I Samwise

By: Luthien Anaclime

All I ever wanted,

Was peace, and joy, and flowers,

Tending to the garden,

For hours upon hours.

A simple hedge, I meant no harm,

Who would expect, not me,

That one little conversation,

So important could be.

So now I'm off to Mordor,

A walking stick in hand,

Such a desolate place,

Such a cold and heartless land.

I must be strong,

For Mister Frodo weakens still,

We must go on,

It is now that I miss ol' Bill.

A golden band,

A retched ring,

By a wicked hand,

A cursed thing.

How I crave for them strawberries,

For pints, for meals, for flowers,

But here I stay, at my master's side,

For hours upon hours.

It will be Spring again,

Spring blooms again in the Shire,

How I miss my Gaffer's face,

The golden green ol' Shire.

No orc shall ever stop me.

None of Gollum's stinkin' lies.

For I shall stay true,

To Mister Frodo, I, Samwise.
