Marissa marched over and, without giving poor Freddie even a chance to explain, looked at her son, pointed to Sam and hissed, "Freddie! Why is this girl in my apartment?"
Freddie gulped and tried not to stumble on his words as he answered. "So, um, Mom you see Sam and I..."
"I sort of got kicked out my house. That's why I'm here." Sam quickly cut in. Freddie sighed in relief and nodded at his mother.
Marissa tore her gaze away from her son and fixed her brown eyes on Sam. "And is there a reason why you got kicked out?" Her tone was icy and Freddie shivered.
"Simple. My poor excuse for a mom was crazier than usual and plus she had one of her ten other boyfriends over again. Long story short, she didn't want me in the way, so she got rid of me." Sam explained, crossing her arms and narrowing her eyes.
"Then why didn't you call that Carly girl?" Marissa asked, her tone was hardening.
"Carly didn't answer and Fredbag here did. So I told him my situation and he agreed that I could stay."
The room went deathly silent after that. The tension in the air from the two irritated females was so thick, Freddie was sure he was going to drown in it. He had to do something before it got too serious.
"Mother?" he asked.
Marissa flickered her eyes towards her son. Her tone softened a bit as she answered him. "Yes, Fredward? What do you need?"
"May I take Sam to the guest room?"
Sam blinked in suprise and then realized what her boyfriend was trying to do.
"Uh, yeah. Can he? I'm kinda tired." Sam said, yawning.
Marissa watched the two teens with a suspicious look. Then realization dawned on her. She forced a tight smile at Sam then nodded at Freddie.
He son got up from the couch {as they were still on the couch}, and without a word, Sam soon followed. Both teens disappeared down the hall, leaving Marissa to her thoughts.
I rewrote this chapter twice then three after I accidentally deleted it. Also I wrote half of this at 3am so if there is any mistakes or if it's too fast please blame it on my sleep deprived self.
