"Please, take a seat Mo-Ri," Ozpin says while gesturing to a small wooden table located at the side of his office. Resting atop the surface is a small steaming pot of tea with two cups waiting for them.

Mo-Ri tilts his head, then shrugs before taking a seat.

Ozpin reaches over the table and serves some tea into Mo-Ri's cup before pouring a cup for himself. The headmaster takes a small sip and sighs in satisfaction.

"How is your experience in Beacon and Vale so far? I'm assuming that the residents and the recent festivities are to your liking?" He casually asks.

Mo-Ri nods enthusiastically.

"The city is great, the air is clean, and the people I've met so far are very welcoming."

"I see. I am glad to hear that," Ozpin lightly smiles. "I, too, love this kingdom with all my heart. In fact, I would do anything to protect it from any outside dangers."

Mo-Ri carefully eyes Ozpin while drinking from his cup.

"You can sense it too, can you not?" He continues. "Despite this being a time of celebration, there is an eerie tension lingering in the air, threatening to snap at any moment."

"... Is this why you called me up here?" Mo-Ri asks.

"Yes. I'm glad you caught on right away," The headmaster solemnly nods. "You see... I have a very strong feeling that you hold power far greater than what was shown when you saved Glynda's life. I will not forcibly push you for answers regarding the specifics of your power, but I would like to formally request of you..."

He lowers his head.

"Please aid Beacon and Vale with your strength."

Mo-Ri looks at Ozpin, surprised.

"If you're willing to bow your head like this, then I want to know... who exactly is it that you're fighting?"

Ozpin glances up at Mo-Ri and gives a small self deprecating smile.

"I suppose it is only fair that you know if I am to make this selfish request from you."

He lightly sighs before continuing.

"The enemy is a witch. Her name is Salem."

"Witch? Like magic?" Mo-Ri asks, thinking back to that old man magician back on Earth.

Ozpin raises an eyebrow.

"Yes, actually. You are familiar with magic?"

Nodding, Mo-Ri answers, "Back on my world, there is a National Magician Association. The leader of that group could do some pretty cool stuff with his magic."

"I-I see..." Ozpin is rather shocked. Apparently, magic is rather commonplace in Mo-Ri's world compared to Remnant.

He coughs, "Anyways, Salem is the one who has control over the Grimm. Though she rarely shows herself, her influence, due to the Grimm, stretches far and wide. As for the current problems in Vale, such as the crimes, White Fang, and even the attack on Ruby Rose... they are all linked to Salem's machinations."

Mo-Ri silently clenches his fists.

'So she's the one that is ultimately responsible for hurting Ruby... Salem...'

"And what is her goal by doing all of this?"

Ozpin sighs. "Salem's goal... is a particular object. For lack of a better word, we simply call them Shards. There are five in total. One for each of the four Kingdoms, and one in Salem's hands."

He lightly smiles at Mo-Ri.

"Do you remember when I said that I have very good reason to believe in the existence of other worlds?"

Mo-Ri nods.

"I made such a claim precisely because of the Shards' existence. We do not know where they originate from, nor do I think we've uncovered their full powers. However, what we do know is that they house divine power that should not exist on Remnant. Their mere presence repels the Grimm, which is why they are of such importance to the survival of mankind and the Kingdoms."

Ozpin takes a small breath and sips from his tea.

"Despite the little we know of the Shards, over the years, we've taken notice of some unique characteristics within each of them. The Shard of Power in Vacuo can grant the user a great boost in speed and strength. The Shard of Wisdom in Vale grants the user clarity of the mind. The Shard of Balance in Mistral is able to repel and absorb objects. The Shard of Courage in Atlas grants the user near limitless stamina. And finally, the Shard of Fear held by Salem... We do not know much about it as we have not had the opportunity to study it. However, what we do know is that it is the only Shard that seems to attract the Grimm, hence why we've named it Fear."

Mo-Ri listens with a neutral expression.

"Salem's goal is to steal Vale's Shard of Wisdom. There are two major effects by doing so. One, she gains additional power, and two, the divine protection of the Shard would be removed from Vale. Of course, given the number of experienced Huntsmen and military technology present, the city will be able to fend for itself for quite some time. However... if the Grimm endlessly siege us and it turns into a battle of attrition, it would only be a matter of time before the walls fall."

"This Shard of Wisdom, or whatever you call it. Can I see it?" Mo-Ri asks.

"... I had a feeling that you would ask such a question," Ozpin sighs as he stands up from his seat. "Follow me."

Mo-Ri follows Ozpin into the elevator in his office, and with series of button presses, the elevator lurches into motion as it quickly descends deep below the ground.

The hum of the elevator saturates the air as Ozpin and Mo-Ri remain silent during their trip down into the Vault.

After several minutes, the elevators slows to a halt and the doors slide open, revealing a large dark corridor, dimly lit by candles with green flames.

"Welcome to the Vault, Mo-Ri. The Shard is this way, at the very end of this corridor."

Mo-Ri remains standing in his position and stares intently into the darkness of the Vault.

"Mo-Ri?" Ozpin calls out.

"Right," he nods and follows behind the headmaster.

When they reach the end of the corridor, it opens up into a small chamber locked behind a transparent wall of light covered in various symbols and glyphs. Looking into the chamber, there is an empty marble pedestal floating above the ground.

Ozpin strolls up the transparent barrier and taps a finger against it. When he does, the surface of the barrier ripples like water, then shimmers out of existence.

"A security measure," Ozpin explains. "No one but I can open this magical barrier."

He then walks into the small chamber and knocks his cane against the ground. The ground itself ripples like a liquid and the pedestal slowly lowers itself down onto the ground. When it touches, the ground opens up and swallows the pedestal about halfway up its length. The remaining exposed part of the structure cracks open and unfurls like a flower, revealing a small piece of brown pottery in the center.

"Are you surprised?" Ozpin asks while glancing back at Mo-Ri, who has a stunned expression. "That I would go through all this trouble for an object that looks like nothing but a piece of hardened clay?"

"Where did you find this?" Mo-Ri slowly asks.

Ozpin muses, "Hmm... They were first found many thousands of years ago, when they fell from the skies as five shooting stars. Over the years, they've gone through various hands, but as you can see, it is all only history at this point in time."

Mo-Ri slowly begins to approach the Shard. As he steps closer and closer, the piece of clay hums louder with each consecutive step he takes. Noticing this phenomenon, Ozpin's eyes widen.

"This is... It is reacting to you... Why?"

Not answering Ozpin's question, Mo-Ri extends an arm out and beckons.

"Come," he commands

With a high pitched hum, the Shard darts away from its position and excitedly circles above Mo-Ri's palm, like a pet that had not seen its owner in a very long time.

Ozpin is completely boggled and in shock by the sight.

"M-Mo-Ri... What is the meaning of this?!"

His back turned to Ozpin, Mo-Ri calmly replies, "I simply called out to what originally belongs to me."

"Belongs... t-to you?" Ozpin stutters.

'Wait!...' His mouth drops. 'Mo-Ri's presence mysteriously repels the Grimm, much like the Shards. If the Shards possess divine powers, and this Shard reacts to Mo-Ri's commands, then that must mean that Mo-Ri is...'

With a pale expression, Ozpin very carefully asks, "Mo-Ri... What exactly are you?"

Mo-Ri whispers something to the piece of clay above his palm. In response, it flies back to its original place in the center of the marble flower, though it seems rather disappointed, if a piece of clay could even display emotion. Then, he turns around and casts his gaze upon Ozpin, and reveals his eyes.

"You've already made your conclusion, haven't you Ozpin?" Mo-Ri asks.

'Those eyes...'

"You are... a god..." Ozpin mutters in disbelief.

*** Amity Colosseum ***

"The next round is one many of us have been waiting for! Jin Mo-Ri vs Sun Wukong and Neptune!"

The crowd roars with excitement and anticipation as the two sides step up onto the arena. However, the initial excitement quickly turns to mutters of mild confusion as they gesture towards Mo-Ri.

"Um... Have you guys ever seen Mo-Ri use a weapon? Blake?" Yang asks.

Even Blake is rather surprised at the sight of the silver bo staff slung over Mo-Ri's shoulder.

"No, I've never seen him train or practice with any weapon before," she mutters.

"Isn't this so exciting?" Ruby bounces in her seat. "I wonder how Mo-Ri will fight with a weapon?"

"No wonder..." Nora wonders out loud.

"Nora? Do you know something?" Jaune asks.

"Well... a while back, Mo-Ri asked me a bunch of questions about how I handle Magnhild. Stuff like how I handle it effectively despite its weight. Kind of weird though... considering that he's using a skinny staff as a weapon. The weight and handle-ability aren't even in the same class. Heck, the two weapons aren't even remotely alike!"

"He must have had a very good reason," Ren comments. "We will likely see as to why in this upcoming fight."

"Weiss! Aren't you going to cheer for Sun?" Ruby innocently asks.

"And why would I do that?" Weiss crosses her arms.

Yang leans towards Weiss with a grin, "You don't have to be so shy around us. We know you fancy him. Once you started seeing Faunus as individuals... You've really come a long way Weissy. We're so proud of you!"

"Wha- H-How dare you insinuate such a thing!" Weiss yells with light pink cheeks. "He's a buffoon! A monkey brained dimwit no good... buffoon!"

*** Arena Stage ***

"Hey, think you can go easy on us? And what's with the weapon? Trying to copy me?" Sun grins.

"Make yourself as light as possible, Yeoui," Mo-Ri whispers as he stretches.

"Neptune," Sun calls out. "We're going all out from the start."

"Dude, you don't have to remind me," Neptune sweats. "At this point, you'd have to be stupid to hold back against him..."

"3... 2... 1... Begin!"

Neptune immediately runs towards the side of the stage while simultaneously firing several rounds from his rifle.

As Mo-Ri ducks and weaves away from Neptune's bullets, Sun jumps high into the air and swings his staff down onto Mo-Ri's head.

"Hah!"

'It is nothing more than an extension of myself... As natural as using my arms or legs.'

Mo-Ri flips sideways into the air in order to dodge Sun's overhead blow. As he twists, the rotational force of his movement naturally swings Ruyi Jingu upwards into Sun's chin.

Sun barely manages to lean away, but the air pressure generated by the passing weapon blows his hair upwards, and sends a jarring sensation through his head as he stumbles backwards.

'... How much does that thing weigh?!'

Mo-Ri skids onto his feet, and with a quick twirl of Ruyi Jingu, he easily deflects Neptune's incoming Dust rounds.

Yang whistles, "He's definitely not using that weapon for the first time... That's for sure."

"He maneuvered out of the way while integrating a natural counterattack. If Sun hadn't leaned away in time, it would've been over for him already," Weiss comments. "Just where the heck did Mo-Ri learn all of this? First, he's a kicking maniac. Then, he has his absurd strength, speed, stamina, and reaction time. And now, you're telling me that he's proficient with a weapon?"

"It's weird, but that staff really suits him," Ruby says with bright eyes.

"It's not only you Ruby," Pyrrha nods in agreement. "That weapon really does seem to suit him."

Sun claps his hands together and summons several Aura clones of himself, then sends them charging forward.

Mo-Ri raises an eyebrow.

'Even clones... How much of a copycat is this guy?'

"Neptune! Gonna need you to step up now buddy!" Sun yells out.

"Fine!" Neptune grumbles. "You know how much I hate this!"

He morphs his rifle into a trident, then channels his Aura through it as he swipes at the air. With a grimace, he conjures a large ball of water collected from the moisture in the air. He swings his weapon forward, launching the ball of water and enveloping Mo-Ri in a dome.

At the same time, Sun's clones dive into Neptune's water and strike out at Mo-Ri with their staffs.

"I didn't know Neptune's Semblance was water manipulation. He hasn't used his Semblance a single time up until now," Jaune ponders. "This is pretty smart. Sun's clones don't need to breath air and can be combined with Neptune's water prison for an effective combo attack."

"Against any other opponent this might work, but this is Mo-Ri we're talking about," Yang laughs.

"I already know he's about to do something insane..." Weiss groans. "I've been around him long enough to be able to sense it."

[Hanryang Style Pumba: 8th Verse, Beggar's Song Dance]

With a calm expression, Mo-Ri swings Ruyi Jingu in all directions around him like a sphere, displacing the dome of water around him and destroying Sun's clones in the process. As a result of this staff technique, the body of water around him explodes and rains across the entire arena as a fine mist.

"See! I knew it!" Weiss exclaims.

"What the hell?!" Sun yells before separating his staff into his nun-chuck pistols. He dashes forward in an attempt to take Mo-Ri by surprise.

"Neptune! Support me!"

Neptune shivers as the mist douses him. He grits his teeth and nods in affirmation.

Sun quickly gets within range, then rapidly spins and twirls his weapons acrobatically while firing his pistols.

Mo-Ri breathes out and engages with Sun's barrage.

'The difference between Ruyi Jingu and my arms and legs? Nothing.'

[Hanryang Style Pumba: Gaksu-Goiyi]

Much like how Mo-Ri normally uses his legs to divert attacks with his [Hook], he uses the tip of his staff to nimbly divert Sun's pistols away before they can get a clear shot at him. Moving and flowing like water, Mo-Ri expertly maneuvers Ruyi Jingu around his body, following the momentum and guiding it whenever necessary.

"Look!" Nora points and shouts. "That's just like me and Magnhild!"

"You're right..." Ren mutters. "It seems that he's paid pretty close attention to how you use your weapon, then integrated them into his own style of combat with that staff."

Mo-Ri suddenly feels something lock him into place. Glancing down, he sees tendrils of water reaching up from a puddle underneath him, wrapping around one of his legs. Across the arena, Neptune is very reluctantly holding his hand against another puddle of water.

'If that's the case...'

"Sun... Neptune should be careful of this next one," Mo-Ri warns as he flips Ruyi Jingu around himself at high speeds.

"What?"

Though he could easily break out of Neptune's binding with his brute strength, doing so would be meaningless to his own development. Thus, he adjusts his balance accordingly as he brings other leg up. Timing his kick perfectly with the position of Ruyi Jingu's spin, his toe connects with the end of his staff.

[Jin Mo-Ri Original: Railgun]

Like a .50 caliber bullet, his staff is launched straight at Neptune. Unable to react to the sheer speed of the projectile, the ground beneath Neptune explodes as the end of the staff connects, blasting him through the air and against the hard light arena boundary.

"Holy crap!"

Sun instantly raises his arms up into the air and drops his weapons.

"I give up! I give up! Hey Neptune! You alright there man?"

"And there you have it folks! Jin Mo-Ri is not only a master in hand to hand combat, but his weaponry skills with a staff is nothing to scoff at!"

"Understatement of the century..." The audience mutters.

*** Ozpin's Office ***

"Jin Mo-Ri grows stranger by the day," Glynda mutters. "For him to suddenly display such prowess with a weapon. I wonder why the change in style."

Ozpin looks down at his Scroll intently.

"You're a god..."

"... I am."

"But how? Why would a godly being from another world suddenly appear in Remnant?"

"I don't know if there is any reason for why I am here. There might not even be a reason at all. But none of that matters to me. I'm simply Jin Mo-Ri. That's all..."

Ozpin sighs to himself.

'Is he related in some way to the Brothers? Blasted gods always complicating matters! The silver lining to this development is that Jin Mo-Ri is willing to fight for Vale. If Salem learns of this, I wonder how she would react... And though he could have taken the Shard for himself, he returned it.'

"Professor?" Glynda asks.

"It's nothing," Ozpin tiredly responds as he looks up. "How are we coming along with the evacuations?"

"At the moment, things are going rather smoothly and discreetly," Glynda responds. "The civilians have been told that emergency renovations are taking place. To compensate them, they are being given housing in the finest hotels Vale has to offer, as well as paying off their expenses for the Festival. In the meantime, James' soldiers are settling in quite nicely."

"Good," Ozpin nods. "Keep a constant eye on the White Fang. If at any point they make any unexpected movements, you have my permission to wipe them out immediately with a team of Huntsmen."

"Yes sir."
