Chapter 1 – the River of rain, blood and tears
Betrayed
Kagomes point of View
It had been three weeks and I still could not get up, I could not walk. Kaeda said it was just my powers getting ready to blossom. However, everyone knew otherwise, everyone still remembered the fatal night three weeks ago when the moon was full and the three extra liquids feel down the river. Rain, blood and tears. All because of Inuyasha for he could not be smart enough to know when Kikyo was tricking him. It started out like any old shard hunt, the sun was shinning and there was a light breeze. Maybe that is why Inuyasha never smelled Kikyo or Naraku coming but then again maybe it would not have even mattered. A

Kagome Point of View
Everything was calm; Sango was tired because we had been walking all night, because I had sensed two shards to the north. I was riding my bike down a path but was having a hard time petting for Inuyasha nor me had sleep; partly because of wanting to be done and over with this and partly because they (Miroku and Sango) need us to find them (To be explained in a latter chapter) . The wind was away from us. Therefore, Inuyasha could not smell any kind of demon.
(You know how like when you are down wind that no one north of you can smell you.)
"Kagome are you getting anything about the location." Inuyasha asked, seeing my dropping eyes going farther and farther down.
"No Inuyasha." I said, so tired that I could not petal anymore and just stood with the bike under me.
"Inuyasha, Kagome is obviously tired, the best thing to do is to let her get some sleep." Miroku said awake from getting a couple hours on Kilala before Sango
"Fine!" Inuyasha said a scowl on his face as he picked me off my bike, setting me down on the ground motioning me to stay, while he walked over to Kilala and arranged my bike so that it could be there without discomforting Sango or Kilala.
Then, he picked my sleeping form up and carried me bridal style; to make sure I would not fall off his back.
Two hours later, we made it to where I thought I felt the jewel shard.
Inuyasha found the demon he was looking for, a spider demon with two jewel shards in his back.
"Kagome wake up!" Inuyasha said trying to wake me up before he could attack.
"Miroku, Sango, Shippo, go I will be right back, I have to put Kagome somewhere safe!" Inuyasha screamed running off so that he could find where I was not to be seen.
He found a small little bush by the river, which had just enough space for me to be. Once he was satisfied, he jumped up flew off to battle.
When he was gone a figure stepped out from be hide the tree, showing the woman who tried to kill me more times than one...
Kikyo.
She raised her bow and fired at the bush that concealed me.
Luckily, I woke up upon felling that something was wrong, that I need to get out of what ever I was in.
Therefore, I jumped out of the bush; seconds before the arrow hit.
The arrow created a huge light; disengaging that bush along with the tree behind it.
Now I was backed up to the river, nowhere to go or to run.
Just Kikyo before me, with her bow & arrows and a look that said 'that she was in her right mind and had the goal of killing me for the last time'.
I shivered in fear.
"Kikyo, what are you doing." I said, a little short of voice from the death that was in front of me.
"I have come to kill you Kagome, so that you will not interfere anymore.
Naraku wants you gone so now I will fulfill his wish and mine." Kikyo said softly at the last words but just loud enough for me to hear as she aimed another arrow at my head.
She hit my arm and waist and chest area with her arrow, for I had no chance of escape.
I fell into the river with the force of the arrow, the icy & salty waters only making it hurt worse.
Then it all went blank, the last thing I remember was the smell of the blood in the river.
The river current was strong but I could still feel the rain hit me as my body went with the current down the river.
The last thing I saw was the face of the pale, earth form of Kikyo with a grin on her face that was caused y the knowledge that she had completed Naraku's and her wish of my death.
Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sango had Naraku down on his last leg. His power almost gone, when Kikyo appeared behind Naraku to stand be next to him. The looks of accomplishment on her face, no regret in her eyes and somewhat happy look for the first time in over 50 years.
(If anyone is happy that Kikyo looks happy right now after what she did SHAME ON YOU!)
"Kikyo, what are you doing here?" Inuyasha said looking a little stunned, that she had come to help Naraku, However, happy to see her once again no matter what the meeting.
"She was just completing the task I asked her if she would like to do." Naraku said sharing the same smile; that Kikyo had herself.
"But that is of no matter to you Inuyasha, now let's battle." Kikyo said giving Naraku a vile that contained a healing potion.
Seconds later Naraku appeared to be back to full health and ready to fight.
Well Inuyasha had a choice he could go to see what they were talking about 'their' plan.
"It is so obvious what our plan is that; only someone who is an idiot could miss it." Kikyo said laughing while looking at half demon that was fighting with himself mentally.
On the other hand, he could stay here to protect and maybe even save Kikyo from Naraku.
Yes, that is what he would do.
If only he would have remembered that girl he had left behind the one when he saw Kikyo's face, for when he did his mind had shunned her out. Only to return once reminded.
Little could he figure out that she was the one who really needed his help?
She had hung on to a rock all night, her blood slowly falling out of her body, life along with it.
Wishing, hoping for Inuyasha to come save her.
However, her hope was rushing out of her body along with the life and her blood.
The fight was over.
Inuyasha had destroyed the Naraku he now knew was switched for the real Naraku, when Kikyo had showed up.
'Demon puppet.' Everyone but Kikyo thought looking down at ashes that used to be the puppet.
"Well Inuyasha, I bid you fare well." Kikyo said, never losing the grin that was on her face thrown out the entire night.
"Wait Kikyo, do not leave.
We have freed you from Naraku, now you can come with us and die without regret." Inuyasha said, hope in his eyes. However, he missed the look of disgust coming from his partners.
"Inuyasha you are truly a fool you fought all night against the demon puppet and I, yet never even bothered to think of what my little task was.
You have forgotten something that will make you want to die." Kikyo said her back still turned but her smile growing.
"So Inuyasha I say thanks to you and to the one I killed...
Kagome." Kikyo said, walking off with a very happy grin on her face; knowing that Inuyasha would just come to her and say I am ready to die or kill him once he sees his beloved little mortal dead.
The second that Kagomes named had been mentioned Shippo had K.O.ed, Sango had fainted, Miroku had turned white and eyes look about to run with tears, and Inuyasha lost all color looked like a dog that had just been shot in the heart.
"I most enjoyed my part in this." Kagura said appearing from the bush into the clearing, closing her fan and walking away with Kikyo.
Now with Kagura not controlling the wind Inuyasha, Shippo, Kilala, Miroku, and even Sango could smell the blood and ran towards it.
What they came to it is a river red with blood, the rain now going into their eyes. Then they came to me, I was hanging over a red rock red from blood.
Over the two weeks that followed Kagome's body started to heal, but she did not wake.
When she did wake up she felt a feeling that was not normal for her... Hatred.
She saw Kaeda come in and she remembered why; Inuyasha had betrayed her.
"Kagome, so glad ye are awake." Kaeda said, running to her forehead.
"Kagome, I must tell you something." Kaeda said, sitting down in front of me.
"Your powers are about to come out and blossom in one to four weeks." Kaeda said, with a sorrowful look on her face.
"However, Kagome, there is something wrong. I can feel ye powers are a great sense of anger; you must become the person you once were to make the power pure.
If not all of the demons powers will rise to an unspeakable evil and all that is good will is gone." Kaeda said, looking at me; worry noticeable in her old face.
However, I did not care about the world right then all I cared about is that Inuyasha had betrayed me and how to get him.
That is how it has been, day after day healing, but still feeling the hatred towards the one who had caused me so much pain.
My anger growing with each day that past, I never saw him come to me, he stayed away which only deepened my anger.
The man who had forgotten about me, never came to see if I was alright would pay, I would see to it if I had to die to achieve my goal.
Naraku had achieved his goal, it was a different goal but now I would kill him with my own to hands, not because I was tricked but because I was betrayed.

Ok there is the revised chapter; you might see that I changed some of the words just to add to the angst. I also added in something just to make you think hehe and there is something in this chapter that was not in the old chapter that will appear in the chapter somewhere around chapter thirteen to fourteen. See you then!
