Chapter 2

- Asia -

"Congratulations, we have safely landed in Kuoh, Japan. The time is now 10:47 p.m. Please keep in mind that the temperature is now twenty degrees colder than it was in England. For passengers who will continue to another destination, please proceed to the transfer desk and thank you for flying with Kuoh Airlines."

A pretty young girl with long blonde hair and green eyes let out a yawn, as she had just woken a long sleep. She needed it after what she has gone through the past few days.

The blonde-haired girl watched as multiple people began to file out of the plane. A majority of them sent her some looks. It's probably because of her outfit. It is quite odd to find a fully dressed nun on a plane, especially one of her age.

The young girl watched on patiently as more and more people passed her, a look of curiosity and wonder on her face. It was her first time on a flight, she had been secluded most of her life so she didn't know much. Luckily for her, she counted as an unaccompanied minor so she had assistance, hence why she was still seated as others were leaving.

The blonde took a moment to think over why she was here. It all started with what she did everyday, heal, only this time she healed the wrong kind of person... or creature if one was to be technical. It got her kicked out from the only place she knew as a home and after that, there was no one that wanted her. She prayed and prayed for a saving grace and fortunately she got one.

She was approached by a priest who told her she was needed in 'Kuoh' and then was put on a plane, no question asked. It was her only hope after all.

"Asia, we're ready for you now" said a european flight attendant in whom the blonde had come to know as her guide.

Asia nodded getting up from her seat before momentarily glancing out the small window next to her seat.

It was a nice city. Was this where she would start a new journey. Only time will tell.

- Sona -

"So… Riku-san. You're telling me that you were out of a stroll and happened to run into a stray devil preying on a pair of humans."

TAP*

"Yup!"

TAP*

"And when you arrived the stray had already killed both of them and was already feeding on one of their corpses."

TAP*

"Yup!"

"And attempting to put down the monster for good, you used a spell which not only destroyed the stray but the corpse it was feeding on."

TAP*

"Yup!"

"Do you have any other response besides 'yup'"

TAP*

"Yes" The black-haired boy across from her said with a smirk, as he moved his Knight to capture one of her Rooks. No matter it's all part of her carefully thought out plan. The boy was quite talented at chess.

Sona sighed. She started to think about how she ended up playing chess with someone she believed to be an enemy in disguise. After all, not many humans mingled so casually with devils. They are supposed to be the 'evil' of the world.

It's not like she had a choice in bringing the boy back to her base in Kuoh Academy. It was the better decision for her since it bought time for her to call upon her Queen in case things got out of hand. Originally, she didn't think a mere human was worth calling any of her peerage up but… he proved to be quite strong.

Flashback Start

Sona Sitri was absolutely furious. The one she had been watching for a while now, Saji Genshirou, was gone. He wasn't just dead, no that wouldn't be a problem as long as the body was there. But that's the thing… it wasn't.

At first, the Sitri Heiress thought there was a stray devil involved since the tracker she placed on Saji went off and she had gotten a report about a stray lurking in her town from the Underworld. Sona would come to save Saji and even if she arrived too late, it would be no problem reincarnating the boy. She didn't want to reincarnate Saji like this but it would be a major waste just to leave him be.

That would have been the plan anyways… but like she mentioned before, Saji's body wasn't anywhere and there was no stray devil to be found, just… blood and guts… and a human with a magic signature who she believed to be the cause of everything.

In a moment of rage, Sona sent a spell at the boy. A simple but powerful spell. One that should have left him crippled for a few days… but he cut through it with his katana. This put Sona more on edge than she previously was. How did he counter her spell like that? Was that sword a sacred gear… no it was completely normal. Considering his magic power, he must have countered her spell by channeling a counter-spell through his sword.

The Sitri magic circle appeared as Sona summoned a large water serpent and sent it charging at the magician at an absurd speed. It struck him creating a cloud of dust in the process. This was one of her more advanced spells, surely it would keep down… or kill him if she overestimated his skills.

Once the dust cleared up, Sona was surprised to see that the magician was… gone. Before she could even attempt to look for him, she felt something cold touch her neck. It took a quick glance down to see that it was metal… a blade.

"I don't want to hurt you, I believe there was some sort of misunderstanding." said a silky smooth voice from behind her. "Besides the girl is alive, barely, but still alive."

Wait! What girl? Oh there was someone else here.

"Now," the voice continued "why don't we help her out first and then we can have a chat and clear up any… confusions."

Flashback End

Sona had no excuse for not noticing Ruruko Nimura bleeding out on the floor but then again, she is a devil and her greed and wrath clouded her sight momentarily.

Luckily for the first year, the Sitri clan is known for their medical services. Back when Sona first came to the human world, she borrowed technology from her family's hospitals in case she or her peerage got injured to the point where conventional means would prove to be futile.

While devils have an… intimate way of healing, it is not perfect… plus Nimura is not a devil so that process would do nothing for her. So right now, Ruruko Nimura was at Sona's manor in the outskirts of Kuoh, healing under the watch of one of Sona's bishops who coincidently happened to be one of Nimura's friends.

Not trusting the magician, who said his name was Riku, with the location of her manor, Sona dropped him off at the student council club room and returned with her Queen after she had settled Nimura in. She didn't want the boy to feel threatened by bringing her entire peerage for their 'chat'. Besides she had her peerage on standby, awaiting teleportation, in case things got rough.

When Sona returned, the magician was awaiting her with her own chess board all set up. While Sona found this… suspicious, she couldn't help it, she loved chess. Sona then listened to the boy's explanation and how he defeated the stray while enjoying a... surprisingly good game of chess.

While his story seemed plausible, it didn't explain one thing that has been bugging her since she first laid eyes on him.

"What is a magician doing in a devil town, anyways?" Sona asked as she eyed the boy whose face was adorably scrunched trying to think of a move to counter her.

Wait? Did she just think he was adorable?

"I was born here. Thought I might come live here for my final years of high school." Riku answered simply, not looking at Sona as he made his move.

"While Kuoh might be your hometown, it belongs to me and I don't exactly feel comfortable with a magician roaming around." Sona replied back sharply, still eyeing the boy to see how he would react.

"True, but the previous owner of this town was also a devil and she didn't have a problem with me and my… pops, so I don't see why you should." The blue-eyed boy replied, taking a very small pause before the words 'pops' with a certain glint in his eyes, as if something about his father amused him. "It's your turn by the way"

Sona nodded as she looked at the board, calculating the various ways she could bring a checkmate. He wasn't wrong about the previous tenant of Kuoh being a devil. Sona doesn't know much about her, since for some reason, the government wants her to be forgotten. There are no records of her anywhere.

As suspicious as that maybe, Sona never really cared. When her sister first bought this territory for her, Sona had quickly refused it as she had reached the point in her life where she realized anything and everything her sister touched always ended in disaster.

After several harsh rejections, Serafall gave the territory, as a gift, to one of her co-workers siblings, Rias Gremory, her rival. Long story short, Sona was livid and demanded 'her' territory back from Rias. Unfortunately, like the japanophile she is, Rias stubbornly refused to return anything leaving Sona with one option… her sister.

After… begging Serafall for help, she struck a deal with Rias' brother so that both her and Rias would share the territory. While it's not what she wanted, it's still better than letting Rias own the entire territory by herself. That was the first time Sona asked for help from her sister in a long time.

…Now that she thinks about, that whole thing might have been an elaborate plot by her sister.

"Besides," Riku started, bringing Sona out of her thoughts. "I can prove to be very useful if you allow me."

"Really?" Sona questioned with a raised eyebrow. "And how exactly would you be 'useful' to me."

"You already know how strong I am." Riku said confidently with a sly smirk on his face as he made eye contact with Sona. "We can have a… partnership of sorts, like a 'you scratch my back, I scratch yours' kind of thing. I offer my services to you, like killing strays, and in return you can help me out when I need it. So how about it?"

"Thanks but no thanks." Sona replied while pushing up her glasses as they shone. "Your services aren't needed."

Killing stray devils may be the only thing Sona Sitri can consider entertaining. In this small human town there is nothing else to do but that and making contracts. Contracts are such a bore. Before the laws passed by the new Devil King Lucifer and Zekram Bael, contracts were so intense that one wrong move and a devil could lose their soul to a human. But with all the right moves they would gain the soul of said human, which would result in great growth of power.

Trying to prevent another Great War and make devils be seen in a different light, laws were changed, making contracts a barter trade of sorts. Devil services in exchange for what can be offered to compensate for such services. Many high class devils found this ridiculous, since humans figured out they could make devils do trivial tasks for trivial items, but in fear of being seen as a 'Old Maou' Supporter, they kept their mouths shut. Luckily for them, the Evil Piece system was introduced and they didn't have to worry about fulfilling contacts themselves anymore.

But some high class devils, especially the young ones like Sona, still made contracts with humans. Dish Washing, Massages, Going on dates, etc. Sona can see why most high class devils hated contracts.

If it wasn't for the fact that she got to technically run her own school, Sona would have abandoned her pride and left Kuoh to Rias.

"Besides, wouldn't your guild be against you working with us. You know us being devil and all." said a stern voice behind Sona.

Normally Sona would punish anyone from her peerage for speaking with her permission in a formal setting but Tsubaki was a special case. Her Queen desperately needed to develop a mind of her own, instead of following her around like a lost puppy. She was second in command after all, it was a necessity.

"I'm not tied down to anyone, sexy librarian chick." Riku said, giving Tsubaki a wink, completely disregarding her look of annoyance, before turning his attention back to the chessboard.

"So you are a stray magician?" Sona said with an accusing tone, as her weariness of the blue-eyed boy started to develop again.

"Stray is a little too much, I like the term independent more." Riku said playfully countering Sona's move once more. "You can't really astray from something you were never a part of anyways."

"So who taught you magic then," Sona says with the accusing tone still there, only her face held disbelief this time. "Your father"

"Both my parents died when I was young," Riku says, his face as calm as it has been so far, completely unaffected by the fact that he just disclosed such personal information. "Nobody taught me anything."

"So you claim to be a self-taught magician, excuse me if I don't believe that."

"Why do you assume that I am a magician?" Riku questioned with a raised eyebrow. "I haven't used magic around you so what brought you to that conclusion."

"W-What? But you countered my spell."

"Yeah but who said it was magic."

"A Sacred Gear?" The Heiress questioned. With his magic power, Sona assumed he used a counter spell but if that wasn't the case then it had to be a Sacred Gear. It's the only advantage humans had.

"Close but not quite there." Riku said nonchalantly while waving a finger. "It's a special ability of sorts."

"Interesting!" Maybe she could convince him to join her peerage."

"So are you reconsidering my offer?" "Like I said before, your services aren't needed. But..." Sona summoned a blue chess piece into her hand. A pawn. "I'll accept your terms under one condition."

"I become a member of your peerage." Riku finished for her "Sorry but my freedom is not up for sale."

Sona let out a smirk "Don't think of it like that. It is like what you said before 'you scratch my back, I scratch yours'. Serve the Sitri House and you shall be rewarded handsomely."

Riku stared at Sitri King intensely with no emotion whatsoever. At first Sona thought he might lash out but after half a minute or so, he let out a small chuckle. "Okay. I'll join your Peerage."

"Really!?" That was easy.

"But not yet." There it is.

"Why not?" Tsubaki asked for her.

"Well I have to know what I'm getting myself into. You're a 3rd year, right Sitri-san" Sona nodded "Then I'll give you until the end of your high school years to convince me to join your peerage."

"Ar-Are you asking me to prove myself." How ridiculous! Why should she, a devil princess, have to prove herself to a human. It should be the other way around.

"Yup~!" Riku said cheerfully with an equally cheerful smile on his face. "Plus I think you'll have competition. Rumor has it, there's another devil king in this small town."

Any doubts Sona had all vanished. Riku become a member of Rias' peerage, under no circumstances would she allow that to happen. Rias was gifted with the best of the best thanks to her brother. While Serafall did offer Sona help with peerage gathering, she refused it, believing it to be unbecoming of a future leader. Rias took advantage of all Sirzechs offered her as she sat back watching her ridiculous anime until her brother called her up to help 'save' someone.

Now Rias has three peerage members in which Sona regrettably admits, have more potential than her entire peerage combined. And the worst thing is the Gremory King doesn't even try to exploit that potential, claiming that her family needs time to cope with their trauma. Oh how she'll regret those words when the Phenex House's patience reaches its peak.

If Riku was to join Rias' Peerage, he would be ruined by her incompetence. She could not allow that.

"Fine, I'll show you why joining the Sitri House is the best option for you." Sona said confidently. "You will never come to regret it."

"We'll see."

"Now that that's settled, why don't we finish up this game. It's getting late."

"Um, Kaichou," Tsubaki started bringing Sona's attention to her. "The game is finished. You got checkmate quite a while back."

When did that happen?

"You won and didn't even realize it." Riku said with mock hurt. "And here I thought I was a worthy opponent."

"I guess you need to work on your strategies."

"Or maybe I was holding back." Riku claimed with his tongue held out. After that Riku gained a bit of a serious look on his face. "Hey Sona-san, can I ask you for a favor."

"What is it?"

"Going by the typical stereotype knowledge, I'm guessing both of you read a lot. Mind if I borrow some books on magic, more specifically Devil Magic… you know, for research purposes."

- Next Morning – Riku -

"Home Sweet Home"

It's not much, just your typical three bedroom apartment, but it'll do until I'm rich enough for a mansion.

After l left Kuoh Academy last night, I came to this apartment I had reserved for myself. I didn't think I was going to get it this early but that was before I knew about the credits to money exchange. On that note, renting this place cost me a majority of the remaining credits in my possession.

After all that got settled, I went to sleep around midnight. Even if my body is that of a video game, I can still suffer from tiredness.

Now here I was, awake late in the morning, eating breakfast while looking at the books I had gotten from Sona.

She gave a total of three books. The first book was about the basics of devil magic. The other two were about elemental magic, water magic and ice magic. There was one more book on the pile about fire magic. This one I had gotten from the store using what few credits I had left.

Why Sona had given me extra books, well that's because I set her up. I wasn't planning on meeting Sona or any other devil until I entered Kuoh Academy, so she really caught me off guard. But that didn't mean I couldn't use it to my advantage.

With my stats (without any sort of enhancement), I am probably on par, if not, stronger than Sona, so when I double my stats with [Boost], that's a massacre in the making. So with my boosted speed, I showed Sona that I am a BAMF.

I even let out my [Personification of Mana] enhanced magic power to further emphasize my point. Thanks to the new tricks I learned from Orochi, it was easy to do so without revealing too much.

[Presence Concealment]

Your appearance and all traces of you will be hidden instantly

You can select specific parts of your presence that you wish to conceal

After that her dispositions were wariness and interest. Her wariness didn't bother me much because it went go over time, but her interest was all up for use.

Inviting me into her peerage was the most predictable thing she could've done. I obviously am never going to join, since I'll be taking over the world and all that, but that didn't mean I couldn't milk it for what it's worth. When I introduced the whole 'prove yourself until the end of your high school year thing', Sona's disposition immediately changed to insulted but after mentioning Rias, well, problem solved.

Rias and Sona's rivalry is definitely something I am going to have fun with.

By the way, Sona is crazy good at chess. None of the plans I had came close to working and to add insult to injury, she didn't even realize that she got a checkmate. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, this is the same girl who bet her marriage on a chess game. No worries, I'll get her back.

Anyways, let's move on to something more productive.

[Inventory: Saji Genshirou]

The body of the second year student appears on my table. He's unconscious… and bleeding all over my table. Why did I think this was a good idea, oh yeah, Vritra.

[Dragon Soul Eater]

ERROR!

Of course! Why did I think it would be that easy!? Explanation please.

The soul you are trying to absorb is sealed. Unseal it to use your skill.

So I can't absorb Vritra's soul because it is inside a Sacred Gear. But wasn't Ddraig soul in the Boosted Gear?

Yes, but your souls were already joined. All you had to do was devour his power.

So if I was to take Saji's absorption line and make it mine, that would be enough for me to use [Dragon Soul Eater].

Correct~!

Ok then make it happen.

Pardon Master.

Give me a mission, like kill Saji, that will offer Absorption line as a reward… or even better just make a skill that lets me take Sacred Gears.

I can't do that. It is out of my power.

What! How? You managed to create [Dragon Soul Eater] and that's a pretty OP skill.

Only because the system was all over the place. When it was like that the limiters were not functioning well and I was able to break the rules a little. But now the system is nice and stable so I can't help you Master.

That sucks! So what do I do now? It's not like I let Saji roam free after I declared him dead to Sona.

What if you used the Sacred Gear Extractor in the Fallen Angel's possession.

I… I forgot about that thing. That's the solution to all my problems. And to make matters better, I was planning on doing something about the other fallen angels in Kuoh before Rias got any ideas, might as well kill two crows (hehe, get it) with one stone.

Quest Gained: [Crow Infestation]

Objective: Handle the Fallen Angel situation in Kuoh Kuoh before someone else does.

Reward: EXP, 1000 Credits, Gacha Token, ?, ?

Bonus Objective: Acquire the Sacred Gear Extractor

Reward: EXP, 500 Credits, ?, ?, ?

…So now I get a mission. Shitty Game!

Since I'll be kicking fallen angel ass soon, I might as well get started with these magic books. So how does this work, I absorb the book with all it's knowledge? You read.

...Pardon? You read the book Master~!

So I have to read a grand total of about 3000 pages just for basic magic.

Yup~! I guess it's a good thing I watched The Flash.

Wow that is a lot of knowledge.

I opened up my left palm and a small flame appeared on my hand. If we're not counting my Red Dragon powers, this is my first time using actual magic and to be honest, it's pretty damn awesome. Those fallen angels won't know what hit them.

"Uhh… Hnn"

Speaking of fallen angels.

"Morning Sleepyhead"

Raynare got up from my couch, looking drowsy, with a blanket covering her body. She looked around the room trying to get her surroundings and once her eyes reached me, she immediately tensed up.

"YOU! Do you have any idea what you put me through? Is... Is that a body"

I barely pay her attention as I am focused on the flame on hand. "Breakfast in the microwave if you're hungry."

"B-Breakfast!?" A tick mark for on Raynare "I'm not accepting shit from you. For all I know, it could be poisoned."

"Don't be an idiot. If I wanted you dead, you'd be dead. I thought that was obvious."

"Well excuse me for not trusting my kidnapper." The fallen angel then removed the blanket protecting her modesty, to my enjoyment. "And since you want to be so generous, why don't you get me clothes." She said in a haughty tone. Has she already forgotten her situation.

"I got you, on your left." I motioned my head at the kitchen countertop where there was a white shopping bag.

Raynare looks at me with suspicion before making her way to the bag. Once she reached her destination, she gave me a quick glance and opened up the bag. She then looked inside the bag and quickly her face lit up red, whether it's from embarrassment or anger, I don't know.

Raynare took out the content in the bag to show it to me. "This is what you expect me to wear! Are you fucking kidding me!"

What she held was a really skimpy maid outfit. Bought it at the same store I got the aphrodisiac.

"Yeah. What's wrong?"

"W-What's wrong!' Raynare stuttered in shock "What the fuck made you think I would be ok with this!?"

I look at her incredulously, "First off, I don't need your opinion and aren't you the same chick who was ok with wearing an SM outfit that barely covered shit in public."

"Th-That's different." Raynare cried out with a blush

"Nothing's different." I deadpanned "And if you ask, this outfit is an upgrade." "Oh yeah! Here's what I think about your upgrade!"

She threw the maid outfit up into the air and summoned a light-spear to cut it up, I think, but as the outfit descended, she paused. She remained like that for a little while which had me curious.

"Ray-Ray, you okay?"

She muttered something but it was so low I didn't hear anything, "Mind repeating that."

She looked up and stared at me, her eyes filled with glee. "I said, my powers are back, you imbecile" She cried out, twirling the light spear in her hand.

Oh! Now that I think about it, I haven't used [Syphoning] on her in a long time.

"Now you die!" She then threw her light spear straight at me. Seeing this as an opportunity to test out my new skills, I summoned an ice barrier to block her spear. Both constructs shattered upon impact.

"Not bad!" I just leveled up my [Ice Magic Mastery] twice with that one action

"Damn you!" Raynare summoned two light spears in each of her hands. Each of the spears held more power than the one she threw at me previously, I could tell by the way they were pulsating with power. I respond in kind by summoning another ice barrier, only this one was enhanced by a [Boost].

When both the light spears made contact with my barrier, they did nothing but leave a small crack. This frustrated Raynare into summoning more and more spears. After her twelfth light spear, she finally broke down the ice barrier, but was out of breath afterwards. Me on the other hand still had a shit ton of MP and had just earned six new levels for Ice. Maybe I should try and level up another type of magic.

"My turn." I said as a ball of fire appeared on my hands… and as quickly as I summoned it, I snuffed it out. I just remembered I live here and I also don't want mass murder through fire. Too troublesome! "Can we fight somewhere else?"

"W-Wha–" The fallen angel looked at me with confusion for a second before she quickly became enraged and charged at me with a light spear in hand. Can she not make anything else.

Watching Raynare charging at me made me realize how much stronger I am than her. When I focused, it seemed like she was moving in slow motion. I grab her light spear and hold it in place.

"L-Let g-go." Raynare tried to pull her spear from my grasp but all her attempts were futile.

I grab her face and force her to look me in the eyes. "Why don't you be more cooperative Ray-Ray because honestly–"

"W-W-Who–W-What are-y-you!?" Raynare stuttered, her fear evident. All the bravado she held previously was gone.

"Me! I'm your average badass."

"Wh-What do you need from me?" That's a question she should have asked a long time ago.

"Right now, you're a test dummy." I place my hand on top of her head and activate [Mind Compulsion].

ERROR!

Why is nothing going my way today!?

Her resistance is way too high for this skill to take effect. You need a stronger skill or you need to upgrade this skill.

If you say so!

[Boost: Mind Compulsion]

Raynare gains this blank look in her eyes. I guess it worked. Let's test it out.

"You will devote your entire being to me, mind, body and soul." I demanded influencing the [Mind Compulsion].

"No-No, A-Azazel-sama."

Seriously! What the fuck!

In case you forgot Master, [Mind Compulsion] is a common supernatural spell, it is effective on ordinary humans, but on anyone else it becomes very troublesome. Commands like those are far beyond its power, even with the Red Dragon's power.

So it's pretty much useless on Raynare! Not completely, just give her commands that are simple enough to be imprinted.

"You will not leave this apartment unless I say otherwise. No escape attempts, no assassination attempts, no destruction of property, just be an obedient maid. Is that simple enough."

Raynare didn't say a thing. She just walked over to the maid outfit on the floor and dressed herself. I would have liked to say I enjoyed the sight but she was moving too robotically to be of any enjoyment. After that, she faced me and said, "What now? You want me to cook and clean for you?". I chuckled at her sarcastic tone. It's funny how she quickly recovered her arrogance.

"Nah for… learning purposes, I handle all that myself. For now I need you to teach me how to use light magic."

Raynare blinked in surprise. "Y-You want me to… teach you?"

"Yeah, that's what I said."

"…What exactly do you want me to teach you?"

"I-I thought I… Light magic. How to make light spears and all that."

Raynare looked conflicted for a moment, before she summoned a light spear in her hand. "There really isn't anything to teach. You just condense the light in your body and externalize it."

That's pretty simple. "So can you form only spears or…"

"Um… y-ye-yeah." Raynare said… unsurely "it's possible to create other things… I think."

"Y-You think, have you ever tried to make anything other than a light spear?" I cried out incredulously.

Raynare blushed before she cried out waving her arms "Spears are the easiest weapons to use… plus they're the most popular amongst fallen angels."

I sighed. Trends are a thing, even in the supernatural community. I recall Raynare's previous statement. Condense and Externalize.

In my hand a sword of light appeared, it was beautiful pale blue, so pale if not looking close enough, it can be confused for white. I then changed it into a spear, then a dagger, then a bow and so on until I noticed my MP was getting dangerously low and stopped all together, my light dissipating.

I turned my attention back to Raynare, only to find complete shock on her face. "S-so pure. How is your light so pure."

Pure? I would have questioned her more on the subject but then there was a ringing sound which caught my attention. It was coming from my pocket, my phone.

I took it out to see I was getting a call from… Orochi? When did I save her in my contacts? "When did you get my number?"

[I told you I would be contacting you soon. How did you expect me to do it?]

"I don't know, magic? And you didn't answer my question."

[I messed around while you were taking a nap yesterday. Now moving on to more important things, I've handled things at Kuoh Academy, you expected at school, next Sunday.]

"Awesome!"

[I'm glad you think so but there's a bit of a… complication. I handled the situation with your school uniforms and supplies for you.]

"I… don't see how that's complicated. Where do I pick it all up."

[That's where the complication begins. There is someone who wants to deliver the items to you but he wants to meet you in the plaza.]

Then how is that a delivery? "Who is this person? What does he look like?"

[...you'll know. I'm sending a message of the location of your meeting place now.]

"Wait, what do you mean I'll know. Who is this-and she hung up on me?" I look at my messages to see the location of a cafe in Kuoh plaza. Once I got the location down, a marker appeared on my [Minimap].

"Who was that?" Raynare asked.

"No one. Hey listen, I have to go somewhere so…"

"Wait you're leaving me here. What the hell am I supposed to do."

"I don't know, watch TV." A perverted smile crawled onto my face. "Unless you want to…"

"No no, I'll watch TV." Raynare quickly interrupted me, stopping me from continuing.

Whatever! Her loss!

- Later -

"H-Hello, welcome to the Sakura Maid Cafe, how may I assist you today" greeted a cute girl in a pink maid outfit, sporting a healthy blush on her face.

"Oh, don't worry I don't need anything right… now..."

HOLY FUCKING SHIT

Sitting in a booth in the far corner of the small building was a goliath of a man. Seriously, this dude was massive. If I had to guess his height, he is definitely above 7ft.

He had a small mane of pure white snow-like hair. His eyes were a piercing neon orange color, they are actually kind of beautiful, which contrasts the rest of his person. Not only was he tall but his body was made up of pure muscle. He practically pulsated with unbridled physical strength. The suit he had on did nothing to hide anything.

"Crazy right!" The cafe girl said snapping me out of my thoughts. "I know people like him are rare, especially in Japan, but don't you think it's rude to stare."

"Normally that would be the case, but I think I'm supposed to meet up with this guy." The… beast man was glaring at me, though it wasn't out of any malice, rather it was the opposite, he seemed excited to see me. On the table in his booth were a bunch of bags which I'm guessing held all my school stuff.

"W-what really!" The cafe girl exclaimed. "Don't let me interrupt you then. Can I get you anything."

"You pick for me. Nothing too expensive please." I said nonchalantly before leaving the girl to go do her job. I then walked up to the booth, grabbing a chair along the way because there is no way I was going to fit in the same booth with that man.

Once I got to my destination, I sat on my chair and asked the obvious question. "Are you the guy Orochi sent me to meet?"

"Ahh… so my instincts were right. You are the Yaegaki kid. Heard you were looking for me yesterday." The man said with a deep gruff voice.

Reiji of the White Fang

Level ?

Leader of the White Fang, White Tiger Reiji

Race: ?

Disposition: Amused by you

Ohhhhh shit! Amused!? What the hell did I do that's funny.

"Yeah I was." I said quickly "but I got my situation handled, so it was all good in the end."

"Yeah Orochi told me the details. I wished I was there to help but you know a man has needs… but I'm here today." Reiji then pointed to the bags on the table. "And I got your stuff."

"Right thanks for that." I said grabbing the bags and getting a look at the content inside. There were different types of clothing, all with the Kuoh Academy emblem. There was also a school bag.

"I didn't call you all the way over here for just this." Reiji said straight up, as his facial features tightened up a little. "How about me and you have a nice little chat."

All the logic I have is telling me to get as far as I can from this dude. "Yeah, I got my shit man, so I'm just going to head out–"

[Danger Detected]

Fuck!

"Kid you have information you're not supposed to have." Reiji started in a low, dangerous tone. "Now ending you would be the easiest way to go about this, but I believe me and you can come to a… mutual agreement. So why don't we talk."

Me and Reiji have a little staring match. Scratch little, this shit was intense. I could tell that Reiji was serious about his threat and he would and could come through with it, but fortunately for me, my traits make it easy for me to keep a facade of bravado. The stare off goes on for a little while before it is interrupted.

"I-I bought y-you a-a latte sir, I h-hope y-you like i-it." The cafe girl from earlier had bought me my beverage, though some of it was dropping to the floor. She was fidgeting, clearly from the tension between me and Reiji. Hell the whole cafe had their eyes on us now.

I broke away from Reiji's stare and gave the girl a nice calm smile and grabbed my drink before she spilled anymore. "Thanks. I appreciate it."

That's all it took to calm her down as a bright smile accompanied by a blush, appeared on her face. "You-You're welcome. Sorry about the mess. I'll clean it up." She said quickly before running off.

Reiji chuckled as he stared at the backside of the retreating girl. All the tension from before was pretty much now gone. "Cutie, isn't she. Not a bad body too."

"Aren't you too old to be showing that kind of interest." I pointed out looking at his white hair "For your information, I was born with this hair." Wow! Tough genetics "And true passion can not be limited by numbers."

"Spoken like a true pervert."

The white haired man let out a boisterous laugh. Hell the laugh was attracting more attention than our previous confrontation. "I like you brat, but we're getting off topic here. I got a few questions for you. You're going to answer them."

I take a sip of my latte. He really isn't giving me choice here. "Sure whatever."

"How do you know about me and my little… operation. We try to keep ourselves under the wraps, especially from your kind, so you really got me curious."

He really doesn't seem like a stealthy kind of guy to me. "I know a guy, who knows a guy, who knows another guy, who also knows ano–"

Reiji slams his huge fist on the table. "Stop with jokes, brat."

I gave Reiji a sharp look "I'm serious. I got contacts."

So not true. From one of my memories, just before I entered this body, I robbed one of his guys, who happened to have a big mouth.

Reiji gave me a sharp look of his own before he asked his next question. "What business do you have in Kuoh Academy."

"Why should you care?"

Reiji doesn't answer for a while and then suddenly he lets out a sigh and says, "I know your mother, Cleria, we go way back. I can see a little of her in you."

I… was not expecting that. Normally I would have thought of this guy as an old acquaintance of Cleria but from the moment he mentioned her name,

Disposition: Rage

There's definitely a past there. I can't even tell the dude's mad, that's a serious poker face right there.

"Ok you know my mumsy, so what?"

The sharp look returned onto Reiji's face. "Your mom and this town have a history, don't know if you're aware."

"I'm aware."

"So let me ask again, Belial, what business do you have in Kuoh?"

Now that I think about it, why am I in Kuoh? What I mean is, this world is almost a carbon copy of my old one. Why not go somewhere I'm more familiar with to start my world conquest. Why not go home. Assuming my hometown even exists here, it was quite small. And even if it somehow does exist, why go there, it's not like remember anyone, plus I'm not… that guy anymore. It's better to be here in Kuoh where I know what to expect, plus this is where it all begins.

"This is my home" I answered "I was born here. I want to be here."

Reiji stayed quiet for a bit, studying my features, before that really annoying laugh of his came out. "I knew I liked you Belial brat. Did you know Kuoh used to be my home too, before your mom came along."

Is that why he hates her so much. "I smell a story. Please do tell."

"Oh, I thought you would have guessed right by now." The leader of the White Fang said. "Japan is Yokai territory, all except this little town. You see, some time ago, The Emperor (Note extreme sarcasm), Diehauser Belial, saved a Kyoto princess from certain death by a group of terrorists. A Yokai elder, who ruled over the Yokai at the time, thanked the devil for saving his daughter, the princess, by granting the devil some territory in Japan for contracts. MY territory." He finished with a little shout, banging his fist on the table at the end. He took a deep breath and then said, "Diehauser then gave that away territory as a gift to his cousin, your mother."

"So… what did you do?"

"Nothing at first." Reiji sighed as he scratched his head. "Things were fine then. The Kuoh Yokai stayed. We ignored Cleria, she ignored us and things were like that for a while, but soon friends and family started making their way to Kuoh and with them came Evil Pieces… and a whole lot of problems. Like the amazing leader I am, I offered to make an official statement with Cleria in order to bring peace but… there was an incident and the current leader of the Yokai, recalled all the Yokai in Kouh back to Kyoto.

An incident!? "What the hell did your guys do!?"

"Hmm? Oh no, you're mistaken!" Reiji said quickly "The incident didn't involve Kuoh or its inhabitants, there was a Devil-Yokai confrontation in the underworld which brought any relations between us to an all time low. After that incident, we were forced to retreat."

"Just like that?" I questioned, I thought they would put up more of a fight.

"Hey, Yokai can be civil. We're not complete animals." Reiji said with a loud chuckle.

"So how come you're back?"

"After things calmed down, I gathered a crew of those who were loyal to the town of Kuoh and we… discreetly made our way back… but unfortunately Cleria was gone and the ones who held ownership of Kuoh were… problematic. That's why I'm curious as to how you know ab-"

"Wait a minute!" I said quickly, interrupting Reiji's little rant. I just realized something. "You can't run things like you did before because a gang of Yokai in Kuoh might be interpreted as a threat and Gremory and Sitri's overpowered, overprotective siblings would react negatively. That's why you need me. You want me to enter Kuoh, as an inside man."

"Pretty much, so what do you say." Reiji said as he let out his hand for a handshake to confirm the deal. "I sent in one of my guys before but he was snuffed by one of the devils. Probably a former Yokai with sharp senses. Their kind is rare."

He doesn't know about Koneko, but I thought that incident he mentioned earlier might have something to do with Kuroka. So what to do now. If I work with this guy, I would be gaining help and allies which is good, but on the other hand, I feel like I might get backstabbed. He is technically throwing me to the dogs. But if I play my cards right, I could snatch Kuoh, along with his gang from under his nose. Let me just go with his flow for now… at least, until I'm strong enough to fuck shit up.

I gave Reiji a firm grasp and said, "All right. Let's do it."

An ear to ear grin formed on his face. "Atta boy Belial. For now I want you to gain the trust of the devils, we'll start from there."

"Already on it." How true that is.

"Good, Good. Now that we've settled all that out, let's move onto a more interesting topic." Reiji's face got really close to mine, which was creeping me out a little. Especially with that weird smile on his face. "Tell me which one you prefer more, Butts or Breasts."

That's… a really tough question!

- Issei -

4 days ago, Issei's life completely changed. One moment he's an ordinary human boy on a date and now he's the newly reincarnated devil servant of Rias Gremory.

It all began when he was murdered by his girlfriend… well what he thought to be his girlfriend. She obviously wasn't, what kind of man would ever be unlucky enough to be murdered by their love.

- Riku -

Ah choo~*

D-did I just sneeze. Am I sick? Is that even possible with this body!?

- Issei -

The day after the murder, Issei found himself at home, perfectly intact, no sign of damage at all. At first he thought he was going mad, he would have blown the whole thing off as a dream but the whole thing felt too real plus days had actually passed.

The reality of his situation was confirmed when his mother asked him how his date was and when he got home. This only left Issei in more confusion, what had happened last night, what was Yuuma and was he somehow immortal.

Issei soon realized that pondering over Yuuma would only lead to more confusion so he sat down, ate his breakfast and told his parents everything was okay. It was... okay, everything was… normal.

That normality didn't last long. There was a knock on the door and the person who was there was someone Issei would never have expected at his house, not in a million years.

Yumi Kiba, the pristine Princess of Kuoh, the Unofficial Leader of the Kendo Club, one of Kuoh's Top 5, the number one enemy of the Perverted Trio. And she was there to walk with him to school.

Issei couldn't tell if he was that was a dream come true or a nightmare come true. One hand, Yumi has great oppai and on the other hand, she HATES Issei with a passion.

The walk to was an uncomfortable silence, well at least for Issei. Once they reached their destination they were greeted with comments of disbelief, most of them were insults thrown at Issei.

That bastard even had the audacity of calling out Issei for stealing one of his girls. Of course Yumi set him straight, as usual.

Yumi and Issei had different homeroom classes so before they went their separate ways, Yumi told Issei that she would pick him up after classes and take him to the Occult Research Club.

That's when shit got weird.

At first it seemed like a glorious dream. When he got into ORC he was in the presence of 3 of the Top 5 and the unofficial mascot of Kuoh Academy. It was perfect!! Until wings started popping out of everyone's backs… including his own.

A quick explanation told him he was reincarnated as a devil servant because a fallen angel had killed him because of his Sacred Gear.

This freaked Issei out. He wasn't quite religious himself but he knew this boy who was when he was younger so he kind of knew that devils were the bad guys but… a harem. People who allow harems can't be that bad. Right?

With his dream of becoming a Harem King now possible, Issei set out on a journey to become a high class devil and so far… it has been quite the disappointment.

He can't use magic to save his own life, his fighting skills suck to the point where he got beat up by a girl half his size and… let's just say Issei will never attempt to wield a sword ever again.

And to make matters worse, Issei has to do his contacts on a bike because he is too weak to use a Teleportation Circle. Something children can do. How embarrassing.

And if Issei didn't have enough problems, he got attacked by a blue haired fallen angel last night. She was furious, almost ripped him to pieces while questioning him about her friend, Ra.. Ray… Ray-something.

If it wasn't for him summoning his Sacred Gear, a weird looking red gauntlet, and buying time for Rias to come, Issei would have for sure died again yesterday. But that didn't mean he didn't come out unscathed.

Even with the amazing method his master used to heal him, Issei's was still incredibly damaged.

Before she left Rias said she would excuse Issei from school for the rest of the week so he could heal up. With this free time, Issei decided to go out for a jog.

Don't judge. You know what they say, no pain no gain!

What he didn't expect was to run into a familiar face.

"Butts or Breasts." The black haired boy muttered to himself. "I know I said breasts but now that I think about it, I like butts more. They somehow just seem more… interesting."

"Blasphemy!!" Issei cried out in outrage, his face looked like someone had just slapped his mother in front of him. "Tits are the way, tits are life. There's now way ass can ever compete."

"Hmm oh it's you, Issei-san." The boy, Riku, if he remembered correctly, said with a look of shock on his face. "Didn't expect to see you again so soon. How are the missises?"

Missises? "We... broke up."

"I wasn't talking about her Issei-san," Riku said with a deadpan. "Note the plural."

"Wait, what?"

'How does he know about Buchou and the others' Issei thought in surprise.

"Forget about it." Riku said, waving off Issei's confusion. "So tell me, what the hell happened to you?" He said, pointing at the bandages on Issei's neck and chest.

"I… was.. attacked." Issei said unsurely. This guy was just a human after all. "I was accused of something I didn't commit. This is why I'm not in school right now."

"Really?" The blue eyed questioned. He didn't look surprised or curious at all.

"Wait!" Issei realized something. "Shouldn't you be in school right now? You look around my age."

"Oh I'm going to Kuoh Academy next week." He then brought the bags up so Issei could get a closer look. "I just finished my school shopping."

"WHAT!?" Another pretty boy at Kuoh, isn't that bastard already enough. "Anyways I should get going now, busy day."

Issei realized that Riku was now walking away from him. "Wait!"

"Hmm what now?" Riku stopped and turned his head to face Issei. "You haven't seen my… ex around anywhere, right?"

Issei questioned. "That hot chick, nah I…."

Suddenly Riku came to a pause and dropped his bags. It seemed like he was mesmerised by something behind Issei.

"Um Riku-san, are you okay?" Issei turned around to see what had caused that reaction and he found… a super cute girl.

Young, blonde-haired, and green-eyed, a total score and she clearly was lost and out of place. While Issei admits she brings out a reaction, he found what Riku was doing weird. He was so smooth with Maruyama, what happened to that?

Does he have a blonde fetish?

Fuck! How can a petite blonde cause such a reaction!? Suddenly my head started to feel numb. My vision started to become blurry.

Don't worry Master, I'll handle this.

My vision started to darken. I was losing myself more and more and soon the darkness overtook me.

Zero gave me a really shitty game!

– Bonus Scene – The Unlucky Kings -

"I don't know what to do Sona, he's not good at anything at all. At this rate, I'm worried if he'll survive a Rating Game."

Both kings of Kuoh were in the Student Council room playing a game of chess. It was a free period for the both of them and Rias decided she needed some of Sona's guidance.

"What about his Sacred Gear." Sona questioned

"It6s called Twice Critical. It doubles his power once." Rias then sighed "but there isn't much to be doubled."

"How unfortunate." Sona said as she pushed up her glasses. "The same can be said for me too. I seem to have hit a snag in my plans."

"Oh yes, I heard Saji Genshirou has just been declared dead. Tough break Sona"

"It would be, but from that I managed to find someone better."

"Really!?" The Gremory Heiress as her eyes twinkled "Who?"

Sona sighed. There was really no point in hiding anything. "Tsubaki if you would."

The only other occupant in the room got up from her desk and made her way to the Kings. Along the way she picked up a binder on her master's desk which she then handed to Rias.

Rias read through the papers in the binder. "Riku Yaegaki. From Excel Academy, excellent grades, an amazing athlete… anger issues. So another Motoyasu."

"He's also a magician." Added Sona.

"Like I said, Motoyasu."

"A skilled magician." Sona corrected herself "He countered a Mid-Rank spell and caught me off guard. And that bit was without magic."

The twinkle in Rias' came back, only brighter this time. "So why are you telling this. Don't tell me you want more favours. Isn't three enough for you."

"It's not that, trust me." Sona said, waving off Rias' accusations. "I'm telling you this because… well you'll see soon enough."

Author's note

What the hell did Asia do to Riku? Fill in the blanks, Riku is a Dragon (kind of), Asia is a _

Reiji and Riku have made a alliance against Rias and Sona but neither of them are going stay true to it. So the question who's gonna backstab who first?
