Note: This is an adaptation of the story "I Love You and I'm Sorry" by Jerry236 of Fanfiction. I really loved his Ty Lee X Zuko story and wanted to write my own. I am giving credit to Jerry236 for the idea and I am almost word for word going to capture the same events as the first couple chapters of that story. Then I will a change it up a bit... This is kinda a fanfiction of a fanfiction.

Ch.1

Zuko was resting by a tree in the garden near his home. He was watching a lake that was home to cute little turtle-ducks. He had been staring intently a while back, but it seems like the turtle-ducks were not going to be around today. He sighed and leaned back against the tree putting his hands behind his head and closed his eyes and started to think about his life.

Zuko was a normal and average boy living in the fire nation... Or at least he thought so. In reality he wasn't that average at all, but any normal ten year old might not know the difference. In reality he was of the royal lineage. His mother was Princess Ursa, a kind and loving mother. His father was Prince Ozai, a potential candidate for Fire Lord, and his father disliked him. His father preferred Zuko's younger sister, Azula. Unlike Zuko, Azula was a born prodigy, naturally gifted in the arts of firebending and adept at learning. She was always getting praise while Zuko was often criticized. And it was for that very reason that Zuko lay and thought under the tree's shade on a windy lonesome day.

"Hey Zuko!"

Zuko opened his eyes wide and nearly fell over onto his side at the sudden voice, as he had not expected to be disturbed and taken out of his thoughts. His view shifted so see a girl dressed in a cute pink outfit. Ty Lee. She was kneeling directly beside him. So close! She had gotten so close to him without him noticing? How was that even possible?

Ty Lee's mouth had been in the shape of an O when Zuko had nearly fell but now she was smiling at him. If Zuko didn't know better he would have thought of her as cute, but there was no way he could call her that now. She was a friend of his sister, and his sister and her friends loved to gang up on and bully Zuko with pranks and taunting.

Zuko put on a frown as he got up and asked "What do you want Ty Lee?"

Ty Lee giggled and smiled as she stood up next to Zuko "Nothing really. I was just checking on you and seeing what you were doing. hehe"

Zuko looked away and around the area. This had to be some type of trap. There was no way she actually wanted to see how he was doing. Even so Ty Lee seemed to be persistent for an answer so Zuko replied "I was just sitting under this tree to relax and think a bit, alright?"

Ty Lee tilted her head to the side a bit before saying "Oh... Well can I join you?"

Zuko looked around more until He heard Ty Lee asking "What are you doing? You okay?"

Zuko turned towards Ty Lee and decided he didn't want to be pranked today so he asked "Why would you want to join me? Huh? This is Azula's idea isn't it? You can here to pull a prank on me!"

Ty Lee took a step back and waved her hands to signify that he was wrong "N-No... It's nothing like that... Azula is busy being tutored by Princess Ursa... I just wanted to spend some time outside is all... And see what you were up to."

Zuko took a minute to consider and then finally relented "Fine. You can sit by me... Just as long as you don't bug me or anything."

Ty Lee smiled and clasped her hands together "Yay!"

Zuko slowly sat back down and Ty Lee followed suit and sat next to him. He closed his eyes and breathed in and out. He wondered how long until Azula showed up. Ty Lee couldn't really be interested in being... Friends? Could she? Up until this point Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee had always just ganged up on him and tried to bully him. It was so out of character for one of them to show a genuine interest in him that he felt for sure this must be a trap.

Zuko breathed in and out for a few second until he felt something soft bump into his side. What? He opened his eyes to see Ty Lee very close to him. She had her eyes closed and her shoulder had bumped up against his. Was she sleeping?

Zuko decided to find out "Ty Lee? Y-You're too close to me..."

But Ty Lee didn't budge. If she was awake she wasn't making it known to Zuko. He suddenly felt very aware that she was asleep and pressing against him so he kind of moved his arm. She didn't budge. He moved more and then! Ty Lee started to move... But she didn't wake up yet. She slid down Zuko's side and onto his lap until she finally opened her eyes and looked up at Zuko.

Ty Lee started to get up and rub her eyes but Zuko felt a slight burning in his cheeks.

Zuko repositioned himself a bit away from Ty Lee as she sat back up, but she soon had scooted closer to him.

Zuko wasn't used to a girl being so close to him so he said "You're too close to me, Ty Lee"

Ty Lee tilted her head and looked at him with her big eyes and asked "But you said I could join you?"

Zuko inched away and nervously said "But you don't have to be so close to me!" It's not like we're..."

Ty Lee inched closer looking at Zuko and asked "We're not what?"

Zuko felt his cheeks burn again as he finally had enough and stood up saying "N-Nothing!"

As Ty Lee looked up at Zuko he said "You know what? Nevermind... I'm going to go do something... Manly! Or something"

And Zuko walked off leaving Ty Lee alone sitting near the tree.

"Aw" Ty Lee pouted as she watched Zuko leave.

Zuko went up to go indoors, and saw his mother Princess Ursa and his sister Azula heading outside.

As he walked past them Azula gave a smirk and his mother asked "Zuko? Is everything okay? Your face is red?"

Before Azula could say anything Zuko said "Girls are weird!" and ran off to his room feeling embarrassed.
