A/N: I have no idea what possessed me. I never write Omi and I at least want to believe I don't write stuff like this (short and cute, that is...). I shall blame Yuki Hiro's Papersnow and Ordinary life for all this…

Snow

It was snowing. The small snowflakes were dancing in slow motion as if trying to prove their worth and individuality before falling to the ground among the other similar snowflakes. There were no two identical ones but it was so hard to tell that it didn't actually matter.

Omi had always enjoyed watching the snow falling down from the skies. The white made the world move in slow motion; it made everything look so calm and peaceful that it was almost easy to forget about all the bad things that kept existing – no matter if it was snowing or not.

The little blonde didn't want to care about the bad things at the moment. He had been sitting by the window for quite some time now, just enjoying the sight of the falling snow. It really had a calming effect – at least on him.

It was a funny thing. The people walking down the streets seemed to slow down their steps and forget about their hurry in the silent snowfall. When you added the fact that the sky was slowly turning to a darker shade of velvety blue, the view really was worth a little happy smile.

Omi leaned to his arms and kept gazing through the window. A brief breeze of wind rushed by and made the snowflakes dance a little faster. Soon, anyhow, they settled back to their slow motion again. Omi yawned and his breath created a small patch of fog to the windowpane. Without a thought he wrote his own name to the fog and then wiped it away. Like a human life, he thought; created in a heartbeat and vanished in another. Shame that the latter one was his job to do.

He shook his head at this. He had decided not to think of bad things and what was he doing at the moment? It was a though job being an assassin.

One more gaze. He really liked the snowfall. Had always liked, actually. It had been too long since he had had a good snowball-fight with someone, though.

An expectant smile rose to his lips and with that he walked out of the room. Maybe someone had enough sense of humor to come out and play with him…
