~Julia's Date~
One-Shot.
Oliver's mouth gasped in astonishment when Enrique just scratched his head with a small blush after loosing a beybattle against Julia.
"I told you I'll win!" Julia smirked, "Well done, Thunder Pegasus," she caught the blade.
Raul couldn't exactly comprehend what was going on. Enrique must have seemed to lost willingly. Because Amphiliyon was more stronger than that! Plus, that facial flirty smiles of Enrique gave a fishy feeling.
"Hey Julia, let's go." Raul smiled at her. Julia turned to him, "What do you've to say for this, Enrique?" She asked boldly.
"You played awesome, really. I was so lost that I didn't even concentrate," Enrique said with serene expression, which was partly right but Raul and Oliver understood the different meaning of his words.
Julia grinned in response, because she really didn't expect that her opponent would her praise so openly.
Oliver and Raul coughed.
"Can we meet at lunch at Oliver's cafe, Julia?" Enrique offered with a warm smile. Raul paled at his words.
The whole ordeal of purposely showing up in the park where the F dynasty practised and challenging her and purposely loosing her was to have some friendship with her and as per Oliver's suspect, he had a nascent crush on Julia.
"Uh," Julia thought about it,
"Sure?" She answered hesitantly looking at her brother whose eyebrows were twitched in fear. 'No Julia!'
"Sure, but we are busy this afternoon. So-" Raul interrupted,
"Raul, its okay; you may join too." Enrique appeased. Now Julia felt bad for refusing the generous guy.
"Sure, Enrique, we'll be there by one." Julia smiled cheerily and Enrique's smile broadened. Oliver sweatdropped. Raul had an anime vein on his forehead.
.
"Do you've any idea what you've done?" Raul asked her, seated on a small couch, she combed her hair.
"What's wrong? He has invited us on lunch, Raul. Just don't overreact." Julia said coolly.
"Yeah go ahead. He has a herd of girlfriends behind and he wants you too!" Raul said stressing,
"So?" Julia said flippantly, "I'm cool with that."
Raul gave an exasperated sigh. He was so helpless. He hated when random guys tried to flirt with her sister but Julia was always the wise one but this time she'd lost it, and he knew that Enrique wasn't good for her.
"Get ready now Raul." Julia smiled at him. Raul nodded bleakly and got up.
"Uh, Enrique's such a sweetie you know!" She purposely teased him. Raul flinched at that and coughed, "Say that again and I'm not coming," Raul grunted.
.
"Are you serious about her Enrique? Maybe you'd consider rethinking it." Oliver said,
"I'm so sure, Oliver. Thanks for the cuisine though." Enrique had a stupid love stuck smile on his face. He perfumed wearing with a cool outfit, and organized his hair which actually gave him a decent look.
"I never saw you like that, honestly. You look devastatingly handsome." Oliver chuckled instinctly. Enrique's pride even got expanded.
They rushed to Oliver's cafe and made the bare arrangements quickly.
The only thing that Oliver sensed different this time was Enrique's shyness which was complete opposite of him. He was usually confident and blatantly flirt with any girl. This time, Julia gave him a needed dose.
"Um, we have few guests as well. I'm sure you wouldn't mind." Oliver said
"No problem, just don't overload them." Enrique winked.
.
"Julia!" Raul hissed, "Why are you wearing that huge smile! Put it down sis!" Raul said worriedly as her sister looked absolutely charming with her black outfit and gold rose lipstick. He looked around to see if anyone else was staring at her but he was relieved when everything went fine.
They both took a seat on four chaired table and waited for the unliked host.
"Oh, I'm sorry I'm late," Enrique sauntered in, accompanied by Oliver. Julia stared at him in admiration while Raul just gasped seeing his hair combed so nicely. That was so unlike of him.
Enrique smiled at her softly and Julia grinned, her white teeth at sight.
"We can join the other table, Raul." Oliver said reluctantly but he'd to since it was Enrique's order. Raul smiled nervously in sarcasm but he'd no other choice but to get up and join Oliver at next table.
"You look pretty, Julia." Enrique said looking in her eyes.
"Thanks," Julia felt a little heated and nervous. This guy was having an effect on her. Raul's ears were fanned out at the statement. 'How dare he!'
"Are you okay, Raul?" Oliver asked.
"Yeah," Raul chuckled nervously. Enrique was like laughing hard in his head.
The lunch arrived and the sight before them had their mouths watering.
"Wow, this looks so delicious." Julia said and her face beamed.
"Its just for you, sweetie" Enrique winked and Julia again gave him a gentle smile. They began eating up and her eyes moistened at the tasty food was melting inside her mouth.
"That was so generous of you Enrique. I mean it." Julia said heartily and Raul's anger was storming inside. Oliver knew what was happening to a brother there but he couldn't do much to help it.
"Hey, can we have a friendly beybattle outside? It would be a good change!" Oliver said cheerfully. Raul nodded, "Sure." They strode out to the backside of the restuarant.
Enrique was grateful to Oliver for that.
"So what are you doing these days?" Enrique asked.
"Nothing great; we are working at our old circus in evenings. Currently staying at Romero's place." She said,
"Circus must be fun. You can invite me when you wish." Enrique smiled,
"S-Sure. You'll hopefully like what we do." She said clutching her purse,
"I'm usually working with Oliver these days, just for a change, learning to cook. At other times I hang out with Johnny if he's there," Enrique said,
"Wow, you can cook?" Julia asked in surprise.
"Of course, I can, I'll treat you sometime." He lied about the food part.
"Oh yeah, how are your friends," Julia asked,
"Cool, cool." Enrique dodged the question.
"I heard that Johnny was participating this year in tournament." Julia said,
"He thought to, but he's not sure. He's busy these days." Enrique said,
"Oh." Julia nodded.
"Hey, would you like to go for some shopping?" Enrique offered. Julia blinked unbelievably. 'Was he serious?'
"Sure," They got up and in Enrique's car, headed to a lavish large mall, where he had her buy so many dresses despite her disinclination.
"Its my pleasure Julia," Enrique sighed. "Just take whatever you want."
Julia was nervous at this point. It felt good but something kept yelling her to stop it, and Raul in background came up with horns on his head, glaring horrendously at her.
Despite the gorgeous and beautiful accessories and dresses which she would have wanted her all attention, she didn't do much shopping.
"Thankyou so much Enrique, but I'm really fine and done by now." Julia said in request.
"Okay okay. No worries, let's get back to restaurant then." Enrique appeased her and they headed back.
Raul and Oliver were having tenth round of their beybattle, both almost furiously engrossed in the matches.
Later, Raul remembered that Julia was all that time with Enrique! His heart pounded.
He rushed to Julia,
"Let's go now." He said her quickly. She nodded. Later that night, Julia received a message from Enrique to show up at restaurant and Raul didn't object already giving up.
"Do whatever you want." He hissed.
.
Almost a week has passed and she had been seeing Enrique since then and it was a nice company with him. She hadn't quite opened with him, but everything seemed to be on its optimum terms by now.
"You'll be turning 22 this year, right?" She asked,
"Yep, it's always celebrated at Robert's place." He said, and she hoped he'd invite her. Right at that moment, Enrique's old girlfriends showed up and they gaped at the sight.
"Enrique what are you doing here?" One of them approached and asked with a unpleasant look. Enrique nerved out. After a whole minute of flirting those girls has done, Enrique could see clearly her lucid fiery silent anger on her face. She didn't knew he'd such stupid girlfriends. Raul was right afterall.
"Um, ignore them Julia. They are just-"
"Whatever," she pulled back a strand of her hair lazily.
"I just hang out with them because they were pretty," Enrique said without thinking. Julia horrored.
"Wait, what are your opinions of marrying." She asked intuitively.
"Marrying?" Enrique gasped with shock.
"You might have some pretty thoughts about it, don't you?" Julia just was curious.
"Well, I do, but-"
"Just say," she faked a smile. Enrique nodded,
"If you're dating, look for prettiness in your gf, but if you're marrying, just look for perfection." Enrique said flippantly. Julia closed her eyes in silent comical fury, regretting from the start why she started seeing him. Then Raul came in background of her frenzy fiery mind giving mocking glares to her. She had had enough. She slammed the table with a scowl and got up, 'Selfish moron.'
"What's the matter, Julia?" Enrique was a bit taken aback and he gulped as she turned to leave.
She stomped away, walking with sharp steps. She suddenly opened her eyes in shock when she crashed with a tall figure.
She couldn't believe she crashed like that stupidly. She gawked at his accusing expression.
"Are your gorgeous eyes blind or what?" Brooklyn's sickening sweet voice dipped in sarcasm. Julia's eyes screeched widened and she completely forgot about Enrique. Was he flirting or being pissed off? She was quizzically trying to find an answer.
"Um, can you probably move from my way?" He asked her in slight worry as she seemed to be in some trance.
She blinked out of her thoughts, "Are you trying to flirt with me, Brooklyn?" She said in a dangerously heavy tone. Brooklyn mentally winced at her tone.
"What?" Brooklyn shook his head in complete incredulity. That was definitely not his intention but as honest he was, he couldn't have stopped calling her eyes gorgeous.
"Anyway, why am I here?" She shrugged non chalantly and moved away.
Enrique narrowed his eyes at the scene.
He moved away beforehand and disappeared. Oliver served Brooklyn.
.
"I told ya already, Jules." Raul said comforting her sister as they sat on the bench in the garden.
"You're right, brother. I'm sorry." Julia sighed,
"No worries," Raul caressed her shoulder, "What about Brooklyn? Was he trying to flirt? Really?" Raul asked,
"Oh no." Julia got up, "I stupidly accused him. He didn't mean that I guess." She realized that she shouted at him for no reason.
She suddenly noticed that he was standing at some distance, smiling at her.
"Brooklyn?" She said as her eyes veered out in surprise.
Raul looked in the direction and had an uneasy feeling about it.
"Hey, I was just playing with the butterflies," he said as he walked towards the duo.
"Oh I'm sorry about that-"
"Its okay." He gave a serene smile, his sky blue eyes looking peaceful. Julia felt a tinge of drowsiness.
"You can sit with us, but just don't ask my sister for a beybattle." Raul said straightforwardly but politely. He had a fair idea this was like deja vu.
"Even if I ask, I'm not going to loose intentionally." Brooklyn smiled and Julia flinched. 'Oh, so he read my thoughts and everything. Good.' She seethed mentally.
"You should not invade someone's thoughts, Brooklyn." Julia said.
"I never do that, but you looked a bit upset and that didn't settle me," Brooklyn said with a slight sad smile.
"How did you know that?" Raul narrowed his eyes.
"Her eyes said that," Brooklym shrugged and stretched his hand to have the cute pigeon settle on his forefinger.
"How did you do that?" Julia asked surprised,
"Its natural." He smiled sweetly. He was liking how the pigeon was comfortably seated.
Julia and Raul were blissfully staring at the birds and insects that has settled near him. Brooklyn helped the twins to have the butterflies settle on their hands as well and though it wasn't easy, but their determination helped him.
"I can't believe this butterflies are here on my fingers!" She joyously shouted.
Soon there there were thirty butterflies on thirty fingers of them. It was a beautiful sight.
"Hey Julia!" The butterflies flew away with the sound of the intruder.
"Enrique?" Julia frowned. Oliver was panting behind him.
"What do you want now?" Raul asked.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you, but Julia, trust me you're beyond pretty and I like you for more than that." Enrique said and Julia understood that Oliver trained him. This was not Enrique's speech.
Julia sighed, the anger was gone. She looked at Brooklyn.
"He's right," Brooklyn mumbled, "You both can be friends if you want to." He smiled reassuringly at Julia.
"I'm sorry Julia on behalf of my friend." Oliver added.
"In that case, I forgive you." Julia said with a surreptitious smirk.
"Thanks so much," Enrique was relieved.
"Enrique, you can do me a favor. Right?" Raul asked,
"Yeah, sure?" Enrique was a bit hesitant. The twins smirked at each other.
"Can you prepare lunch for me and Brooklyn at Cafe tomorrow?" She asked in a nasty sweet voice.
Brooklyn's eyes slightly lit. 'Was this beauty serious about him?'
"W-W-What?" Enrique blanched, heartbroken.
"I know you'll! Thanks Enrique!" She gave a triumphant joyous smile and pinched Brooklyn's wrist and turned. Brooklyn broke out of his reverie at the touch.
"See you tomorrow, Brookie!" She nicknamed him. Julia has avenged Enrique! Raul couldn't be happier, while Enrique stared speechless and stupefied.
Brooklyn was in a state of lost euphoria because he has nowhere thought that he'd have a beautiful friend at first day of seeing her.
Oliver seethed, eventually glaring at Enrique. 'My cafe is not a dating spot!'
A/N: *sighs*. I know this shot was not upto the mark of my usual style of writing but I just wanted to give it a try. Its not quite good like my other works, but anyway just say how this was. :) I was re-watching beyblade series, few episodes and this was an idea from it. I think I will start shipping Julia and Brooklyn soon, maybe... or maybe not. Or maybe yes! ^_~
Tyson's Date three shot was much better, right? XD
I just had the basic idea of the plot but I got inspired after Nia said that it was good and I should definitely write it. Thanks Nia! :3
This shot is justice to all Julia and Brooklyn fans by your beloved author Simy ;P

P.S: No Reason song by Ryan b is so good and devastatingly addictive. :3
