(Narrator POV)
Everyone and anyone was talking about it today, mothers hugged their children in good luck, as fathers quietly reassured their children that they would get in and do great, what other day would it be expect the U.A Entrance Exam, the same exam that almost every kid has been dreaming or dreading about. The chances of someone actually getting into U.A was minuscule in itself, a 1/300 chance someone could be accepted in, and it wasn't just the Hero course that had such small odds, almost every department did.
As students walked in through the gates of U.A for the Hero course exam, some possible students radiated confidence while others shakily walked, but one student in particular walked forward with an aura surrounding him, not an aura of confidence or arrogance, but simply acceptance. What was once curly and unruly emerald, green hair was now cut short to the sides and back, while the top of the teen's head was cut back, but was still curly.
Izuku Midoriya has trained hard in the last month, having forced himself to train harder and harder each day, overcoming his limits with each passing second. The green haired teen could be called a borderline superhuman in terms of intelligence and physical prowess before he assigned his stat points, but after he had finished assigning them, he was in another ball park all together, but despite that, that didn't stop Izuku from stepping on the banana peel in front of him.
In a comical fashion, Izuku's upper body started going backwards as his legs flew up into the air, green eyes were calm as they realized that this was most likely the way he was going to die, blunt force trauma to his skull, and not multiple car batteries exploding around him like a week ago. Izuku's body never hit the ground, as a matter of fact he was suspended in midair, not moving at all, that made Izuku blink in confusion.
"It would've been bad luck if you feel." Cheerfully greeted a girl who was upside down, Izuku blinked as he realized that he was simply looking at her from upside down, and as a matter of fact he was quite low. "Sorry for using my Quirk on you without permission." Apologetically apologized the girl, pushing Izuku upwards until he was slightly hovering above the ground, with his feet beneath him before his feet touched back down on the ground.
Turning around, Izuku's green eyes took in the girl in front of him and activated [Observe], she was a short girl standing at 5'1, with a slender yet feminine build. She had fair skin with a blush on her cheeks. Her eyes were large and round, their irises a warm auburn brown, with rather thick upper eyelashes. Her hair was shoulder-length and about the same color as her eyes, her hair was bobbed and curved inwards at the ends, with two longer clumps taking the same shape on either side of her face, and short bangs that reach roughly a quarter of the way down her forehead.

"Thank you for that, I'm Izuku Midoriya." Politely greeted Izuku, bowing slightly in appreciation for what the girl had done for him, despite now that the majority of the students had now entered U.A, leaving only the stragglers behind. 'Hell yeah! I nailed talking to the girl!' Excitedly thought Izuku, [Gamers Mind] had managed to block out the majority of the worry about talking to a girl, but he had done it.
The sound of footsteps sharply slamming down against the pavement made Izuku look up, meeting bloody red eyes as he did so, which were a mixture between a glare and a disbelieving stare. Katsumi Bakugo slowly came to a halt in front of the two, she had tried being a 'better' person, since Izuku had actually tried to improve himself to he could be a Hero, she decided to be a 'better' person.
"Deku... don't do as horrible as you normally do." Bluntly snarled Katsumi, which could've been taken as an insult or compliment, depending on how you were feeling, but Izuku was willing to take it as a compliment today. "I'll be taking first place, so don't even bother trying to." Determinedly growled Katsumi, briefly looking away from Izuku and towards the front door of U.A, turning back a second later to see Izuku with a sandwich currently in his mouth.
"Whatever floats your boat." Nonchalantly mumbled Izuku, taking a sip of water a second later, and both Katsumi and Ochaco could've swore that Izuku did not have that prior to their meeting. "Okay then, see ya later Ochaco and Katsumi." Loudly grunted Izuku, sauntering off to the front door of U.A, leaving the two girls behind.
"So... you call him Deku?" Awkwardly asked Ochaco, nervously bouncing on the balls of her feet as Katsumi glared at her, a small smile growing on Ochaco's face, while Katsumi started glaring harder in hopes of making the girl combust into flames. "... are you guys dating?" Curiously huffed Ochaco, hearing an explosion roar from Katsumi's hands, making Ochaco Quickly run away once she realized her mistake.
Katsumi stood there growling for a minute, sparks crackling up along her palm as she tried calming down her temper, grinding her teeth against one another as she recalled the round faced girl asking if she and Deku were dating. A small pang of guilt hit Katsumi's heart, she doubted that Izuku could ever like her like that after all she's done to him, and by all rights he should hate her existence, but for some reason he doesn't hate her, and was actually trying her to be friends with her.

Izuku was busy drumming his fingers down against the table, he was in Training Ground B, but Izuku wasn't overly concerned about the exam itself since he thought that he was well prepared for it at this point, if his 'Quirk' awoken when he was four, then Izuku could've easily done it. Pulling up his status, Izuku let his green eyes wander over it, passively filtering what Present Mic was saying.

'So there's 3 types of robots, worth 1 point, 2 points, and 3 points, along with the fourth robot which is worth 0 points.' Mentally summarized Izuku, slowly releasing the breathe that he had been holding in without realizing it, before quietly looking around him. 'I can hardly believe that only 40 of us will actually get in.' Unbelievingly mulled Izuku, a good few of the people here looked as if they had potential, but it wasn't just the Quirk that made the Hero, their personality also had a huge part to play.
"Excuse me! You with the green hair and plain features! Do you mind stop drumming your fingers! It is distracting!" Loudly bellowed a voice from behind Izuku, making the green haired teen slowly look around towards the source of the noise, a small smirk growing on Izuku's face as he stared at the teen.
"If you're distracted this easily, I wonder how you'd do in a life or death situation. Imagine, someone's life is on the line and you're so easily distracted, I'd feel sorry for them." Coldly spat back Izuku, metaphorically baring his fangs at the blue haired teen, since Izuku had finally grown out of his shell of being a wimp. "Sorry about that Present Mic, please continue." Politely apologized Izuku, hearing n's the teen splutter behind him, and out of the corner of his eyes Izuku could see a small smirk of amusement on Katsumi's face.
"THANK YOU LITTLE LISTENER! BUT, I WAS JUST DONE ANYWAY!" Loudly bellowed Present Mic, making the majority of the students blink a few times as they tried to comprehend the volumes at which the man shouted, and Izuku was fairly certain someone was crying in pain from the noise. "EITHER WAY, YOU CAN ALL HEAD OFF TOWARDS YOUR DESIGNATED AREA! THERE'S A BUS OUTSIDE WITH THE CORRESPONDING LETTER ON IT!" Hurriedly yelled Present Mic, Izuku nodded slightly in understanding, as the majority of the students and himself stood up, before making their way towards the designated exits.
Izuku wasn't a fool, he could feel the stare of disapproval on the back of his head from the blue haired teen, and Izuku was well aware that he shouldn't have lashed out like that, but last night the teen barely got any sleep at all due to his nervousness. Deciding that he should apologize later, Izuku felt a small smile grow on his face as he stared at a green notification popping up in front of him, he had actually expected it to happen earlier, but now was as good as ever.
Mission: Rising of the Hero!
Description: You are now taking your second step at becoming a hero! Complete U.A entrance exam, and get enough points to get in! Note, missions tend to have secret parts to them, that if done shall earn you special rewards!
Reward: 10000 EXP, 1 Rare Skill Book
Failure: Not getting into U.A
[Y/N]
'So there's secret parts to each mission, and there's such thing as Rare Skill Books.' Interestedly mused Izuku, accepting the mission since he would be kinda insane not to do so, plus Izuku was excited about the fact of getting a Rare Skill Book. 'So, that means that there's the possibility of Exotic, Unique, and Legendary ranked Skill Books.' Mentally theorized Izuku, aware of the fact that he couldn't prove it for now but there was nothing from disproving his theory, for now anyway.
Walking out of the exit among the hoard of students, Izuku was forced to shield his eyes from the sudden brightness that pierced his eyes, making the majority of the students grumble in annoyance before they started making their way towards their designated bus. A small bit of confidence wriggled its way through Izuku's body, making the teen smirk a bit as he realized that he was in fact the last person walking onto the B-bus, and looked around it.
Green eyes gazed over his competition, there was Ochaco and the blue haired teen from earlier, a girl who had bright orange hair, and a teen who simply could not stop twinkling, those were the people who caught Izuku's eyes. There was a spare seat beside the orange haired girl, unfortunately the seat beside Ochaco was taken, so it looked like Izuku would be forced to talk to more than one girl today.
Quietly making his way over, Izuku nervously gulped at the thoughts of talking to another girl, subconsciously opening his inventory and discreetly pulling a water bottle out. Being the awkward mess that he was and still is, Izuku tripped face first to the ground, his forehead slamming against the floor of the bus with enough force to alert everyone in the bus.
"Karma." Quietly mumbled the blue haired, spectacle teen, looking satisfied at Izuku's misfortune, as the teen in question started pulling himself up off of the ground, with an embarrassed blush on his face.
Izuku slipped into his seat, the oorange haired girl with teal colored looking at him between a mixture of concern and amusement, and Izuku did the same as he looked over the girl in front of him. She was tall, 5'5 if Izuku was to guess, she had pale, clear skin, teal eyes and long, ginger hair that was tied into a high ponytail on the left side of her head. Her bangs were split into three clumps around her eyes, and some of her hair sticks up in large tufts on the top of her head.
"I guess I should introduce myself." Awkwardly hummed Izuku, watching as the girl pursed her lips together and slowly nodded in agreement, and Izuku felt like his very soul was being picked apart and judged by the girl. "Izuku Midoriya, and I must say your gaze is kinda intense." Shyly stated Izuku, internally cheering at the fact he hadn't combusted into flames out of sheer embarrassment, but the fact that he girl was more amused than anything was a good thing.
"Itsuka Kendo, and thank you for the compliment." Amusedly stated Itsuka, turning her gaze back towards the window, before turning her gaze back towards Izuku and halted slightly, since the teen had a sandwich in his hands. "Did you always have that, or am I not paying attention?" Confusedly questioned Itsuka, watching as Izuku scarfed down the sandwich at impressive speeds, though the fact he wasn't chocking was a small miracle.
"My Quirk, one of its functions is to give me an inventory, where time is completely halted, and I was hungry." Honestly answered Izuku, demonstrating by gently moving his right hand forward, which disappeared before Izuku pulled it back, showing off a second water bottle. "Want one?" Curiously asked Izuku, already handing it over towards Itsuka, who slowly accepted the bottle of water.
"Inventory? You mean like one of those gaming things?" Confusedly asked Itsuka, making Izuku nod in confirmation as the bus took a sharp bend, causing Izuku to clench down with his hands so he wouldn't go flying into the isle again. "You really think that the buses at U.A would have safety belts." Idly grumbled Itsuka, adjusting her grip on the bag on her lap, peering slightly out of the window.
"We're here." Slowly mumbled Izuku, feeling himself being tugged forward slightly as the bus came to a halt, nodding slightly at Itsuka in acknowledgment, before standing up as the bus came to a complete halt. "It could be cool if someone here could keep up with me." Amusedly noted Izuku, it sounded arrogant and he knew that, but annoying people so they would do better was kind of his thing.
People fumed as they watched the green haired teen saunter off of the bus, a nonchalant grin on his face as he slowly made his way over towards the changing rooms nearby, but Itsuka had a sinking feeling that Izuku was being sincere.

"Being!" Loudly announced Present Mic, [Mana Enhancement] crackled to life beneath Izuku's skin, emerald green eyes seemed to glow with energy as Izuku slowly opened up his right hand, before taking off. "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? THERE'S NO COUNTDOWN ON THE BATTLEFIELD!" Bewilderedly shouted Present Mic, watching as one lone applicant was already sprinting down the street, already having his Quirk activated.
Four [Frisbees] flew around Izuku as he sprinted down the street, slamming into various robot with enough force to dent them, followed by one of the other disks of mana to crush the robot's head. Izuku eyed everyone around him, focusing on one of the [Frisbees] in particular, and halting its spinning momentum with [Mana Manipulation], before leaping onto it and deactivating [Mana Enhancement].
Floating upwards, Izuku kept an impassive look on his face before he came level with the highest building in a matter of second, with the three other [Frisbees] coiling around him, before Izuku started peering downwards. Was this the most effective strategy that Izuku could think of, it was, since it gave him a vantage point compared to everyone else, and he could allow his mana to recover as he attacked from above.
'The exam is 15 minutes... I think, 30 seconds have passed and I'm at 6 points.' Mentally calculated Izuku, forcing one of the [Frisbees] to rocket downwards as he could make it, shattering the robot that was about to be destroyed by the blue haired teen. "SORRY! NOT SORRY!" Apologetically shouted Izuku, making his platform hover forward as he repeated this process, but trying his best to target robots that nobody else were going for.
(Location change)
"It seems like we have quite a unique batch of students this year." Idly noted the bear/mouse/dog think that was sitting in one of the many seats in the room, this bear/mouse/dog think was the principal of U.A, whom was called Nezu. "Tell me Toshinori, which one is he?" Quietly mumbled Nezu, discreetly looking up at the skeletal man sitting beside him, Nezu had honestly been curious to see All Might's possible successor.
"Top left screen, the green haired boy on the disk"! Lowly whispered Toshinori, watching in pride as Izuku easily destroyed another robot, if Toshinori was correct with his counting, then Izuku was roughly at 54 points already. "From what I know, Izuku is confident enough that he could take on the majority of the first year Hero course second, and even a few second year ones." Quietly rumbled Toshinori, watching as Nezu quickly typed something into his laptop, pulling up a few files on the teen.
"Some of them have potential, but they all have flaws." Loudly groaned the scruffy man sitting in the corner of the room, his black eyes completely bloodshot as he sipped on his Capri Sun, something about that man had a way of unnerving anyone who stared into his eyes too long. "Green haired brat is powerful for his age, though his pride is slowly creeping into borderline arrogance. It is the same with the girl with explosive palms. If they get in, I'm having them fight a third year." Sleepily moaned Shota Aizawa, this man wasn't a morning person by any stretch of the imagination, or even an afternoon, evening, or night person, he'll he's not even a peoples person.
"Oh? That's a pretty good idea Aizawa, I think the next Big 3 are good candidates for the fight." Excitedly suggested Nezu, the mouse had heard from Toshinori how strong Izuku was, and wanted to compare Izuku and his Gamer Quirk against the ninth user of One For All. "I think it's time we see what these students are truly made of." Crazily chuckled Nezu, slamming down on the red button in front of him, which simultaneously released all of the Zero Pointers in each exam site.
(Location change)
Izuku couldn't feel it, but he could see the majority of the students stumble, even some of the buildings nearby rumbled slightly, as Izuku could faintly hear the hissing of wires and the groan of gears. Green eyes widened slightly in surprise as he watched a humongous robot slowly rise upwards, it easily towered over the majority of the buildings, and Izuku felt his throat go dry before he activated [Observe] on the behemoth of a robot.

"I'll concentrate on the robots that will be left behind from the others running." Idly noted Izuku, sighing slightly in relief once he noted that his mana was completely recovered, looking down and seeing no robots, zooming forward while looking down. 'I wonder if one of the hidden objectives is to take down the Zero Pointer, or to rescue someone. This is a Hero school, and being a Hero doesn't just involve fighting people but also rescuing them.' Curiously mulled Izuku, recalling the many times he had seen the Sports Festival and the people who were in the Hero course, who simply didn't have a combat based Quirk.
Slowly Izuku held his right arm into the air, the disc beneath Izuku's feet slowly lowered towards the ground, as the three other [Frisbees] started whirling around Izuku as high speeds, before the disk beneath Izuku's feet disappeared, allowing the teen to fall the last few feet. Ochaco was behind him, ever so slowly Izuku could feel the [Frisbees] spinning faster and faster, as emerald green eyes glowed with power.
A spark crackled between the [Frisbees] as they started flying closer around Izuku, followed by a steady stream of sparks leaping off of each [Frisbee] and into Izuku's, slowly gathering in his right palm. Transmuting his mana into electricity was still out of his reach, but Izuku had found a way to make his mana build up static electricity when it was being pushed against the air at high speeds.
"May not be able to do this properly yet, but I'll learn how to do this so I can save people, no matter the pain." Determinedly mumbled Izuku, a sudden large jolt of electricity raced towards Izuku, a smirk forming on Izuku's face as he began letting his mana mingle with the electricity in his right hand. "TAKE THIS!" Loudly snarled Izuku, thrusting his right arm towards the head of the Zero Pointer as it reeled its right arm backwards, just as Izuku's entire right arm started glowing green.
A jagged thunderbolt roared from Izuku's right hand, flying through the air as Izuku activated [Mana Manipulation] on it, Izuku was being honest when he barely felt any control on the thunderbolt, and was honestly struggling to direct towards the Zero Pointer's head. Izuku's knees buckled beneath him as the thunderbolt pierced the Zero Pointer's head, a bright light filled everyone's eyes as the roar of thunder followed after the thunderbolt, making each window nearby to shatter from the intensity of the boom.
Everything came to a complete standstill, all of the other participants were frozen solid as they saw the Zero Pointer's head completely eradicated, along with a shower of glass falling towards the green haired boy and the brown haired girl. A dome of green energy flickered to life around the two, protecting them both of the shards of glass falling down around the two, harmlessly bouncing off of the dome and around shattering against the ground.
"TIME IS UP!" Loudly screeched Present Mic, having accidentally forgot to announce it a few second ago, since the man had been absolutely miffed by the green haired teen's power, and couldn't help but feel prideful that the next generation of Heroes had someone so powerful in it.
One certain blue haired, buff teen was frozen as he looked at the green haired prick from earlier, and Iida Tenya couldn't help but feel that the confidence that was borderline arrogance was somewhat understandable now, since Iida was certain that most Pro Heroes couldn't take out a Zero Point. Now that Iida had a minute to think about it, the teen couldn't help but clench his hands into fists out of anger at his own stupidity, since he should've known this earlier.
"This is a Hero School." Lowly grumbled Iida, livid at his own obliviousness and selfishness, since this was the prestigious U.A that they were talking about, so it should've been easy to figure out but he had glossed over it, while the green haired prick realized it. "Rescue points, that's most likely a think. To separate the one's with a true hero's heart against the false hero's heart." Sadly sighed Iida, knowing that it would be justified if he did not get into U.A, since he had been so selfish.
Blue eyes gazed towards the green haired prick, a bit of respect grew in Iida's heart for the teen, as he watched the green haired teen shakily pushing himself up off the ground, a shaky smile on his face. With obvious great effort, the green haired teen gave off a smile that could rival the sun, before raising his right arm above his head, telling everyone something.
He was here, and he would protect them!

"So I most likely got in." Exhaustedly sighed Izuku, curling deeper into his blanket, being confident enough that he had more or less aced the written section of the exam, before holding out his right hand from beneath his blanket. "I'll learn this skill now." Lazily yawned Izuku, pulling the book out of his inventory, looking at the orange cover that had swirls in each corner of the cover page, unlike the 'Common' skill books which tended to be blue.
The good broke into shards of light the second Izuku completely pulled the book out of his inventory, bracing himself for the rush of information that forced itself into his brain, making itself at home. Blinking his eyes a few times, Izuku's eyes were watering slightly, as he read over his newest skill.

That's a wrap people! There won't be many hidden objectives in future missions and whatnot. Some of you may be interested to know how powerful Izuku is currently, and I'd say at this point in time he's currently tied third out of the 1st year Hero Course, he's behind Todoroki and Katsumi in terms of raw Quirk power and whatnot, but is tying with Momo.
See ya next time!
