Barry ran for a while, relieved but as well sad about what happened. He just left flashpoint and, in the process, he caused his mother's death which would lead to his father's. It was his own choice, eventhough the price to pay was unbearable, he couldn't stand losing all his precious memories. He felt like a weight was standing on his shoulders. A very heavy weight, like the one Atlas has to carry in greec mythology.

It was very difficult for the superhero to reintegrate the course of his life, the one he used to live three months ago. Some details, however, made the speedster confused. He understood very well that he missed three months in his life, but in this time, not that much could change, right ?

That was when Batty learned that creating a parallel dimension in order to liver there for a few months and then coming back in the real dimension, it wasn't exactly without consequences whether it was for people he knew or unknown people.

Cisco's brother, for instance, happened to be dead, which caused a huge fight between the two best friends. Joe and Iris didn't seem to agree on anything anymore. Even John Diggle's daughter was affected and became a son. And it wasn't all of it.

Barry blamed himself a lot. It was because of him all those changes, if some people have to live without another or if their life were not as great as they used to be. The superhero did all of that.

He tried to avoid thinking about it, however it wasn't easy. Specially when he had to reveal what happened to his friends. The desappointement in their look, the hate in Cisco's, the lack of understanding... It broke his heart. He didn't want to fight with them when he clearly deserved the criticism he received from his friends. It's why the speedster just lowered his head.

It has been two weeks since Barry had revealed the truth to his team and nothing had changed between them.

Cisco still refused to look at Barry in the eyes, he did his best to avoid talking to the superhero and never stopped saying that the Flash's suit was his.

Iris wasn't doing anything in order to have a better relationship with her father and was waiting for Joe to do the first step. According to her, her dad hadn't reacted well and it was him who had to repair their relationship. She was too stubborn for Barry to make her change her mind.

Joe, in the other hand, wished more than anything to make up with his daughter, however he wanted it to be done together and not that one of them try to pick up the pieces. For him, to end this fight, a step was needeed both sides.

Might as well said the mood was tense at StarLab. The superhero had taken used to spend the least amount of time possible there and to work a bit more; that was without counting on Julian, his new unbearable coworker that Flashpoint scrounged for him.

In short, Barry was starting to miss his parallel dimension. Of course, he didn't know his friends there and they were all differents but at least all seemed so much easier, quieter, better, when Barry wasn't a part of their life that he almost thought about returning in the world where the speedster's mom and dad were alive.

With that in mind, the hero went to StarLab, prying not to arrived in the middle of a fight.

On the way there, he received a text from Iris which advised the speedster to come as fast as possible to the lab, for an emergency, apparently. Barry frowned. It couldn't be about meta-human since the team would have activate the alarm. Nevertheless, he could'nt think about anything else.

So, he went faster in order to get there as soon as he could and went into the huge building. He rushed to the centerpiece.

The superhero was expecting everything but that.

All of his friends were watching someone with surprises while Iris looked like she was talking with a long lost friend that she didn't see since ten years. Joe even hugged him !

When Caitlin saw Barry, she showed him at the stranger who turned around with a big smile.

The man had to be around Barry's age. He was wearing some expensives clothes. He measured the same height, had the same hair as well as a haircut which looked the same as Barry's, although there was hairspray in his. He had the same green eyes, the same jaw, the same build. Everything was the same. Just like a doppleganger.

The first thought Barry had was that Cisco tried an experiment in order to create doppleganger. After all, he always seemed to like doppleganger. However, the happiness the superhero could read on the stranger's face as well as what Joe and Iris felt proved that they knew this guy and that he should too. So, he tried his best not to show his confusion and smiled.

The stranger went closer and hugged him briefly.

"You seem disturb, Barry, is everything okay ?" He asked, worried.

The man didn't know what to answer. No one ever knew when he was trying to hide his feelings, even Iris, whith who he grew up, had some difficulties to identify what he felt.

Even more confused, he simply nodded. The stranger, clearly not convinced, threw him a worried and insisting look. However, Barry offered him a bigger smile that allowed his other friends to notice that something was wrong.

"He must be surprised to see you." Caitlin supposed, trying to save his friend from embarassment.

The person concerned raised his shoulders and turned around the team, with a smirk that didn't say anything good, thought Iris. However, before the stranger could say anything, Cisco started to get angry.

"Of course. After all, his twin brother we didn't know about just come at StarLab, knows who we are, Barry's secret identity, and I just almost throw him in jail, thinking that a meta-human could change his look and had found out Barry's secret. Didn't you think you could mention it to us ?Can you guess all the plots in which something bad could have happened just because we didn't know Sebastian existed ? Imagine we would have needed you when he came and that we insist that he goes and fights against meta-human, like you do ? We would have lost precious minutes and lives could have been lost. You, more than anyone else, should know how a few seconds can change evrythings."

Barry lowered his head, ashamed and a little bit disturbed. Twin brother ? He had a twin ? Sebastian, that's his name. He got a better one than he did, at least.

He wasn't aware of what Cisco said after that, too lost in his thought since he learned about this news which seemed to be true, according to Joe and Iris' reaction.

It was quiet for a while, in the lab. This silence was broken by the super hero's twin, after he saw the time on his watch.

"It's not all but I was just supposed to say hi, I've got some work waiting for me and the Warbler's team as well. I don't know which is worsed" Sebastian laughed. "I'm seeing you later at Joe's place ?" he asked, staring at Joe who nodded.

Sebastian smirked as he is use to before leaving StarLab.

Barry watched a few times before his shoulders to be sure that his "brother" was gone from the room. His friends frowned at his reaction.

"Tell me. Can any of you explain to me who that dude was, exactly ? I'm afraid I misunderstood all this."

Joe got closer to his adoptive son, worried, and checked if he didn't have any fever.

"Barry... Come on. I know you didn't see your twin since an eternity, but that isn't a reason to make such a lame joke."

The speedster, still confused, made a step backward, his heart beating stronger and stronger.

" An eternity, you say ? I've never seen this guy. Are you sure I have a twin ? Anyway, you are the one doing a bad joke right now. There is no way..." Barry needed to be sure of it. He rested his hand on his head and started talking to himself. "I've always been an only child, I always wanted to have a brother but this dream never came true. This "Sebastian"can't be of my family. There is no way that he can be my brother. No way at all. Okay ?" suddenly, Barry seemed to realise something and he asked Cisco, hoping very much that he would agree with him, for once. "Is it possible that a metahuman possess the ability to change form and, as well, to put some memories in someone's mind ?"

Cisco thought about this hypothesis for a few seconds then asked Caitlin. The former didn't seem to know what to respond while the other started speaking, having already thought about that possibility.

" Well, Barry. I don't really know what metahumen can or can't do, so I guess that one could eventually do so. However, I'm not sure that this is what happened. I mean, think, how could he knows who you are ? Who we are ? And how could he knows Joe and Iris are your family ? There is also the facts that Joe and Iris must have photos of both of you at their home and I don't understund how you did to miss them since you spend a lot of time there, but, anyway, that's not the subject."

Barry sat on the floor ans looked at the wall in front of him. He remembered every words that had been said since he arrived at StarLabs. He didn't even noticed Joe and his daughter coming closer to him to help him coping.

The man couldn't undersrand how he could just not know Sebastian's existence. He didn't understand at all.

He blinked a few times and, finaly, he spotted his adoptive father and his best friend at his side, united for the first time since flashpoint. He smiled a little at this.

Flashpoint... Flashpoint ! It must be the answer. It could not be anything else. Why didn't he think about it earlier ? He was so much disturbed that he forgot flashpoint for an instant, this dimension which gave him so much, which made him hope for the better to take it all and make it a nightmare. Now, it gave him a brother, a strange one but still. A brother.

Joe knew instantly that the superhero just understood what was going on. Barry looked at his adoptive father who was starring at him, wondering what could explain all this.

"Flash point brought me a twin. It's all I can think about" he said.

Caitlin seemed surprised, as wel as Iris who was remembering her childhood with the two boys, while Joe was overly tired about all this weird stuff that his family lived lately - he was way too old for that, nowadays. Cisco, however, wasn't only feeling the anger that didn't leave him at Barry's sight lately, it was mixed with so much jealousy, pure hatred for his best friend and a profound sorrow.

"You took me a brother and you, you get one. How is that fair ?" screamed the speedster's best friend, crying.

Barry couldn't move at his words. Cisco left StarLab as fast as he could, afraid of what he could do if he stayed there. The hero lowered his eyes, guilt being stronger than any other feelings. His friends moved forwards. Iris hugged him and whispered words in his ears to make him better. Joe supported him by putting his hand in his shoulder. Caitlin never ceased to swear that his best friend would forgive him, after a while. A few minutes later, they changed the subject.

"So... You don't know Bas, I guess ?" Iris wanted to be sure.

"Bas ? Oh, Sebastian. No, I've never seen him in my life. We seem to get along."-

"Of course, you get along !" exclaimed Joe. "When you were kids, I couldn't let you without the other one more than an hour, after that, you would make me go through hell." he smiled, nostalgic.

The Flash smiled a litlle.

A question bothered his mind but he didn't know whether to ask it or let it go. His three friends noticed his internal debate. Iris pushed him to say it.

" How did it go ? You know, after... mum" he asked, slowly.

Caitlin decided that it was time for her to let them discuss alone.

"Bye everyone. Barry, you should explain all of that to your brother" she ended before leaving quietly.

Barry would not tell Seb about it. It was out of the question. There was no way Barry would dare speak about it to his brother. The former could not take it well and to know that a few months before, that his twin, the one person he couldn't leave as a kid, just learned his existence... No, the superhero would not speak of it. He will act as if he always knew him with Iris and Joe's help. They will support him, he didn't doubt it. The speedster will ask for some tips later.

"To answer your last question, Barry, you were separated at the time of your mother's death. You were alone at home, this night, you brother was at a friend who could not let you both stay for the night. When he learned about your side of the story, he never doubted. Either that, or he just couldn't comrpehend why your dad would do something like that. Anyway, he defended you like no one did. However, you couldn't stay at the same home, I couldn't handle two new kids at my house for long. So, Seb insisted that you stayed with Iris and me, eventhough you didn't like the idea of your twin far away from you and with your uncle. You didn't see each other much, just for special events such as christmas and birthdays. But, you stayed closed, you called eachother almost everyday. You are very good friends. You don't have any secret for the other. He was the first to know of your abilities. I don't think I ever saw you fight and I don't think I ever will. Except if you stay quiet about flashpoint."

Barry was out of words. He never thought he could have such a beautiful relationship with his twin. He was proud of it, on one hand, but on the other, he blamed himself for not knowing about it. It was so hard.

"He definitely can't know that I had no brother until recently" paniced the hero.

He paced, stress growed stronger and stronger.

"He can't know that I didn't leave all that he did, that I don't have any memories of it at all."

Iris tried to calm him down.

"Barry, dad told you saw, together you can go through everything. He deserves to know. And how will you do to make him think everything is the same as it used to be ?"

"You will help me, won't you ? You will tell me everything you know, please."

Joe was exasperate of the man he loved as a son. He could really act stupidly sometimes.

"We don't know everything, Barry, the deception won't last long. He already noticed something was wrong."

"I still have to try. He doesn't deserve to go through all this. Please."

Iris and Joe looked at each other, desesperate, but nodded. Barry smiled, relieved.

"Okay, thank you. So, does what is he like ? You said he was living with my uncle, how did it go ? Did he see dad a lot ? What was their relationship ? What does he like ? What is his job ? Does he have a girlfriend ? There is so much I want to know. "

And the speedster went on and on, asking more and more questions without letting his family the time to answer. He was so eagered to learn about his brother. Joe smiled, amused of the boy's enthousiasm. It had been a while since he saw the man he thought as his son, so happy and... light, free if a burden he should not have to carry, for a while.

"Slower, Barry." Iris stopped him, glad to see her best friend like that, once again.

They decides Barry could ask questions just when the two others ended speaking about what they thought was the most important. The man learned his twin had lved in France for a few years before moving to Ohio where he went to Dalton in which he was leader of a glee club. The hero learned, as well, of their huge differences in their way of being while Joe shared some memories Sebastian was tougher, less naive and nice. He built a shell that he opened for only a few. He protected himself by saying some snides remarks and took it on people before they could do it to him, but, actually, he wasn't that awful. It sadded Barry, althoug he understood. He learned more, he knew so much he hoped for his memory would remember everything.

Barry spend all his afternoon at this, at StarLab, before going at Joe's place with the former and his daughter to see his brother. They arrived there and sat on the couch. they laughed together as if nothing had happened, the fight between Joe and Iris, totally forgotten. The father and the daughter realised they could have lost each other because of the flashpoint, it brought them together again.

Joe got up to get a drink, leaving the two best friends together.

"You know, Barry, I know what it feels to find out you have a brother. Although, it is not exactly the same as the Wally and I's situation. Well, if you ever need to talk, you know where to find me."

Barry smiled at her and nodded slowly, thankful. He was going to answer to her but the bell rang. He went as fast as he could to the door and opened it. Sebastian was standing in front of it. His twin made a smile even bigger than Barry's and hugged him before going inside.

"Hey Bas." Barry said, remembering that it was the surname he gave to his brother.

"Hey Bar." answered Sebastian.

They went to the living room where Joe and Iris were waiting for them. They sat on the couch and spoke about a lot of things. Barry succeeded perfectly to keep the deception. Iris and Joe rarely left the room at the same time so the brothers were never alone. However, they couldn't stop themself and they looked at the young man with a disapproving look.

The evening was going very well. Sebastian didn't seem to see through the deception, eventhough, sometimes, the memories the twins shared were mentionned. Luckily, Barry had lived some of them, either on his own or with someone elso, or his adoptive family told him about it, so the speedster wasn't lost.

It ended peacefully. Sebastian was going to leave to meet with the warblers. He asked Barry to come with him but he refused, a bit paniced. Seb seemed a bit desappointed at his brother's behaviour. The hero walked with him to the door. Barry, who liked his twin very much, smiled a him nicely and hugged him.

"It was really nice, come back whenever you wish to Bas."

Sebastian smiled a little at this words.

"What is wrong, Barry ? Do you have any flash issues ?" he whispered. "Or any trouble with Iris ?"

Barry frowned, disturbed. He didn't understant how his look alike could have known. Sebastian guessed his thoughts.

"You seemed kind of sad all the time, tonight. There was a little bit of nostalgia, as well, I think. You were not there, always being evasive, especially when we were talking about the past. Moreover, Joe and Iris were weird. Like really weird. They didn't behave like they usually do. I've noticed all the strange undiscret's look they were giving you. And, well, they always go away for a while to let us talk together, and that's when they don't let me sleep there ! Did you fight with Iris ? Did you, finally, told your "best friend" how you feel about her ? Or is something happening..."

The superhero could not stopped himsel, he jumped when Seb started talking about Iris. He knew about his feelings ? And then, it sruked him. Of course, he knew. They were very close. And, well, as Joe said, it was easy to guess...

Sebastian started to become annoyed.

"You see, Bar. You are weird. What the heck is going on here ?"

Because his twin didn't answer, he continued arguing.

"Bar... We always told each other everything. I know we grew up far from each other but I always thought that it made us stronger. That what we both lived made our relationship stronger than any other brothers. But, I could not handle the kilometers between us anymore. So, I planned everything as a surprised and I decided to move in Central City. That's why I did not call you nor send you any messages lately, I was doing all this stuff and I wanted to keep it a surprise. I guess, I should not have done it. I'm starting to regret doing it now that I see how distant you actually are. I guess that's why you were not searching to call me or anything else, I should have known something had changed." He sounded and looked so sad that it broke the speedster's heart.

"I don't know you." the words escaped Barry's mouth without he could even think about saying those.

It was not really the thing to say. Sebastian was clearly hurt and could explosed at any time. Barry corrected his word right away.

"Well, it's not really that I don't know you. Let's say that I am from an alternative dimension in which you don't exist"

It was not necesserly better.

"What the... ?"

Anger disappeared and confusion replaced it.

Barry asked him to sit again on the couch. Seb send a quick test to his friends to tell them he would come by later. Joe and Iris let them alone, eventhough they were clearly listening to them.

The Flash explained the last months he lived, especially the part where their mother was still alived.

When everything was told, Sebastian, who did not know how to react, just left, without a word. He joined his friends who were expecting him at a bar. Barry looked at him leaving. He knew he should not follow him, right now, it would only make things worst than they already were. He sighed, very sad for what his brother was going through because of his own actions.

Seb entered the bar. He didn't even look at the warblers and took the strongest drink. He drank a lot of glasses before remembering that he was with his friends. These looked very worried.

The warblers did not try to understand what was going on. They knew he just met with his brother, they were at Central City after all, so it must have something to do with it. Eventhough the two brothers rarely fight against each other, it had to be it. Sebastian was very grateful that his friends didn't ask questions, he wasn't in the mood to answer them.

Seb took his phone and saw so many messages from Barry. Some were full of apologies, others explained they could go through it and become close again. But Bas could not accept it. All his life, he worked hard for his brother, for him to have the best things, the best life he could. Everything he had, it was his brother. Everything ha had done, everything he lived for was for his brother. Yet, this man didn't know him, he did not even lived in this reality and all his actions never had any effect on his twin. And that angered him so much... And well, the worst was that Barry knew almost everything of this life, just not one of the most important person who was in it. It was unfair. So much unfair that the strong man almost cried.

Jeff noticed that and tried to distract the young man. The warblers were surprised at their leader's behaviour. He wasn't often sad, even less that much. It had to be a huge fight with Barry, which was weird as well since the twins did not have big fight.

Seb decided it was too much for one night and he had to live. He just sended a message to Barry, while he was still drunk enough to be brave about it. He wanted to see him for lunc, to talk about it all again.

The forensic saw it in the morning. His twin wanted a meeting at Jitter's.

They arrived right on time. Sebastian seemed a bit calmer while Barry was clearly worried.

They avoided the subject, they did not know how to bring it on so they talked about their day at work until Bas snapped.

"So, for you, I really do not exist at all, is that it ?"

"No..."

"But I have a life, an all and difficult life. I did stuff for you, I did stuff with you. Who was I with then? An other you that you erased from reality ? I don't understand Barry."

"I am really sorry Bas, I don't know how flashpoint works. I can't explain it. I can't give you the answer you are looking for, the answer you deserve more than anyone."

"It's not a problem, Bar." he finally said.

"You don't blame me ?" the Flash was surprised. "After yesterday, I thought..."

"I do blame you, but, actually, it's not your fault. You didn't decide, suddenly, that you should have a brother or not to have one before. Yesterday, I was chocked by what you told me. But I thought about it, a lot. I am still angry, I am still sad and I don't think that it will ever change but I forgive you Bar. It is not going to be easy at first, for both of us but I only want to find again what we shared. I do not want to lose you."

Barry smiled and nodded. He wished for the same things.

They left when it was time for them to work.

In the evening, Barry went to StarLab. Iris, Joe and Caitlin were already there. He explained to them how it went with Sebastian.

When Cisco walked in the room, everyone went quiet. Iris apologised and said Wally was expecting her as well as Joe while Caitlin had to do some metahumen tests/ Barry and Cisco were the only one to stay.

The superhero expected Cisco to start a fight, again. However, he didn't. He went closer to Barry and apologised.

"I am really sorry Barry, I was an ass. It's just... I miss my brother and to see you get one... Sorry."

Barry surprit, smiled gently at him. He could finally begin to forgive himself, for everyone's happiness.

A few months later, he even thought flashpoint wasn't that bad, in the end. It brought him a brother, an annoying and unperfect one but still the best brother he could ever ask for. Though, if Bas could stop his pranks and make the speedster help him doing them, he would not say no.

Barry now ran without any burden on his shoulders.

THE END

Hi, I hope you liked it. I am so sorry for all the mistakes, english is not my native language and well... I am not taking any beta's because I still don't understand how to do it...

I would like to thanks FlashCayCay for asking me to translate this story. I wanted to do it but I never had the motivation to actually do it and you gave it to me (eventhough it took me longer than I expected to). I also want to thank you because, well, while I translated the story, I actually make it a bit more realistic than it used to be (although, I'm not convinced it is that great ^^)

Thank you very much for reading.
