Wassup readers! Apex Writing here. This is my first fanfic, and I hope you enjoy it. Some characters may act out of character, but I'll try my very best to write them as they are in canon. As for Izuku, he will be completely original in terms of character. He won't be edgy or anything, instead he'll be more relaxed but cautious due to what he has gone through. He'll be a little blunt too.Constructive criticism is welcome.Only gonna say this ONCE!!! I do not own My Hero Academia, its characters, or its plot, the rights belong to Kohei Horikoshi, the only thing I own is this story.

Shota Aizawa breathed in the cool night air from his post. After years of investigation, the Hero Commission had officially begun to prepare a raid on one of their prime targets: a terrorist facility that specialized in Quirk implementation surgery and experimentation.

Facility Apotheosis.

Word from their inside men had let the Hero Commission know that the Facility had begun a new project: Operation Geneticist. It involved the creation of a new breed of super soldier; tasked with taking down certain groups that the Facility thought would stand in their way. Politicians, Heroes, even Villains and other terrorist groups. They were anarchists, and that made them top priority for the Hero Commission.

"Ready EraserHead?'' asked Nemuri Kayama, AKA Midnight, over the comms.

Aizawa, AKA EraserHead let out a tired sign. "Let's get this over wi-" .

He was cut off by a thundering explosion from inside the facility.

"Did we do that?" Asked Hizashi Yamada, AKA Present Mic.

"Everyone in position?!" boomed All Might.

"Shut up you big fool!" Endeavour said, "Hurry up and get in there!"

The heroes barged in; All Might proudly declaring his presence with a "I AM HERE!", causing the remaining scientists to panic even further as they ran around the already damaged facility. The heroes began their raid, detaining scientists, freeing test subjects, and securing evidence. Aizawa rushed further down the facility, where he came across the operation halls.

'Something isn't right about this, most of the workers were already injured when we came in.' He thought to himself. He turned the hall and entered a new passageway.

Aizawa dodged a knife as a scientist sprung up from his hiding spot. Activating his Quirk; Erasure, in case the man had a dangerous Quirk, Aizawa flung his capture weapon on the man. Disarming him and tying him down quickly, he began his interrogation. "What's going on in these rooms?"

"I'm not telling you anything!" yelled the man. Only to scream as his left arm was dislocated by the hero. "Your right arm's next."

"Augmentation!" Yelled the scientist painfully, "But I'm not telling more!"

He had what he needed anyway. "That's fine, I'll just leave you to Endeavour." Aizawa knocked the man out and released his capture weapon. Putting handcuffs on the man's hands and legs, he continued to run through the halls. 'Gotta watch out for any augmented enemies' he mused. He stopped at the last room, and his eyes widened.

"Eraser!" a voice called out. Aizawa turned his head to see Midnight and Present Mic running towards him. "Mic, get the medics here NOW!" He commanded. Not missing a beat, Mic spun on his foot and rushed back from where he came from. Midnight didn't stop however, and came to a stop next to Aizawa.

"Oh god." She murmured.

Inside the room was a large stasis pod with tubes connecting it to computers and screens. The pod seemed to have been broken open, and a neon blue green liquid puddled around it The beaten bodies of several scientists laid across the room. Some were stuck to the walls in craters, others had smoking holes in their clothes and burns on their bodies, and some laid there with broken limbs.

"Eraser! I'm back with the meds, what's the situat- woah!"

Aizawa walked out the room and instructed Midnight to follow him as the medics went to attend the wounded scientists. Present Mic going back to handle the rescued test subjects with All Might.

A faint thud caught Midnight's ears. She turned to Aizawa with a look. "I heard it." Aizawa whispered. The duo exited the room and walked through the hall quietly, they passed another operation room, empty. They passed a lab, empty. They passed a storage closet, dark and empty. Damn it.

Huff, huff.*

The heroes froze. It came from an office.

Huff, huff. Thud.*

Midnight turned towards the sound, hearing another thud, she broke open the office door and stepped aside for Aizawa.

Ignoring his stinging eyes as he activated Erasure, Aizawa stepped into the room. Sweeping his gaze across the room, it was dark, and trashed. Something moved in his peripheral vision. He focused his eyes on it… there.

A boy.

The boy was partly obscured by the darkness of the room, but his figure was clear. He was hunched over, leaning on the wall and panting, but otherwise fine. His figure turned towards them. He tried to stand up, only to fall on his butt. He tried again, same result. His eyes seemed to focus on the adults in front of him. "Heroes?" he murmured.

"It's ok sweetie, we're not here to hurt you." Reassured Midnight.

The boy again tried to stand up, his legs visibly shaking. "Good, don't wanna… go back… to the pod..." the child collapsed, but Aizawa rushed and caught the boy before he hit the floor.

Aizawa rubbed his face, "Let's get him to the hospital."

Aizawa was nudged awake from his nap on the hospital bench by Kayama, "He's awake." she said.

Aizawa rubbed his eyes, "Any details from the interrogation we should know about before we go in?"

Kayama shrugged, "Most of it we already knew from the Hero Commission. If anything new pops up, they'll tell us."

The man looked around. "Where's Hizashi?"

"Went to his radio show, he has a special tonight."

"Loud-Mouthed traitor, he was supposed to be here." He rubbed his eyes again. "Are you leaving too?" He grumbled.

She smiled, "Nope! I want to see the kid a little more before I fill out my report. By the way, have you touched his hair? It's so fluffy! And he's so cute when he's sleeping!" she gushed.

Aizawa rolled his eyes, "Just try not to freak him out." he grumbled. That earned him a smack to the shoulder as they entered the room.

The boy they had rescued was sitting up on the bed with his arms under the covers. He looked cleaner than when he had been in the facility, and smelled better too. It was then where Aizawa was able to get a good look at the boy. White fluffy hair that stuck up at odd angles around his head, freckles that formed a diamond shape on his cheeks, and big, bright green eyes. He looked as tired as Aizawa did. And as if he had just finished crying.

To the boy's right was a man with short dark hair and dark eyes. He was wearing a light brown trench coat. Most likely a detective. He nodded to them in greeting. "Welcome you two, I am Detective Naomasa, we were just getting started."

Aizawa stood at the foot of the bed while Kayama took her place at the left side of the bed. She smiled sweetly at him. "Hello sweetie, mind telling us your name?" She asked.

The boy looked at her and tilted his head, "Name?" he asked back. "I don't have a name."

"Can you tell us what you were called at the facility then?" asked Aizawa.

The boy looked down at his covers, "Subject Nine." This earned him a sympathetic look from Kayama as well as the detective. Aizawa didn't show any outward emotion, but he felt angry inside. Angry that a boy had to refer to himself as a number.

Detective Naomasa wrote what he had heard down, then took over the questioning. "Well… Nine…. as you already know, I am Detective Naomasa, we are going to ask you some questions over Apotheosis, just tell us what you know and if this starts to get overwhelming for you, let us know okay?" he got a nod in response. " Alright, let's begin, how old are you?"

"I am ten years old."

"Okay, and when were you taken to Apotheosis?"

"I was born there."

That got him a confused look from the detective, " I'm sorry, you were born there?"

"Yes."

"Were your parents taken as well?"

"I don't have any parents."

Now everyone was confused, he was born in the facility, but didn't have parents. Aizawa had a hunch what the boy could have been referring to. But he was almost afraid to ask about it. "Explain." He said to Nine.

The boy just signed, "The scientists told me that I had been made in a test tube. As for the donors, I don't know who they are."

The room was quiet for a minute, Naomasa was furiously scribbling down information as the boy talked, Kayama petted the boy's hair comfortingly, and Aizawa merely watched the kid with a mixture of surprise and caution.

"Looks like Organism Augmentation and Quirk Engineering wasn't the only thing that Apotheosis did." Aizawa mumbled.

The questions continued for a few more minutes; simple ones such as how long had Nine been training, what the purpose of the pods were, if there were any others like him, the type of weapons the facility had, etc. In the end, it all came to the last question, one that was on everyone's minds.

The detective spoke first. "You said you had been training at the Facility since you were five, and that many of the other test subjects we rescued along with yourself were mostly used as sparring tools…. Could you tell us what you were to the organization?"

Nine looked between the three adults, he had been doing this since they started, it almost seemed like he was analysing them, studying them. It unnerved the heroes quite a bit. After another look at his blankets, he responded, his demeanour changing slightly.

"I have a gash on my left ribside, it's from an Organism Augmentation surgery that took over a month to complete. Its result was a strengthened body among other things. The other subjects we previously discussed as training tools were used to test my strengthened body. To the Facility, I was their first Super Soldier."

The heroes and detective's eyes widened in shock. This kid was a weapon, the weapon. And at only ten years old too. Had he been the cause for the explosion earlier? The fact that these scientists went through the trouble of creating a human in a test tube, giving it life, and raising it to become nothing more than a weapon was sickening.

Aizawa was the first to shake himself from his stupor, he was much more alert now. "Were you involved in any way with Quirk Engineering?"

Nine nodded, "Yeah, on top of my Organism Augmentation."

Kayama was next, "Do you mean you were given a Quirk as well as an augmented body?"

Nine was about to respond, but Naomasa lifted his hand, "Due to not being in a more secure area, we are going to have to refrain from asking these types of questions for now. We'll continue after you have recovered enough to be moved to a safer location."

Nine nodded, "Yes sir."

And with that, the questioning was paused for a later date.

As Kayama cooed at the boy's appearance (which the boy was cautious but grateful to receive at the same time), the two men talked to the side of the room. "This just got a hell of a lot more complicated." Aizawa mumbled. Naomasa nodded, "The Hero Commission is gonna have a field day with this. I'll talk to the doctors to see when he should be ready to move, and to swear their silence on this matter. I don't want the press getting their ears on this. Those vultures have eyes and ears everywhere. They're pretty good at bribing too. We already risked enough asking the questions we did."

"It's the most rational choice we can take right now." Aizawa commented.

The detective began to pack his notes, as he opened the door to exit, he addressed the Erasure Hero once more, "I'll call you when we have a place set up. Expect the Principal of U.A. to be there for supervision and advisory purposes, and I'll be sure to bring All Might for security. Get some rest EraserHead, we have some hard work ahead of us."

After a quick goodbye, Aizawa left Kayama alone with the boy. But not before getting one last look. He signed.

"Problem child." He muttered.

Okay, how was that for a first chapter, there's a couple of things I would like to address with this story. Let's start.

Izuku looks different here, yes he has white hair. I saw a YouTube video of it and really liked how it looked. So I decided to incorporate it here. I'll be doing this with most of my fanfics; giving the main character slight change in looks and character (duh), just to add some uniqueness into the story.

He starts off with the name Nine, but Aizawa is going to fix that. He'll give him the name Izuku. (Since it has kanji for Nine.)

Dadzawa…. Yeah

Izuku will not use Nine as his hero name, that will only remind him of his time in Apotheosis. I've already got a hero name picked out for him.

Izuku will be in Class 1C, I know it's not a heroics course class, but it is for this story.

There will be some other known characters in 1C, including a certain Shiketsu student. Try to guess who it is. Also I am putting two villains from canon as UA students in class 1C for this story.

Izuku will have a sibling-like relationship with Fem Shoto. Nothing more. That's final.

He'll be slightly OP, but there will be room for him to improve skill wise and character wise.

Bakugo's gonna consider Izuku more of a freak than a useless nobody. He'll still be arrogant like his usual self. And just as violent.
