A story about Raditz's revival set in an alternative universe. With unlikely allies and fearsome battles ahead of him, will he survive? Or return to Hell? Maybe there's something more in store for this forgotten Saiyan.

I apologize in advance for poor grammar and spelling.

A tall figure strolled around in circles inside the dark and solitary cage. His long mane swayed as he held the head. While he moved from one spot to another, the man murmured some incomprehensible words. Sweat slid down his rough face as he approached the wall. He removed the hands from his head and placed them against the wall. The man lowered his head and stared at the rocky ground while the cold sweat dripped from his chin and nose. His eyes were wide open, and the once black orbs were almost transparent. The fading light from the crimson sky shone upon the stressed figure who got closer to the breaking point.

He pulled his left hand off the wall, only to place it on the chest. Underneath his fingertips, there was a hole in the armor. It was quite large, and it reminded him of the past. He clenched his teeth and released a weak growl. Slowly, he dropped on his exposed knees and slammed his head against the floor. He remained in the same position for a while, letting out growls and whimpering noises as his body trembled.

Each time he opened his eyes, it was getting worse and worse. Just how long was he stuck in this eternal Hell? He couldn't even remember the last time he saw a person or anything with some intelligence. The days, nights, months, years, he spent them all in solitude, and it drove him insane. There wasn't even a way to tell how much time went by ever since he ended in here. It didn't help that he got left with his thoughts in this tiny prison. His thoughts were his biggest enemy.

Whenever he closed his eyes, the memories began to appear. The life of conquest and glory flashed before him as he stood on top of countless corpses. Wrecked and annihilated cities in the far distance behind his muscular back as the wind swayed his black hair. While the innocent blood dripped from his hands, a proud, wicked smirk appeared on his face. His companions were laughing and mocking the weak who got stomped by their might.

He laughed alongside them until he heard a faint sound. As he turned around, his pupils trembled at the sight. The cries of his victims grew louder as they tried to curl their fingers around him. He tried, and with all his strength to break free, but they would always prevail. He cried for help, but his companions laughed and paid no attention. His screams reached no one and eventually died out as he fell into darkness. He continued to fall through the cold void until the dark scenery changed.

The entire plain suddenly shifted. He stood under the warm sunlight on a green and vast field. Several white clouds were sailing across the blue sky. It was quiet, and the air so fresh. He could feel the breeze on his skin, and it felt good. For a moment, he closed his eyes, enjoying the strange feeling of peace and fulfillment. However, it didn't last long. His ears twitched at the sound of light footsteps and a child's crying. He opened his eyes and slowly shifted to the side, only to see a little boy with a monkey tail whaling and calling for his mother.

His hands began to shake as a single drop of sweat rolled down the cheek. Before he could speak to the crying boy, a familiar voice caught his attention. It came from behind, but he didn't want to turn. The voice repeatedly called his name, over and over again, but he remained frozen. He bit his lower lip so hard that it slowly started to bleed. But the voice didn't stop calling him.

After what seemed like an eternity, he finally turned around and gazed at the younger male. The look of disgust and resentment from his sibling stirred several emotions within him; even some he thought were long gone and buried. He couldn't stand it, that look. It filled him with anger, hatred toward the man responsible for losing the only thing he ever owned, his life.

But those feelings would fade away, as he deep down knew he didn't own anything. Others, especially the powerful individuals, controlled him all the time. He was at their mercy during his entire life. It was frustrating and filled his whole being with rage. However, he couldn't do a single thing. He was weak, both physically and mentally.

His expression softened as he stared at the young replica of his father. He didn't know what to do. The emotions he learned to be useless and, in the way, broke free from the dark cage within him. It was all overwhelming, and he couldn't bear all of it. He fell on his knees and tried to understand all of it, but it was simply too much. His cries rang across the green field until everything went black. And he finally opened his eyes.

"P-Please, stop! I can't anymore... Damn you, Kakarot!"

Not being able to cope with it anymore, he punched the ground three times. He hoped the pain would prevail and shift his thoughts away, but it didn't work. Things that transpired during his lifetime and the clash with his only living family got stuck inside his head. He wanted them to go away, disappear for ever since he couldn't do a thing to his younger brother anymore. But those memories were purposely there, toying with him and causing to relive the moment of his demise.

He gritted his teeth as he harshly squeezed his hair. Sadness and regret began to consume him. He hated it and tried his best to lock those unnecessary feelings back into the furthest corner of his being. However, he couldn't do it. The thorned chains broke after spending years locked all by himself in this little cage. He wasn't in control at all, and that drove him mad.

Tears poured down his rough cheeks as he couldn't cope with it anymore. Frustration, anger, hatred, sadness, and regret build too much and caused him to crack. Not being able to bear any of it anymore, he lifted his head and released a heaven shattering scream. His painful voice rang across the desolate wasteland as the light from the crimson sky completely disappeared. As the darkness began to consume the isolated area, his voice slowly faded away as his mind, for the first time in ages, finally collapsed.

A blue light caused his eyes to twitch. He grunted annoyingly at the weird light and tried to take this time to rest after what happened. After that episode, he was tired and wanted to sleep while he had a chance. However, that weird, little spark of light wouldn't go away. Irritated by it, he finally opened his eyes and got up. While he rubbed his weary eyes, he wondered if it was just his mind playing tricks, but it didn't seem like that.

After he pushed himself off the bed, he approached the steel bars separating him from freedom. It was strange. He never saw such light in this hellish place. For whatever reason, he felt the warmth from it, a new sensation to him. He chuckled at himself for acting like some brat. Then again, this was the only exciting thing he saw in decades.

He leaned against the cold bars and just stared at the little ball of light. "Just what's this thing? Maybe some fool's soul got lost in this Hell." His comment and snicker caused the illuminating ball to swirl around the cage.

The imprisoned man scoffed and closed his eyes. He had enough of the weird thing and turned around. As he scratched the back of his head, a shriek came from behind. Before he could turn and see what was going on, the light clashed against the invisible force field around the cage. The shockwave sent the male crash into the wall and fell.

He released a soft moan as he quickly opened his eyes to see what happened. "What's going on!?" The warrior lifted his arms to protect himself from the strong wind. He couldn't understand a single thing. Out of nowhere, this strange spark of light suddenly attacked and tried to penetrate the cage. For what reason, he didn't know, but it wasn't anything good; at least he thought that.

Suddenly, his eyes widened when he realized the force field began to crumble. The cracks spread all over the barrier, and before he could curse out loud, the blue sphere pierced through and struck him right where the hole in his armor was.

The moment the spark touched and slid inside of him, his entire body burned with scorching flames. He never experienced such pain. It took only three seconds for him to drop on the ground and cry. He trembled like never before. The excruciating pain even prevented him from breathing properly. Cold sweat dripped from the tip of his nose as he thrashed around. His agonizing screams echoed as his muscles tensed. A faint glow began to flicker around him. He wasn't even aware of it, but a dark shade of purple light started to form itself around his frame.

With clenched hands, he gritted his teeth and tried to overcome this madness. The irises slowly began to be consumed by a crimson color while his dark orbs quivered from so much pain. The fur on his tail spiked as the thing wildly moved around. Blood leaked out of his mouth as he bit himself in the process. He was at another breaking point, and he didn't even know why this time. While he wrestled with this ordeal, he was sure that despicable red ogre caused this.

Abruptly, the pain and the glow faded. His eyes immediately shut down as he fell on the floor. For a moment, he managed to open his eyes just barely as he heard something, a faint voice.

"Soon, you'll be freed from this Hell. Just wait a little longer, my new ally, and I'll give you the opportunity for your long waited revenge."

It was a feminine voice, or at least he thought so. While his entire view was foggy, he could have sworn he saw a person standing in front of the cage, a very slender figure to be exact. The stranger, for whatever reason, kneeled for a moment and seemingly left something on the floor. He couldn't do anything or see what it was as he allowed his consciousness to drift into the darkness for the time being.

The light shined upon the sleeping warrior. Slowly, he opened his eyes and wondered what happened. It took a mere minute for him to remember the strange event that occurred. Almost instantly, he jumped on his feet and inspected his entire body. It didn't seem like anything bad happened, but he wasn't sure, which made him a bit nervous. As he stared into his own hands, he caught a glimpse of something on the floor.

He crouched and picked up a weird-looking fruit. "Just what in Hell's this? Better yet, how it got here?" His eyes remained on the spiky fruit as he thought about that for a second. He questioned the appearance of the fruit until the memory of the event flashed before him.

"Of course! There was somebody here! Whoever it was, must've left this thing here!"

So, he wasn't completely crazy. However, what made him curious was that stranger. Who and from where did it came, and what did it want from him. A drop of sweat slid down his jawline, an uneasy feeling swelling inside of him.

He rose from the ground and gazed at the bars. All of them were destroyed and scattered across the floor. With the steel bars broken, he wanted to try and leave this small cell. Slowly, step by step, he approached the exit. If his scrambled memories were right, then that light should have broken even the barrier. It was a gamble, but he wanted to be free at all costs. He didn't even care for the pain he would receive if the force field were still up. The warrior closed his eyes and, with a shout, rushed toward his freedom.

There was no pain whatsoever. He immediately halted and opened his tightly closed eyes. His long hair swayed around as he turned in the opposite direction. He was finally, after who knows how long outside the cage. After the initial shock faded, he began to laugh. His laughter echoed through the desolate valley. He couldn't believe it, but it was true.

Tears of joy blew off his eyes as he suddenly blasted into the crimson sky. "Yes, yes, yes! I'm finally out of that filthy cage!" He couldn't stop laughing. The warrior swirled in the air as he gained and lowered the altitude.

As he continued to fly, he only now realized how vast this place was. There was no one in here, not a single being. Suddenly, he spun in the air and decided to land on top of a cliff. The moment he touched the ground, he went silent. Being free was great, but now he had another problem on his mind, again. What was he supposed to do now? How can a person escape from Hell? Just thinking that made him stressed.

However, as he glanced at the fruit in his right hand, he vaguely remembered what the stranger said to him. "Tch! I don't get it! Who was that? I'm sure it wasn't one of those stupid ogres... Maybe an outsider?" If so, then there was a way to get in and out of Hell. But the critical question was if someone like him could.

His head started to hurt because of too much thinking. "Bah! I'll figure it out later. For now, I shall enjoy this freedom gifted to me and this strange fruit." Even though he wasn't hungry, it made him curious to see if he will feel anything if he eats something.

Like some savage animal, he bit half of the fruit. He ate the whole thing in just two bites. "Humph, bland." He wasn't satisfied with it. Disappointed with it, he spat on the ground before taking off to explore the entirety of Hell.

Her golden earrings swung from her pointy ears with each step that she made. The light shined upon a slender yet curvy woman as she made her way through the castle. A faint, but visible arrogant smirk never disappeared from her silk face while she carried a brown spear with sharp golden points on every end. As she finally reached and entered the room, her purple eyes drifted to the man in the corner of the room who immediately approached her.

Before she could address his name, the white-haired man spoke first. "This is a waste of time. There's no need for such a pathetic weakling." She simply raised an eyebrow as the tall and muscular creation of hers told what was on his mind.

"Yes, at this moment, he's a weakling. However, I reckon he'll evolve into a splendid specimen, given proper time and care."

She could not contain herself from chuckling. Unlike her, the man wearing a white battle armor didn't seem amused. "Um, by proper care, you mean manipulation, right mistress?" The new voice belonged to a blue-skinned woman with aqua colored hair.

The look in her eyes was more than enough to answer that question. "Unlike previous specimens, I've got a feeling this one will prove to be the right one. I can't wait to start the new experiment!" Just the thought of that caused her hand to tremble with excitement.

"The effects of the fruit should start around now. We're leaving for Hell this very instant, Mira."

Despite being against it, the bio-android nodded. As he got closer, the warrior crossed his muscular arms and looked to the other side while his creator made a portal out of thin air.

Something wasn't right. Hell was spinning for some reason. He shook his head, tried to calm down but nothing. For some reason, he felt fragile and lightheaded. Whatever was going on with him wasn't anything good. Despite being a blood-thirsty and prideful warrior, the feeling of the unknown scared him. Sweat rolled down his face as he stopped mid-air. He needed to land and fast before he dropped down eventually.

The moment he touched the ground, he felt like his legs were going to give up. Somehow he pushed himself forward. He staggered for a while as he held his head. Just walking took too much energy out of him. The long-haired warrior leaned against the wall and tried to catch a breath.

"I-I can't breathe... W-What's happening to me?"

Perhaps he shouldn't have escaped from the cage. This weird situation might be a result of him getting out of there. He wasn't sure about it, but then again, what did he know of Hell and the dead? On the other hand, maybe it was that blasted fruit's fault? He knew it was a risk to eat it, but at the time, he was so overwhelmed with his freedom that he stopped reasoning.

Unable to sustain himself any longer, he fell on the ground. His torso slowly continued to fall to the side when a strange thing appeared out of thin air. He stared at the morphing light long enough to see two people emerge from it. His battle instincts kicked it, but because of what was happening to his body, there was no way he could fight and defend himself from the enemy.

Desperately trying to protect himself, the warrior snarled at the approaching strangers. "Now, now, there's no need to be afraid. I'm here to help you. Don't you remember me, Raditz?" His eyes widened at the realization. It was the same voice from before. This was the person who let him free and left the fruit inside the cage. He wanted to take a better look at this person, but he couldn't. His eyes rolled back, and the Saiyan went to sleep.

"How's he doing? Any updates?"

Upon hearing her mistress voice, the wizard immediately shifted her attention from the healing machine. "Yes, my lady. Despite having some issues, it looks like he's recovering quite nicely... Considering you just snatched him out of Hell." At first, she doubted such a weakling could survive the whole process. However, she liked to be pleasantly surprised.

While her fellow demon watched over her new specimen, she approached the tube and gently placed a hand on it. "Humph, it was necessary to mask his energy. I don't want anyone, especially those Supreme Kai's to find out there's a Saiyan missing from Hell." She could feel that his ki was slowly stabilizing. However, it was so pitiful even compared to their weakest soldiers.

"By the way, you can go and search for the Dark Dragon Balls. I don't want him to wait for too long. Understood, Putine?"

The green-haired witch nodded and, with a grin, bowed to the mistress before leaving on her mission. Now that she was all by herself, she turned her full attention to the long-haired Saiyan floating inside the tube.

Her smile remained as she turned around and moved to the other side of her laboratory. With a simple hand swing, a dark mask materialized on the desk. She took hold of the mask and turned around, as the senses warned her of danger.

Much to her surprise, the Saiyan's eyes were wide open. The warrior had a frantic look installed in them. Before she could do anything, the revived man tore the oxygen mask from its face and destroyed the glass. The green liquid splashed all over the floor while the Saiyan dropped on his knees. He glanced around, confused, and driven by instincts until he saw her. Without even knowing who he was against, the warrior attacked the demon.

His pointless attack failed the exact moment he made only two steps. She materialized in front of him and landed a strike to the face with the staff. Naturally, the Saiyan warrior crashed into the wall and remained pinned in it. She released a sigh and pointed her staff at the confused warrior.

"Calm down at once! All will be explained to you in do time. For now, all you need to know that I am not your enemy, but an ally who freed you from Hell."

It took him some time to make some sense of it. Slowly, everything was coming together. That sparkling blue light, the fruit, and the sudden moment of losing his energy were all her doing. He didn't know whatever to kill her or what. But it looked like he was out of Hell thanks to this woman.

With a heavy grunt, he freed himself from the wall and glared in her direction. "I see, so it's you. Well, you have my gratitude for getting me out of Hell. But for what reason? You say you're my ally, and yet you don't offer any further explanation, woman?" He approached her without any fear. Despite being flung into the wall just five seconds prior, he didn't acknowledge she was the strongest person in the room.

She simply rolled with her eyes at his poor attempt to scare her. "Humph, in your current state, I doubt your fragile mind could withstand the events that went by while you stayed in that little cage. So, before I tell anything to you, you'll need to heal properly." Her dismissive tone toward him didn't do any good.

A throbbing vein surfaced on his forehead. "I'll rip your heart out, woman, if you don't explain everything!" He grabbed her tiny arm and squeezed with all his might. However, there wasn't even a hint of pain on her pale face.

A wicked grin appeared on her smooth face. "Fine, have it your way. I'll show you everything, don't regret it later." The confused expression on his face was precious. Before he could register, she swirled her staff and gently touched the Saiyan's head, sending him several visions.

Loud explosions forced him to open his eyes. The strong sunlight blinded him for a moment, but he shook it off pretty fast when he heard a familiar voice. He instantly turned around and saw him, Kakarot standing right in front of Nappa and Vegeta like they were nothing. So, she planned to make him watch his younger brother's downfall? Good, he would enjoy it immensely. However, something didn't seem right. For whatever reason, Nappa was shaking like a leaf on the wind, and Vegeta looked annoyed. The explanation came shortly after, as the fight between Nappa and Kakarot dragged on. He couldn't believe it, but his low-class brother defeated Nappa, an elite Saiyan.

While he stared shockingly at Kakarot's stern expression, the scenery changed. It was Vegeta's and his brother's battle. Of course, the arrogant prince had the upper hand as it should have been. The fight with Nappa must have been a fluke, lucky shot, or at least he thought of that until Kakarot brought up a Kaio-Ken technique and started dominating the Super Elite. His dark orbs trembled as Kakarot, with the help of his hybrid son and earthling, fought Vegeta in his Oozaru form and eventually defeated the prince.

He couldn't speak. It made no sense what was going on. This was surely a mind trick orchestrated by that woman. However, a part of him knew this was real, especially when his idiotic brother allowed Vegeta to flee. He closed his fists so tight and gritted his teeth because he wanted to scream.

Before he was able to yell out, he got transported to a weird place. It was a green world. He wondered what he was going to see next when Freeza appeared. Naturally, the fear of the emperor caused him to sweat nervously. However, he stared in bewilderment as Vegeta fought Freeza. As the battle went on and Freeza showcased each transformation, he didn't know what to think anymore. Vegeta finally got killed, but his younger brother was there. Kakarot fought hard, and with such determination that it made him jealous.

However, the real shock that shook his entire existence was when his brother, the one who rejected any ties to the Saiyans and himself, attained the legendary form, Super Saiyan. He was only able to drop on his knees and watch in complete defeat and misery as Kakarot beat Freeza, escaped the planet's destruction, and moved on with life. Of course, the visions continued, and he saw everything that his younger brother and Vegeta went through until all went dark.

The moment he reopened his eyes, the expression on his face drastically changed. He turned away and strolled to the far end of the room. It was too much, and he didn't know what to make of it. He didn't even know what to feel or if he should. The warrior just leaned against the wall and slid down. While he sat on the floor, he blankly stared at the ceiling and just thought of everything that occurred ever since he died.
