Inuyasha crossover Batman Begins

"Untitled"

"Wayne Enterprise is very much so sustainable under your care Mr Wayne, you do not need us," Kagome pointed out with an easy going smile upon her face as she look at the glass of champagne in her hand, turning her head ever so slightly as she glanced at the many others that are gathered there to raise funds for a charity.

He smiled, almost charmingly but his eyes they hold a certain glint in them. "Ms Higurashi, I can assure you, that we are very much so keen on working with your company,"

"I'm sure Mr Wayne," she dryly agrees in humor, "If you could send the proposal to my office, we will consider what you proposed seriously and I'll have my assistant to contact you once we've reached some consensus," her tone was almost dismissive, but it did put an end to talks of business between them tonight.

"Right, of course, no business tonight, enjoy yourself tonight Ms Higurashi," he said to the rather disinterested female as he raised his glass with a nod of acknowledgement to her before he turned to leave her.

Kagome glanced at his back from the corners of her eyes as he walked away from her, unsure of how to make of this situation, but was not given the time to think much as her partner that night returned to her side. More and introductions were given and made as she mingled with the guests gathered in the party as she smiled and made polite conversation.

Everything was going so perfectly monotone and clockwork, until she was once again interrupted by Bruce Wayne, for a dance which she accepted with amused delight, maybe because it's a dance.

"You dance wonderfully Ms Higurashi,"

"Thank you for the compliments,"

There was a silence between them as she danced, distracted from what she had felt rolling off him in waves.

"If there is something that you would like to say Mr Wayne, I would advise you to hurry it up,"

Bruce was amused, but said nothing as he waltz her across the floor gracefully,

"You seem to have tendency to court danger,"

"From what I remembered, it does not seem to like leaving me alone, are you going to be getting to the point Mr Wayne,"

"Straightforward…We would like to know on which side is it that you stand,"

He spun her just as the song ended, as he led her to the side, grabbing a drink for the both of them from a passing waiter, patiently waiting for her to reply.

"Those long nights are really starting to mess with your head Mr Wayne, yet that heavy metal and gunpowder scent does not seem to leave you even with the cologne that you wear tonight," she commented as she looked him in the eyes c,lear and unclouded before turning to walk away from him.

He was silent following her as he was lead to more quiet area, in the garden, where guests lingered and talked as they took walks with glasses of wine or champagne in their hand.

"You are rather relentless Mr Wayne,"

"Is that why you chose to lead us out here Ms Higurashi,"

She smiled and turned to face him, a languid but dangerous manner to her movements, that small smirk tugging at the edge of her lips, her hips cocked to a side as she held her head high, tilting it to the side in a playful coquettish manner. Her eyes danced in twinkled amusement, but said nothing as she regarded him, keeping the distance between them, a distance.

He was just as patient, waiting for her to say something just as she reflected the same in sentiments. Kagome smiled at him again, only with more mystery weaving around her, turned and walked on out into the darkness as she led him further. His answer is in action as he followed after her, in intrigue and for an answer.

"You seem to have a penchant for courting unnecessary danger Mr Wayne," she told him, head not turning back as she continued to move until she came to stop at a dead end amongst the maze hedges the height of a man.

He remained silent watching her, she turned her head ever so slight to look at him from the corner of her eyes, but then, disappeared almost instantly as he turned about to try searching for her in the dimly lit place.

"Ms Higurashi," he called out, trying to find her, his eyes scanning the area as he tried to look for her with trained keen eyes.

"Your instincts is there, but still rather dull," she near whispered in amusement from behind of him, disappearing again as he turned sharply to make a grab for her, but instead grabbed air.

"You've to do better than that Mr Wayne," she mused

"Aren't we a little too old for 'hide and seek' Ms Higurashi," he replied to air, but knows that she could hear him, and was waiting for her next move for him to zone in on her position before making a grab for her.

"I'm not a metahuman Mr Wayne," seeing that look on his face that told her more than he needs to say.

She remained silent again, erasing her presence as she watched him from her hiding spot to see what he will do next.

"Then what are you," he demanded, eyes scanning even more critically than before as he tries to find for her location.

"Much older than what you think Mr Wayne, you could say that I'm a myth and a legend." she slowly replied with some thought, but also remained on the move to disappear from where she once was.

"I would suggest Mr Wayne, to not find out too much, we each have our own troubles and secrets to deal with, without the need of involving others and giving ourselves unnecessary stress," she told him.

"Ms Higurashi, there is a greater thing than what we are doing, the whole of Earth will be eliminated if we do not band together," he told her, getting straight to the point.

"Mr Wayne, though I applaud you of your ambitions, there are always one too many variables that are constantly changing the balance, ready to be tipped over at any point of time. Who knows, something else might happen before that greater worse that you are mentioned, just about to happen,"

"Perhaps Ms Higurashi, Kagome, but there is a chance in which we can always try to stop it and win the game," he told her in a firm but gentle tone as he approached her, who have finally stood out in the open and not move.

"The outcome has yet to be set, do what you must Mr Wayne, I'm not interested nor want to be involved," she told him and left, only to be pulled back by the billionaire as they fought hand-to-hand in simple combat, using her own human capabilities instead of what she trained and inherited by changes.

"Very good Mr Wayne, but I believe that you could do better, sharper actions, more speed and accuracy, and less extra actions," she made a small compliment, and at the same time gave a few pointers of her own, jumping back away from him as she placed distance between them.

"Well, enjoy the rest of the party Mr Wayne," Kagome told him, and disappeared away from his sight again that he was unable to catch up.

Kagome had since fascinated him beyond what he had expected as he found as much information as he could, on the lines of what she meant by being Myth and a Legend. There were a few things in which he was able to find, but manage to somehow draw a few vague possibilities that are not too scientific or something that make sense because of the documentations that are close to non-existent or too vague to be of concrete proof.

There are many things that he wanted answered to his questions, the vagueness of the information that he had gathered are not enough to satisfy. And so far, the picture that he had painted, Bruce Wayne was not too sure of himself if any of his theories is right, so he scheduled a meeting, after a month or so when his curiosity got the better of him.

"Truly, is this business Mr Wayne? We are not very much convinced," Kagome said as she took a seat opposite of him in the restaurant.

"I'm sure Ms Higurashi, that this is only a beginning," Bruce Wayne commented with an easy-going smile as he took a seat opposite of her after seating her.

She smiled, not saying much, as she remained silent and observing the other.

"Perhaps Mr Wayne," she smile at him, a smile that made him feel that the mystery behind her smile left him feeling somewhat headless.

"If the Gods have decide to make sports of us Mr Wayne, we can only abide by what we are willed to do, and do what is within our roles," she told him, the way she said it sound so far-away, forlorn and yet so alone like she had already resigned to Fate.

"Well then, I should be leaving now," she said with a polite business smile upon her lips as Kagome stood from her seat, pulling her chair backwards as she picked up her clutch to walk away.

Bruce Wayne watches her walked away from their table without saying anything, he could see loneliness from her back. And yet, the way she carries herself spoke of nothing but strength and stubbornness that captured his attention.

This was not the beginning, perhaps he was way further in to this mystery that is Kagome Higurashi.
