(A:N/ First off this poem is the direct result of me spending way to much time in Barnes and Nobles reading MARS over and over again. As well as having a 6 hour flight with nothing to do but think of a poem and here it is. This is my first Mars poem and I'm in love with the series beyond belief. Please R&R) (Thanks Moonlight Shadow4 for the grammer tip... sometimes It gets hard to spot!)
Story of an Angel
On the surface they'rea mirror
But inside their black & white
A tortured artist who lived with a broken heart
A guardian angel driven by violence
In his heart one kept a secret
That only death brought to life
No longer two
But one and a memory
A secret past and shadowed future
Can one survive on his own?
Driven by a ruthless existence
A race to the end of all he knew
The guardian angel lost his soul
Afraid to feel, afraid to be loved
That he might lose everything again
But in the dark a light shone through
A pure heart abandoned to a silent pain
Suffering secret evils behind closed doors
So he spread his wings and let her in
Dropping the barriers that poisoned his heart
In the light of their love it melted away the darkness
And in rescuing her
He saved himself
