Journey to Planet Vegeta - Chapter 1

She hated everyone. How dare they not let her go?

Her dad and her grandpa were both headed for Namek, but wouldn't let her go. She sighed in annoyance, sick of the way they were always treating her like a little kid. "That's it," she cried out loud, losing what little patience she had left. "I need to get away."

Without thinking twice, she grabbed her rucksack and started to shove her things inside it. Once she was ready, she flew out of her window, heading towards Capsule Corporation. A plan was already forming in her head. "I'm going to Namek whether they like it or not," she muttered angrily. It would teach them not to take her lightly. If this was what it took for them to realise she was nearly an adult, then so be it.

Pan was almost 18, and had grown up to be what men would describe as absolutely stunning. She was a ¼ Saiyan, but very strong. Training hard over the years had been very beneficial in more ways than one.

She landed outside Capsule Corporation and sneaked inside. Capsule Corporation was owned by Bulma Briefs who was heiress to billions, but she had disappeared in outer space after she took off in her spaceship over twenty years ago, and there had been no sign of her ever since.

Pan couldn't wait to see their faces when they found her on Namek, but before she went, she knew she should leave some kind of note. Grabbing a piece of paper and a pen, she quickly wrote a letter for her parents and teleported back to her house. She left it on her bed and teleported back.

It was a good thing her grandpa had taught her how to do that.

Deciding she should take some capsules with her, she looked carefully over the selection, helping herself to a few she would need. Once she was done taking all that she needed, she left the building, teleporting somewhere quiet. She looked around; making sure no one was about when she threw one of the capsules on the ground. There was a poof, and when the smoke cleared, a spaceship stood before her.

Grinning excitedly, she hurried inside, closing the door shut behind her. She looked around and gasped, staring wide-eyed at her surroundings. "Wow," she muttered in awe. "It looks exactly like a house!"

Feeling the urge to explore, she came across a small room with buttons and dials all over the place. Her dark eyes lit up with interest as she observed everything carefully, not noticing the small box on the floor right next to her feet. Spotting the manual, she moved towards it, but caught her foot on the box, which caused her to fall forward, her hand landing on a large red button when she had reached out to steady herself.

The spaceship immediately started up and launched up into the air, sending her flying back, her back connecting painfully against the nearest wall. When the speed had decreased to an extent, she was able to get back up on her feet, rushing towards the button she'd pressed; quickly realising she'd pressed the take-off button.

Releasing a moan of despair, she looked around desperately; knowing deep down there wasn't anything she could do, not when the spaceship had already took off.

Looking through the manual confirmed her suspicions. There was nothing she could do until the spaceship had landed, wherever it was that she was headed.

Deciding to distract herself, she headed towards the small kitchen she had spotted earlier. Grabbing a bite to eat, she settled down on a comfy sofa close by, her gaze wondering aimlessly. Spotting her bag, she decided to sort through the capsules she had picked up, separating the important ones from the least important ones. Rummaging near the bottom, her hand landed on something hard and pulled it out. It was a small picture frame of her family.

She sighed deeply, her eyes scanning every inch of the picture.

Sometimes, she knew she reacted out of stubbornness and made hasty decisions, but it wasn't her fault. All she ever wanted was to be treated equally, like everyone else. Why couldn't her family see how much being a stronger fighter meant to her? She had spent nearly all her life training to be a better fighter. It was a huge part of her, something she could never change, but they couldn't respect that.

"I suppose running off like this wasn't the best thing to do," she broke the silence, concluding her actions weren't going to change anything. In fact, it was only going to cause more problems. "I'm sorry everyone."

Putting the picture frame back inside her bag, she looked around for something to do. She needed a distraction and fast. Seeing nothing, she exhaled out loud, closing her eyes as she leant back against the arm rest…

"I wonder what Pan's up to," Videl wondered out loud, heading upstairs towards her daughter's room. There had been no sign of her ever since the argument she had with Gohan about going to Namek. Shaking her head lightly as she recalled the display of stubbornness from both her husband and daughter, she knocked on Pan's door, hoping her daughter had gotten over her anger by now.

Getting no answer, she frowned, pushing open the door to find an empty room. She was just about to check the bathroom, when her eyes landed on the piece of paper on the bed and moved to pick it up.

As she read the contents of the note, Videl's eyes widened in horror, and she turned to leave the room quickly…

Pan opened her eyes, blinking several times to wake herself up. She must have fallen asleep at some point, she realised. The thought quickly faded when she noticed something important. The ship wasn't moving anymore. Getting up quickly, she rushed towards the nearest window and looked out, her eyes growing large in disbelief. She was on some planet, surrounded by what looked like a jungle, considering all she could see was blue sky and trees, and more trees.

Concluding that sooner or later someone would notice the ship, she quickly grabbed her rucksack and exited the spaceship, pressing the button which would return the ship inside its capsule. Once that was taken care of, she picked up the capsule and shoved it rapidly into her rucksack.

Mere seconds later, she sensed powerful kis heading towards her, confirming her fears. On instinct, she lowered her ki and hid herself behind the cover of the trees. A small group of men in weird clothing arrived some time later, stopping in the exact same spot the ship had landed a short while ago.

"I could have sworn I sensed someone here with a very strong ki," said one of them, looking confused.

"Yeah, me too," the other one frowned, looking around suspiciously.

"But there's no one here," the third one spoke up, glaring at the other two. "You were probably imagining things."

"It must have been a false alarm," they finally decided and left.

Pan came out of hiding after waiting several long minutes, obviously relieved. Looking around, she considered her options. After much pondering, she decided to have a look around, and find someplace to set up camp before she planned what to do next.

She turned to walk in the opposite direction to the one those men had taken, not wanting to bump into them anytime soon.

After walking for a few hours, she stopped, feeling tired. Finding a comfortable spot, she sat down and opened one of the food capsules to eat…

"What do you mean she's gone?" Gohan almost shouted when he came home.

Videl handed him the letter, waiting impatiently while he read it. She watched as his expression changed from confusion to anger.

"How dare she do this?" He muttered angrily before rushing out of the house, a worried Videl right behind him...

She must've fallen asleep again, because when she woke up she noticed the darkness around her. It was night time already.

"Where am I?" She mumbled sleepily, but soon remembered, sitting up quickly as she glanced urgently around her.

It was then she felt a strong ki nearby and stopped, holding her breath. Whoever it was, they were close. Hesitantly, she decided to investigate, lowering her ki immediately as she moved.

As she made her way towards whoever it was, she could hear loud cursing. She peeked out from behind a tree and saw a young man with his back to her. She waited for him to turn around and when he did, she almost gasped.

He was, without a doubt, the most gorgeous man she had ever seen. He had short lavender hair, a colour she had never seen before on a guy, let alone a woman. His eyes were a shocking blue, rivalling even the blue of the ocean.

Before her eyes could peer over him any further, she froze, noticing his eyes glaring suspiciously in her direction. She swallowed nervously when he headed towards her, seeing no way out…
