Welcome! This is a rewrite story of my old story called Blazing Blue. I kinda fell behind on updating so I made an executive decision to redo all chapters and make them longer!

Chapter 1

Rin was confused. He had been minding his own business, hanging out in his dorm room, when he received a phone call from Yukio. His brother told him to meet him in the office of none other than Mephistopheles. He was unsure of why he would be asked to do such a thing on a Saturday of all days. He was currently standing outside of Mephisto's debating this in his mind before knocking. As he moved his fist towards the door, it opened, and there stood both Yukio and the clown.

"Rin! Come in and have a seat." Yukio said, sounding surprised at first, then much grimmer. This only added to Rin's confusion. Why did Yukio sound like this was this serious? Was this serious? He hoped that it wasn't, he didn't know if he could handle more seriousness after the way his classmates had been treating him after his true identity was revealed just a week ago.

"What's going on? Did I do something wrong?" Rin asked with a quizzical expression plastered on his face. He was taken back to his confusion at the next words that Yukio spoke.

"What? Rin, no. You aren't in trouble. Currently. This isn't about something you did, more as it is about something you are going to have to do. Which isn't your fault, but we have to take the correct precautions to ensure everyone can come to terms with who you are in a safer and more controlled environment." Yukio told him, at which Mephisto decided that it was his turn to add his two cents.

"What young Yukio is trying to say, Rin, is that all of us higher ups have had a meet up and come to a universal decision. We believe it will be safer for everyone, including you, if we…. Transfer you the rest of this year." Mephisto explained, trying to sound sympathetic. But the entire time he spoke, he was wearing his mischievous grin.

"What?! You can't be serious?! Transferring me where?! Why?!" Rin demanded to know. He didn't understand what was happening.

"Oh yes, young one, we are very serious. The Paladin and all of us under him but higher than your average exorcist, you see, had a meeting about this just a couple days ago. It was unanimously decided that everyone, all your classmates included, would need to process your ancestry without having the constant reminder of just what has them so shaken up. As for where, I have a good friend that is the director of a high school made specifically for… outcasts such as yourself. You will find that you fit in much easier here than anywhere else." Mephisto continued. All the while, Yukio continued to look grim, and Rin continued to grow anxious and angry.

"I am so sorry Rin, but- "Yukio tried to start, but he was quickly interrupted by his fuming brother.

"Sorry? You're sorry?! Yeah, sure. Okay. Let's pretend that you aren't happy that you won't have such a burden on your shoulders anymore!" Rin said, causing Yukio's gaze to harden into something much more unreadable.

"Why don't you just shut up and let me finish!" Yukio yelled, causing Rin's ferociously wagging tail to stop in its tracks. "You need to listen to us and let us explain before you start going off! Do you really think that I wanted this? Because I didn't. But I have no choice in this."

"Why don't we move on to explain exactly how this is going to happen, hmm?" Mephisto inquired. He was obviously sick of listening to the brothers screaming back and forth. "Classes for this high school don't start until next Monday. Therefore, you will want to begin packing this week. Now it's a bit of a drive from here to there, so the bus will be here to get you Sunday afternoon, and you won't arrive until Monday morning. You will be receiving a new uniform I within the next few days, and you will be required to wear it every day from the day you step on the bus until the day classes end. We will be sending you one letter every month to keep you updated on the progress coming from this side. You will not be considered an Exwire while you are away. This will cause you to fall behind so in our letters we will also include all of the information and assignments given to your class while you are gone. You will be expected to study it carefully."

"Fine. So, I leave in a week? This mean I don't have to attend classes this week?" Mephisto nodded, still with a smirk adorning his face. "Cool. I guess I'll just go start packing then. Good talk." Rin started to stand up out of his chair and began making his way towards the door. Yukio reached out his arm and grabbed Rin's elbow.

"Rin, I-" Yukio started, with a look on his face that could only be described as pained.

"Don't Yukio. Leave me alone. I don't wanna see your face the rest of the time I'm here. Just leave me alone and we'll be square." Rin said, obviously angry with his twin. Yukio's face showed regret, but he removed his hand with a quiet "alright" and watched as Rin left the room.

"You know I hated this idea, why did you make me come?" Yukio asked, obviously not very enthused at having to be the bearer of bad news to his brother.

"Because I thought it would be fun!" Was Mephisto's response. The entire time he kept his grin on his face, and Yukio knew that he would never be able to forgive Mephisto for putting this strain on his and Rin's relationship. "Besides, you know it was the right decision for the time being. His classmates are terrified of him, and they will never be able to come to terms with this while he is sitting there, reminding them of all the terrible things he could and possibly will do."

"I know that it was the smart idea, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it. He's my brother, and now he thinks that I want him gone." Yukio said, with obvious hurt in his voice, but his expression was as hard as stone.

Mephisto's only response was to turn his smirk to a full-blown grin.

Rin didn't know what to think anymore. He was sure that now that his friends knew, they would be willing to listen to him and hear him out. He was becoming an exorcist for Christ sake! Shouldn't that be enough to show them that he was nothing like his biological father? Apparently not. They couldn't even stand to see his face anymore. But that shouldn't surprise him, even his own brother hated him. He closed his eyes in pain as the words reverberated through his head. "Just Die."

Rin knew that he couldn't fight it anymore. So, after he finally finished setting down his things in the farthest room from Yukio's that he could have possibly found, he laid down on the bed and let the thoughts and feelings overwhelm him. Kuro sat in the doorway and watched as his friend curled in a ball and cried. He walked up to the bed and laid his head on Rin's, and after about an hour of laying this way, they both fell asleep.

Yukio came back to a seemingly empty dorm that night. As he made his way around, he couldn't find sign of Rin anywhere, so he decided to check their shared room. What he came upon made him stop and think again about what it was that he had done to his brother just five hours earlier.

He walked into the empty room and stared at the places that Rin's things normally sat and decided that this was a now or never issue and he needed to fix it. If he couldn't then he knew Rin would never trust him again, and that was not something that he wished to happen. So, he walked out of the room and did his best to find his brother. He checked every room that he came across but was still unable to find Rin. When he finally came upon the last room, the one on the complete opposite side of the building and all the way on the top floor, his heart broke at the sight he saw.

Rin was laying on the bed with his legs curled to his chest and his arms wrapped tightly around them. Kuro was lying beside him, his back resting against the back of Rin's head. They were both sleeping soundly. But that wasn't what had caused Yukio's heart to drop.

No, what did that was Rin's face. The one that was twisted in pain, with red and puffy eyes and tear-stained cheeks. Yukio wasn't sure what he could do to help Rin, maybe the best thing would be to leave him alone. He never was good at being an emotional support for anyone the way that Rin was. All he knew was that he felt terrible for causing Rin to feel such inner turmoil. With that, he shut the door with a heavy heart, and he told himself that Rin needed time and space. He made the decision to let it be as it was. If only for a while…

One Week Later

Rin didn't know what he had expected. Maybe a goodbye, at least from Yukio. But no. As he started moving his bags onto the bus that had pulled up a couple minutes before, he realized that no one was coming to see him off. Yukio hadn't talked to him since that day in Mephisto's office, and all that did was cause him to become set in his belief that his brother didn't care for him anymore, and probably hadn't since the day he pulled that damned sword from that damned sheath for the first time.

He deserved this. It was his fault that their father was dead, his fault that he was a monster, and his fault that he had to leave everyone and everything he had ever cared about because they just couldn't accept that he was the son of Satan. Deep down, he just wanted people to care about him. To want him to be near them. Even his own brother couldn't give him this, so why would he be able to get it from anyone?

"Come on Okumura, get ahold of yourself." Rin said quietly as he made his way to the seat at the way back of the bus. It was surprisingly empty. He quickly realized that this ride would be a long and boring one. He leaned his head against the window and let himself drift into the land of dreams.

Rin woke up to the bus stopping. He was disoriented and unsure of where he was or what the time was. He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled his phone out, clicking the power button to gaze at the time before putting it back. He then realized that he actually hadn't checked the time, just gazed at his phone screen before coming to the silent agreement in his head that he was done with his task. He pulled his phone out of his pocket again and made sure he looked at the time. 8:26 a.m. Weird. He was sure that the bus hadn't arrived until 1:15 p.m. That was when he took note of the date. It was no longer Sunday, but Monday. Wow. He had slept 90% of the bus ride.

This was the moment that he looked up and noticed a completely average boy getting onto the bus. He had brown hair, brown eyes, no noticeable features, and a completely unnoteworthy body. But what he saw that was noteworthy was that this boy was wearing the exact same uniform that he had been forced to wear. Although, Rin's uniform was crumpled and had a little bit of drool on it. Guess he slept really well.

It was at this moment that the boy made eye contact with Rin, who had been staring at him uninterestedly. He smiled and gave a small, polite wave which Rin returned. The average boy sat down in the seat across the hall from Rin's and looked at him.

"Hi! I'm Tsukune Aono. What's your name?" Tsukune asked Rin as he grabbed the back of his neck in a nervous manner. Rin couldn't help but look at him in wonder.

"Um… Rin. Okumura. Nice to meet you…. Tsukune, was it? Are you heading to Yokai Academy?" Rin asked, to which Tsukune beamed at him.

"Uh huh, what about you?" Rin nodded and smiled. "Oh, that's awesome! I didn't think I'd meet anybody at all! What year are you?" Tsukune seemed like he was really excited to have met someone heading to the same place that he was.

"Oh, um. It's my first year. Say, isn't it kinda weird they're starting later than other academies? I thought most places were already halfway through the year?" Rin asked. He was starting to wonder how Mephisto was able to get him to start his year all the way from the beginning when it was already so late in the year.

"Uhh… what? I'm not sure what you're talking about, Rin. All academies are just starting." Tsukune said, clearly confused at Rin's confusion.

"Huh? But isn't it, like, November?" Rin asked, to which Tsukune gave him a look mixed between concern and confusion.

"Um… Rin? It's the middle of August. Are you okay?" Tsukune said, seeming as though he was trying to be understanding of Rin's situation.

"What?! What do you mean it's August?!" Rin asked, and frantically pulled his phone out. And sure enough, it said 2:43 Saturday, August 15th. "Holy hell. I didn't sleep that long, did I?"

"No, kid, of course you didn't. Did Mephisto not explain this to you? Where you come from, let's just say, it's a completely different time zone." The voice that spoke caused Tsukune to jump and Rin to scowl.

"Uh… why does he sound so… creepy?" Tsukune asked, turning to Rin to see if he had any suggestions. He had been on the bus when Tsukune had gotten on, so maybe he knew something? But what he saw when he looked at Rin confused Tsukune to no end.

Rin was mumbling words under his breath, something along the lines of "damn clown" and "fucking dimensions" which did nothing but Tsukune question Rin's sanity. But before he could ponder it any longer, they were driving through a tunnel and it seemed to be glowing!

"What in the-" Rin said, obviously confused as to why he was in the midst of a light show. He looked around and that was he realized what was happening. It must have been similar to what happened when he was brought to what appeared to be the past, or long ago when he met Shiemi.

Thinking of her made his shoulders droop. He had really thought that she would at least try to accept him. But no, just like the rest, she, too, needed him to disappear for who knows how long. It was really disheartening knowing that the first actual friend he had made at True Cross – or ever, really – wasn't willing to hear him out, and accept him for who he is.

Tsukune, on the other hand, was gawking at the windows. He was absolutely astounded that something like this was happening. Then, before he could blink, the glowing was over, and they came out of the tunnel. When Tsukune looked at his surroundings, he rubbed his eyes to ensure that his mind wasn't playing tricks on him. The world on this side of the tunnel looked completely opposite of the one on the other! He gazed at the blood red ocean, the dead, twisted trees, and the scarecrow next to a sign that read "Welcome to Yokai Academy" with complete and udder awe and horror.

"Be careful, kids. Yokai Academy can be a verrrrry scarrrry place." Said the bus driver once Rin and Tsukune began to make their way off the bus. Tsukune seemed as though he would drop dead from fear any minute, and Rin just gave him a quizzical look. He knew, of course, that if this place was in another dimension, and if Mephisto of all people was the one who sent him here, then something about it must be just downright terrifying. However, he didn't understand this weird, creepy old man's need to scare everyone around him, and it kind of pissed him off.

"Alright sure, old man. We'll take that into consideration." Rin said with an annoyed tone. With that, the door closed, and the bus pulled away, leaving Rin and Tsukune alone. "Hey man, you okay?" Rin asked, laying a hand on the visibly anxious Tsukune.

Tsukune, in return jumped at the sudden touch and jerked his shoulder away from Rin. "Huh!? Oh, Rin. It's just you. Um. Yeah, I think I'm okay. It's just kinda… creepy. In these woods. You know. Heh." Tsukune said, his voice slightly quavering. Rin gave him a questioning look but deciding against asking questions. "We should, uh, probably head to the school don't you think?" Tsukune asked while looking around him with many nervous glances.

Rin looked at Tsukune and gave him a soft smile, deciding to be as friendly as possible so as to not frighten the already seemingly terrified boy. He slung the Kurikara sword over his back and grabbed his duffle bag and began walking down the pathway that led to the school. Tsukune followed timidly, glad that he was not alone in these woods. Even so, it was only a few minutes into the walk when he began to hear the sound of rustling coming from not far behind them and immediately freaked out.

"Do you hear that!? I think someone's following us!" He whisper screamed, attempting to keep the stalkers from being able to hear him speak. Rin looked at him and furrowed his eyebrows. Of course, he could hear the bushes moving behind them, but he wasn't sure if it was anything to worry about. It didn't sound aggressive at all, just like something was moving at a leisurely pace a hundred feet or so behind them.

"Tsukune, don't you think if we were being followed, the ones doing the following would be trying to be sneakier about it? I mean, think about it. Who would follow us? We're two teenage boys carrying nothing of value. I don't know about you, but the only thing I brought with were clothes and my cell phone." Rin said, trying to sound reasonable. Tsukune seemed to grow calmer with every word that Rin spoke, until he was finally calm enough to think clearly.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm not really carrying anything either. Besides, it's probably a rabbit or something. There probably isn't even another soul out here!" Tsukune said. But, what neither of them noticed, being too absorbed in their conversation, was the rustling getting faster and closer. As soon as Tsukune finished talking, he was rammed into and fell to the ground.

Rin's only response was to blink in confusion. It took him a moment to process that Tsukune was no longer standing in front of him but lying on the ground. But that wasn't all. No, it wasn't just Tsukune, but a pink haired teenage girl wearing the same green uniform that adorned both boys as well. As soon as the happened, Rin began cackling.

"Oh my God! Y-you sh-should've seen your FACE" he hollered. "It was absolutely priceless!"

"Ow…" the girl said, sitting up. "Oh no! Are you okay? I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there!" she screamed, absolutely mortified. "I can't believe that I ran you over like that! I was trying to hurry, I thought we were going to be late!"

"O-oh. No, it's okay. I'm okay." Tsukune said as he rubbed the back of his head with his eyes squeezed shut. When he finally opened them, he noticed just how beautiful this girl was. Then he noticed that she was straddling him, and promptly turned bright red. He was glad, though, that the blood was rushing to his face, and not to somewhere else.

"Okay good! I'm glad. My names Omote! What's yours?" The newly named Omote asked, with an innocent look in her eyes.

"Tsukune. It's nice to meet you, Omote." As he was speaking, he noticed Omote's eyes searching his face, then quickly glaze over as she stared at something on his cheek. "Um, Omote? Are you o-" he started, but immediately stopped as she leaned close to him, with a look of pure bliss and enjoyment covered her features. It was then that any hope he had of her kissing him were crushed as she licked his cheek, and all he could feel was shock. "Did you just-" he began but was quickly cut off.

"I'm so sorry! There was blood on your cheek and I-"

"Omote!" At the sound of a new voice, Rin stopped his giggling and stared coolly towards the newcomer. A girl with very similar facial features to Omote walked through the bushes, glancing at Rin with her blood red eyes before landing them on Omote, who was still straddling Tsukune. "What are you doing? Stop fooling around, we need to get moving!"

"Ura! I almost forgot! This is Tsukune, and that's… uh… I'm sorry, what was your name?" Omote said, looking at Rin expectantly.

Rin's cold gaze turned into a cheerful smile almost immediately. "I'm Rin! It's a pleasure to meet you lovely ladies. Say, you two look very similar, aside from the hair- I like the silver, by the way- and the eyes. Any relation between you two?" Rin asked, trying to be friendly.

"Oh yeah! This is Ura, she's my twin sister!" Omote answered happily. "As I was saying, Tsukune, I'm sorry about licking your cheek. It's just, there was blood on it, and I couldn't help myself. I'm a vampire!" Omote said apologetically.

"Vampire?" Rin questioned, looking confused and amazed at the same time. "Like, a real-life vampire? That's so cool!"

"Really? Does that mean that you don't hate vampires?" Omote asked, causing Ura who had been glaring at Rin the entire time, to look towards her sister with soft eyes.

" Can't say that I do. What about you, Tsukune?" Rin answered, then quickly turned the question over to Tsukune, who looked like he was about to have a heart attack with Omote still sitting in his lap.

"Uhh…. Well I've never met a vampire, so I don't think I do." He responded, after taking his time to process what had been asked. Omote beamed.

"That's amazing! Do you think we could be friends then? All four of us! That would be amazing!" Omote squealed, and Ura's look of love turned to annoyance at the mention of becoming friends with the two males.

"Of course we can! I'd love to be friends with two lovely ladies such as yourselves." Rin answered, smiling, trying to make a good impression. Omote giggled, but Ura's reaction was completely different.

"Speak for yourselves. I will tolerate you for the sake of my sister, but I will not be your 'friend.'" At this, Omote looked at her sister in a way that said she was disappointed, yet relieved. It was better than her outright saying that she wouldn't even acquaint herself with them to keep her 'Vampire Pride.'

"Now that that's settled, we should head to the school. Don't want to be late on the first day!" Rin said, which caused Omote to finally get off of Tsukune, allowing him to function once again.

When they finally reached the school, it was almost impossible for the four of them to stay together as the crowd was so huge, and Rin quickly lost sight of his new friends. He did know that they were still in the room, however, because he could very lightly make out their scents. When he first discovered he could do this, it had been shortly after he had gained his powers. It had made all of his senses about 100 times stronger than they had already been. It had been overwhelming at first but was now something that he had become accustomed to.

Speaking of strong smells, the person who sat next to him smelled awful. Almost like a human swamp. It was so distracting that he barely heard any of the words said by the chairman after he stood on stage. The only information that Rin was able to obtain throughout the whole speech was that this dude was a whole different stage of creepy with his white cloak and the aura of power that surrounded him. He was almost positive that this was the guy Mephisto had mentioned the week prior. When the speech was over, he got up and attempted to find his classroom.

Tsukune looked around his homeroom as his teacher, Ms. Nekonome, began talking about the schoolyear. He was glad, Omote and Ura were both in the same class as him. However, he couldn't seem to find Rin, so he gave up the hope he had been holding that they would all be in the same classroom. At least he had Omote. Ura seemed terrifying and had made it very clear that she hadn't been kidding on the walk over. She had ignored everyone but her sister, and the only time she had spoken to either of them was when she would tell Rin to shut up because he was annoying her.

It was in this moment that there was a knock on the door, and Ms. Nekonome jumped. "Come in!" she said, and the door opened. Rin walked in with a sheepish grin, and Tsukune felt relief wash over him. He was in a class with all of his friends! What did catch him off guard, however, was all the noise that the room made. All the girls squealed, and some voiced their opinions about how hot they all thought he was.

"So dreamy!"

"Look at his eyes!"

"Oh. My. God."

"Students please!" Ms. Nekonome shouted, and the classroom quieted down immediately.

"I'm sorry, ma'am. I got lost and couldn't find the classroom." Rin said, and Ms. Nekonome sighed.

"Just take a seat, please." She said, pointing to the only open seat, which was directly in front of Omote. Rin smiled when he saw her, then Ura in the next desk, and Tsukune in the last one. By the time he saw all three of them, he was grinning like a madman. He waved, and then he took his seat. "Now, as I was saying, this school is specific for monsters! Although I'm sure you all know this." It was at this moment that Tsukune tuned out the rest of what she was saying and started panicking.

Rin, however, was listening intently to what the lecture was about. It appealed to him that everyone in this school would understand what it was like to be different. Plus, he had no reason to question the existence of monsters, he was the son of Satan himself for Christ sake! Although, he wasn't sure that any of the students or staff here were anything like him. Maybe the director, he gave off the right kind of vibe.

Then, when he heard Ms. Nekonome talk about how humans are forbidden from schoolgrounds, he became confused. He was positive Tsukune was human, his scent gave it away. If that were true, how would he have managed to make his way here? He wondered if the director was anything like Mephisto. He knew that if he was, it was probably some ploy of his. That would make sense, he thought. And if it were true, then he knew that Tsukune probably wouldn't be allowed to leave. He vowed to himself then to always ensure his friends protection.

He felt his shoulders tense and his tail bristle when the student next to him said "Why don't we just take the world back? Eat all of the male humans and rape the females? We're stronger than they are, even the weakest of us!" Rin wanted to say something, was going to when Ms. Nekonome beat him to the punch.

"Because, Mr. Saizou Komiya, is it? The humans have vast military power and would be able to wipe us out almost immediately! The point of this school is to learn how to blend in and get along with humans, and I will not have anymore talk of eating and raping them in this classroom, understand?" she said, and the boy next to him grumbled and crossed his arms. Rin was glad that the teacher said that. However, he was pissed at Saizou. After that conversation, all he knew was this: If Saizou came near his friends, he would end him on the spot.

It was after homeroom, and nobody had anywhere to be. Students were allowed to roam for the rest of the day and get settled in before classes started on Tuesday. Rin was currently walking with his friends. Well, behind Omote and Tsukune, who was currently being drug around campus by the former. He was walking beside Ura, although she continued to be cold towards him and turn down his every attempt at conversation. He was hoping to wear her down and become her friend someday.

For now, though, he was happy that he could call at least two people his friends. He watched as Omote got tomato juice from a vending machine and sat down with Tsukune on a bench in contentment. And then immediately became irritated as he watched Saizou walk up to them and start going off about how such a beautiful girl should be with him instead of a loser like Tsukune. It was when Saizou reached out to grab Tsukune's shirt that Rin made his move.

Before anyone could blink, Rin was crushing the hand that had been seconds away from picking Tsukune up. He had a threatening look in his eye, one that said "touch him and I'll kill you." Which wasn't too far off from the words that came out of his mouth.

"Touch either of them and I'll end your miserable life." The tone he used was deathly calm but gave off a sense of fury in a way that Saizou had never felt in his life. "Leave. Now." Rin demanded. Saizou was unsure of the reason, but he felt a small tug from his entire being that told him to obey.

"Tch. Whatever, you're not worth it anyways, loser." Saizou said, sounding more nervous than he was trying to. With that, he walked away seething in his own anger. Damn it! Why did I do what that twat told me to?! They won't get away with this…

Rin watched in barely controlled anger as Saizou left, then turned around to ensure everyone was okay. Omote and Tsukune were talking quietly as he approached them.

"Are you guys okay? He didn't hurt you, did he?" Rin asked, and his two friends looked up at him.

"Yeah, I think so. But I want to go somewhere different, I'm not that comfortable here anymore." Omote said as Ura walked up behind her.

"He's lucky we let him leave. Thinking he can talk to members of the vampire race that way. Scum." Ura said, obviously upset with the way Saizou had treated Omote. With that, the group started walking towards a new location.

"That was pretty scary, don't you think Tsukune?" Omote said as they walked to the edge of the roof they had arrived at just moments ago.

"Uh… Yeah, I guess so." Tsukune responded. "We're lucky Rin stepped in, who knows what he would've tried if he hadn't been there." He said as he looked over at his male friend. Rin's only response was a smile.

"Please. Omote could've handled herself, she's a member of the Vampire Race." Ura said with an air that said she thought she was better than everyone.

"Oh no, Ura. Probably not. Not when I'm sealed, anyways." Was Omote's response. This gained her a quizzical look from Tsukune and an interested look from Rin.

"Sealed?" Rin asked. "As in your power?"

"Yeah! You see this Rosary around my neck? It seals my true powers away. When it's removed, I gain all of my powers and become really strong!" Omote said. "Ura has one, too."

"Oh wow, that's awesome!" Tsukune said, in slight awe. "How does it come off?"

"It doesn't." Was Ura's short and rude response. When Rin looked at her, however, he could see a look of pain in her eyes. "Father made it so that they wouldn't."

"It's okay, Ura. I'm sure they'll come off eventually. Father wouldn't have taken our abilities away from us forever." Omote said, trying to stay confident. She also had a look of pain, however, and it was easy to tell that she didn't believe what she was saying either. "Anyways!" she said, immediately changing her demeanor from one of sorrow to one of excitement. "What kind of monsters are you two?"

Rin immediately gave Omote a quizzical look. Did she not know that Tsukune was human? He practically reeked of it. Actually, how had no one noticed? He obviously lacked a certain scent that all other students and staff at the school possessed.

"Oh wait. We're not supposed to say, I forgot! It's one of the rules." Omote said with a sheepish look on her face. Tsukune, Rin noticed, seemed to visibly relax. Rin wondered if he knew that he knew he was human. He guessed that he probably didn't, considering how worried he had become at the question.

"Tsukune, can I talk to you?" Rin asked, deciding that it was time for them to have a conversation he had been debating all day.

"Um... yeah, sure." Tsukune responded, and the two boys began to walk away from the sisters, one of whom was confused and the other who looked as though she were done with the whole conversation and glad to be getting time away from the two she considered annoyances.

Tsukune was confused. He didn't understand why Rin wanted to talk to him, let alone why they needed to walk away from Omote and Ura to talk about. It was only when they were outside walking away from the building that the four of them had been standing on that he got his answer.

"I know you're human, Tsukune." Rin said, and paused so he could gauge Tsukune's reaction.

"W-what do you m-mean?" Tsukune asked, as he was startled into the revelation that Rin was aware of his secret.

"You smell human. It wasn't hard to put it together." Tsukune looked as though he were about to run away, so Rin quickly added, "Don't worry! I'm not gonna tell anyone! Actually, the truth is that I'm hoping you'll let me help you. You're my friend, Tsukune, I'm not gonna let anything happen to you. I swear." Tsukune gave him a skeptical look, but when he heard the sincerity in Rin's voice, he seemed as though he had calmed down.

"Okay… you promise you're not mad or anything? I mean, I'm not even sure how I managed to get here. I think I should probably just leave."

"Of course I'm not mad. I have nothing against humans. In fact, I was raised as a human up until about five or so months ago. I'm technically half human. My brother is human, and most of my friends are human. As for how you got here, I think I know. I feel like the chairman of the school might have had something to do with it. I'm not sure he'd be okay with you leaving just like that."

"I see… If I stay, do you think it'll be safe then?" Tsukune asked. He was obviously worried for his own safety.

"Of course. Like I said, I'll protect you the best I can." Rin responded, giving Tsukune a look that said he could be trusted.

"Okay, I believe you. I just hope nobody else finds out." Tsukune said.

"Actually, I think you should tell Omote. She seems to really like being around you, she deserves to know. Besides, she could help protect you too. I'm not sure about Ura, though. Maybe we should convince Omote before we try to convince her. She seems to do whatever it takes to make sure Omote is happy." Rin said, making Tsukune go deep into thought.

"Okay, yeah. I'll tell Omote. I just hope she still wants to be friends when she finds out."

"What's going on Tsukune? Why did you ask me to meet up without Ura?" Omote asked, confused as to why they were alone. When Tsukune had asked to meet, he had mentioned how he wanted to talk alone and that Rin had volunteered to keep Ura busy, so it was just the two of them. She blushed when she imagined him confessing liking her, then shook her head. The only way to find out what he wanted to talk about was to listen to him.

"I wanted to ask you, what do you think of humans?" Tsukune said, seemingly nervous. The question shocked Omote, and she wondered why he would ask a question such as this.

"Well… When Ura and I attended human schools, none of them were very nice to me. They made fun of me for calling myself a vampire, and they made me an outcast. Ura was never treated that way, though. They were all nice to her. Humans aren't my favorite, because of how they treated me." Omote said, explaining her answer.

"Oh. I'm not sure. I haven't met a human that wasn't, so why would I believe that they aren't?"

"What if I told you that you had?" Tsukune said, seeming unsure of himself. When Omote looked at him, perplexed, he sat up straighter and said "I'm human."

"What? Are you serious?" Omote asked, and when Tsukune nodded she grew quiet. They sat that way for about ten minutes before she spoke again. "You don't hate me? For being a vampire?"

"What? Of course not! I admire you, Omote. I could never hate you, even if you hate me for being human." Tsukune seemed appalled that she would even have this thought cross her mind.

"I don't hate you, Tsukune! You may be human, but you're nothing like the ones I met in school." They stared into each other's eyes, both with content smiles adorning their features.

Neither of them heard Saizou approach from behind.

"Leave me alone." Ura said. She was absolutely annoyed. Omote had left to do who knows what without any kind of explanation. What was even worse was that that annoying boy, Rin, had decided to attach himself to her, and not leave her alone no matter what she did.

"But Ura~" Rin said, causing Ura's eye to twitch. "I'm having so much fun~"

"If you're not going to leave me alone, then make yourself useful and tell me where my sister is." Ura demanded for what seemed like the hundredth time.

"What's the magic word~" Was Rin's singsongy response. He had been saying the same thing since she started asking.

"Alright, fine. Tell me where my sister is, please." Ura responded, annoyed that she had had to ask for anything from someone who was obviously a lower-class monster than her. There was absolutely no way Rin Okumura was stronger than a prestigious member of the vampire race such as herself.

Rin smiled; happy he was finally able to get Ura to do something other than demand him. "She's with Tsukune. He wanted to talk to her about something important."

"Ugh. That human? Why would she go with him?"

"Wait, you know he's a human? Why didn't you say anything?"

"Of course I know he's human. He reeks of that god-awful smell. I didn't say anything because Omote seems to enjoy spending time with him. If she is happy, then I will tolerate him. Now, let's go find them. Who knows what kind of trouble they've managed to get into." As Ura said she began walking towards the forest, leaving Rin to follow behind her.

They had only been walking about five minutes when Rin heard screaming, and it sounded like Omote. He immediately took off in the direction he heard it from, Ura following closely behind.

The sight they came across when they found the source of the screaming was almost enough to cause Rin's flames to emerge right then and there. Omote and Tsukune were both badly bruised, but Tsukune was in a considerably worse condition. He seemed as though he were close to unconsciousness. On the opposite side of the clearing they were in was none other than Saizou, and Rin's blood boiled.

Before he could take a step towards his injured friends, Tsukune's hand hooked onto the rosary that was around Omote's neck and there was a quiet 'tink.' Rin could feel the power wash over him, and Ura gasped.

"It came off." Omote whispered. She then landed her eyes on Saizou's grotesque form and her eyes hardened. "How dare you hurt Tsukune." Within the span of two seconds, Omote's leg was extended and Saizou was on the ground, unconscious.

Rin was impressed. He guessed that in these situations it was possible his flames wouldn't be needed at all. Perhaps he could keep his heritage a secret for the time being, it was technically against the rules to tell about your monster identity. It would give him the time he needed to recover from being rejected so heavily from his previous friends.

However, something told him that his new friends would be understanding and wouldn't make him leave out of fear when they did find out. He couldn't help but smile. Maybe this wouldn't be too terrible.

There we go. Pretty sure that's like, over twice as long as the chapters from blazing blue. Any who, hoped you all like it. Some things are going to change, like Tsukune and Rin's friendship will be more defined, and Ura and Rin won't start out ogling over each other, and maybe they never will. I'm not sure yet. Guess you'll have to read to find out! Thanks for reading! Laters!
