Elsa brings the dog to the castle physician who was also good at treating animals. She told Sven to go back to the stables. As the physician was treating the dog, it appeared that the dog didn't like the physician touching it, but when Elsa came to the dog to try to relax it, "You're okay, buddy," the queen said as she inches closer to it, "You're okay...". it relaxed and the physician took notice of it.

Slowly, it pushes its head into her hand until she pets it again. "That's a good boy... good dog". It growls softly when Elsa calls it a boy again. "Uh... good girl?" she tests. It starts wags its tail in response.

"It appears to have a liking to you, Your Majesty, where did you find her?" The physician asked. Elsa tells him that she found her in the woods, it was being attacked by two wolves and she saved it. The physician finished treating the dog and tells Elsa that the dog needs to stay in the room to be healed. Elsa understood and she attempts to leave the room, but the dog jumped off the examination chair and followed her.

"Hey, don't follow me, you should stay here and get rest." Elsa tells the dog, but the dog tilted her head, as if it was telling Elsa that she didn't understand what she was saying. Then, the physician spoke, "I think you should bring her with you, it also appears to have attached herself to you because well... you are the one who saved her, I think you should adopt her."

Elsa was surprised by what the physician said, "Are you sure I should do that?" Elsa asked the Physician. "I've been told that is makes you forget about the things that have happened in the past and make you think of the future. "The physician explains to the queen, so she listened and tells the dog to follow her.

As Elsa walks along the hallways of the castle, the dog followed, happy to go wherever she went. She didn't want to leave Elsa alone at all. Elsa stopped in front of the door of her room, she looked back at the dog, she noticed she was tired, "Are you tired girl?"

The dog lets out a friendly bark, Elsa takes it as a yes. The fifth spirit opens the door, and she and the dog enter the room, "You can sleep on my bed if you want to." Elsa tells the dog. The dog wags its tail and barks at her, softly. "I'll take that as a yes then." The dog climbed on Elsa's bed, but it just stood there, as if it was waiting for her to get on bed with it.

"You're not going to sleep unless I get on bed with you, are you?" The dog answers with a friendly bark. Elsa sighed, she smiled, she wasn't going to say no, especially to a cute dog. Elsa got on her bed and the dog laid on Elsa's lap.

Elsa waited for the dog to fall asleep, she petted the dog's fur. Her fur was soft like Sven's. Where did you come from, buddy? Elsa thought to herself. Do you even have a name, where are your family? These were the questions Elsa had about the dog. Elsa then notices that the dog was finally asleep, she then gets the dog off her lap and goes to stand in the balcony.

She looked at the morning sky, the white clouds slowly making their way across the blue sky, the birds flying from other directions. Suddenly, she hears the door behind her open, she turns to see Kristoff and Olaf entering her room.

"We came to see the dog you saved!" Olaf cried out, Elsa tells him to lower his voice and points to the sleeping dog. Olaf asks the queen if the dog has a name, and Elsa tells him that she doesn't have a name for her yet.

"Her? So, it's a girl... well, according to the books I read, people name their dogs after their favorite things." Olaf states. Kristoff thinks that finding out its favorite thing won't be hard. Kristoff then asks Elsa if she made it to Pabbie before she found the dog, Elsa shook her head and tells him that she saved the dog and decided to get it treated for its injuries. "And ever since I saver her, she won't leave my side."

"Well, she's grateful that you saved her." Olaf tells her, Kristoff then talks to Elsa, he tells her that he was going to join her to talk to Pabbie about the nightmare that they thought was no more. "Maybe we still haven't moved on. That's why we are still having them." Kristoff tells her, Elsa agrees to it, but she still wants to speak to Pabbie.

"Let's head of at nighttime. The staff and others won't know you and I are gone."

Elsa agreed.

When nighttime came to Arendelle, Elsa peeked out of her door to examine if there were someone there, she sees there are none, but before she could leave the room. The dog suddenly barks at her.

"Shh, they'll hear you." Elsa tells the dog, it looks at her with confusion as if it was wondering where she was going. "I'm going to see a friend, please don't follow me." Elsa ordered the dog. As she silently walked through the hallways, the dog begins following her, annoying Elsa. "I told you to not follow me." Elsa whispered, but the dog hugged around her legs.

Elsa sighs, "If you're going to follow me, you have to be silent, alright." As she said that, she produces a small amount of snowflakes that the dog notices and begin to excite over it, trying to catch it with its tongue.

"You like my snowflakes!" Elsa realized and then had an idea, as she try to sneak out of the castle as the dog followed her, she would have to produce snowflakes on the way out. She made it to the castle doors and silently closed the doors behind her as the dog followed.

She then saw Kristoff had arrived with Olaf and Sven and the sled, he was surprised that the dog was there, "She can't stop following you can't she?" Kristoff said, "She's attached to me." Elsa tells him. She then tells Kristoff and Olaf that she found out the dog likes her snowflakes, "Snowflakes huh... How about Snow?" Olaf thought out.

He jumped out of the sled and hugged the dog, "Do you like that name, do you want to be called Snow?" The dog responded with a lick of Olaf's carrot nose. Olaf giggled, "I'll take that as a yes."

Elsa smiled at Olaf's ability to name any creature no matter how dangerous they were. "Elsa, we should bring her to Grand Pabbie!" Olaf tells his idea, he then explains to them that Grand Pabbie can look through her memories and find out where she came from...

"...that is if you want to give her back to her old family."

Elsa tells them if Pabbie finds a memory of her old family, she will bring her back to her family, if not, she'll keep Flake.

"Then let's go." Kristoff said. Elsa, Olaf, and Flake board the sled and make their way to the valley. Through the ride, it becomes bumpy and Flake whimpers in response, "Not a fan of car rides, huh?" Flake bark softly in response. Flake looks up at her and nudges her nose at Elsa's leg, placing her snout on her lap. "It's okay... you're safe with me, Flake". Flake presses her head up against Elsa again, and whimper, wanting her to continue with the petting.

When they arrived at the Valley, they stopped at an empty clearing, "Grand Pabbie, are you here?" Kristoff called out, his voice echoing through the area. A rock suddenly rolls to them, revealing itself to be Grand Pabbie, "What brings the fifth spirit here?"

Elsa reveals to him that the nightmares have returned and she needs his help but so does Kristoff, but the question is why have they returned, "You have not fully moved on with her death, as long as you keep thinking about here, the nightmares remain. And when the moment comes when you have truly and really moved on, your nightmares will vanish."

Then, Flake suddenly makes her way to Pabbie and licks him, "Why hello there." Pabbie says, calmly to the dog. "Who might you be?" Olaf introduces Pabbie to Flake, named after her love of eating Elsa's magic snowflakes. "So this is the dog I heard you rescued in the woods not to long ago." Elsa nodded.

Elsa asks the old troll to go through her memories to find whether or not Flake has a family that is looking for her, Pabbie accepts her request and he touches Flake's head to examine her memories and closes his eyes. After several minutes, he opens his eyes with a gasp. "I looked into her memories..." Elsa asked what he saw.

"She does have a family. She was the dog of an elderly woman who was in love with her, and Flake was in love with the old lady and the family but her family did not. The day her owner died, they neglected her and no contact with her. She was..."

"She was isolated from the people that she loved... like me." Elsa realizes. Pabbie nods. He then continues that the husband then decided he was sick of Flake that he rode of with her to an abandoned house and left. She waited for him to return but when he did not, Flake then tried to return to her home, then met Elsa. Grand Pabbie then pointed out that Elsa and Flake have a lot in common and she should take care of her as if it were here own.

Both Olaf and Kristoff agree, the ice harvester tells Elsa to do the things she couldn't do with Anna and do it with Flake, Elsa looks at Pabbie and he agrees with their statement, "Like I said, when you believe you truly moved on from her death, then those nightmares will cease to exist." Pabbie tells Kristoff since he too has been having the same nightmares as Elsa, he too should try and spend time with Flake as a way to cope with Anna's loss.

"You have to move on sooner or later, otherwise, your nightmares will continue to plague your sleep."

Elsa thanks Pabbie and he watches the group head back to the castle. When he sees that they all left, he sighs and turns to look at the night sky. "They will find out sooner or later."

When they returned to the castle, Elsa prepares to produce her snowflakes out of her hands so she and Flake could enter the castle quietly, she then silently enters her room. In her room, she was sitting down on her bed; behind her, Flake was already asleep, she was waiting for her to go to sleep so she could head outside her balcony to gaze at the stars. As she gazed the stars on the dark night sky, she began to remember what Pabbie told her.

You have to move on sooner or later

But Elsa had a question...

"Am I ready to move on?"

What do you think Pabbie is hiding?
