy looked up at her bright-green eyes. "H-hello."
At first he was hesitant, but she smiled so warmly that it warmed him, too. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw her held out her hand to him, "I'm Sakura."
He just stared at her hand, and Sakura was starting to think she did something wrong. She was about to retreat it, when Gaara grasped it.
"Gaara. My name's Gaara." He said shyly. Sakura shook their hands and a small smile graced her face.
"Uhm.. c-could I stay with you?" she continued. "The other kids don't wanna play with me, coz' they said I have a huge forehead."
He looked at her forehead, "No, you don't." She held her bangs up, "Yeah, I do."
He poked her forehead, "Little bit." She pouted. Then she regained her smile, and sat down on one of the swings.
"You don't who I am, do you?" Gaara asked looking down. "No.. should I?" Her face becoming worried.
"Everyone fears me, because.. I have a demon living inside of me." He said. Gaara was starting to get worried, maybe he should have never told the truth. He probably lost his first friend.
"Theres a kid like that in Konoha, too." He heard her say. He looked up at her, "T-there is?"
"Yeah, mom says he causes trouble because he wants attention.." She continued "I wanna be his friend, but my mom says to keep away from him."
"Uhm.. so you're not from here?" Gaara asked. She smiled, "Uhm, yeah. I'm from Konoha Village. I just came with my parents."
"What.. what are your parents doing here?" He asked.
"I dunno.. I just came."
Silence.
"Gaara-kun, would you like to play with me before I leave tommorow?" She asked.
He was hesitant and didn't know how to answer, but he decided on something.
"Sure, Sakura-chan."
They both smiled, shyly. She held out her hand and he took it.
"I think you have a large forehead, 'coz you're smart." Gaara said while they were walking.
"I think you look cute with those black thingys around your eyes, " she giggled. "You look like a panda, I like pandas."
He blushed, and she blushed at what she said, "Thanks." They both said in unison.

Hehehehehehe, seriously, what if they met each other when they were young? Well, it was only a day anyway. ^^; I still think it would be cute if it did happen. XD I get excited when I think about it, yatta! XD
