Hello all Storm here with a new story! Here we have a new story challenge from "The Sith'ari" with the story focusing on a different character besides Naruto or Naruko. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
Bright violet eyes fluttered open, before the person immediately groaned, and covered her eyes at the bright lights, above her.
'I'm in the hospital, I fucking hate hospitals.' Thought the person, removing her arm, and allowing her eyes to adjust to the light.
Once her eyes had adjusted, the woman sat up and looked around the room, seeing it was a standard hospital room. Though she frowned when she didn't see something, specifically someone, who should be here with her.
Getting up, the woman moved over to a mirror on the wall and looked at her reflection.
She was a stunningly beautiful woman, being regarded as one of the most beautiful, in the world. Having a slender, but feminine build, with long shapely legs, wide hips, a narrow waist, large DD-cup breasts, fair pale skin, violet eyes, while her most striking feature, was her long bright red hair, falling down just past her waist.
This was Kushina Uzumaki, a well-known Kunoichi of Konoha, formerly from Uzushiogakure, but having been brought to Konoha to become the second Jinchūriki of the Kyūbi no Yōko. Having been known as the "Red Hot-Blooded Habanero" when she was younger, eventually being known as the "Crimson Death" during the Third Great Shinobi War.
Looking herself over in the mirror, Kushina couldn't help, but smirk at how good she looked.
'Even after being pregnant and giving birth, and I'm still this hot. Thank you, Uzumaki Lifeforce.' Kushina thought, before frowning again, as she looked around her room.
She had hoped that after waking up, she'd find her baby in her room with her. Figuring the strain of giving birth and the Kyūbi trying to escape, must have left her more tired, than she expected.
'But it was worth it, just to see his little face.' Thought Kushina, smiling softly, having never been happier, than when she first saw her and Minato's baby boy, for the first time.
"Naruto." Kushina said, happily.
Looking around the room, Kushina quickly found her clothes, seeing they were the ones she wore, when she left active duty, after learning she was pregnant. Stripping off the hospital gown, Kushina quickly got dressed, so she could go home, believing Minato had taken Naruto home, while she rested.
Kushina then shivered, when she recalled a dream she must have had, while she was resting.
It had been the night she had given birth, and everything was going alright, with her having just given birth to Naruto. Biwako Sarutobi, the wife of the former Sandaime Hokage, smacking Minato when he tried holding him, saying the mother should hold the child first. Which Kushina was more than happy to do, getting her first look at her newborn son.
That's when everything went straight to hell.
A Masked Man with the Sharingan showed, killing Biwako and the Anbu guards, before taking Naruto hostage with a kunai held close to him. With Kushina being completely terrified at her baby being threatened, and wanting to rip the bastard part, but couldn't do anything. While Minato was frozen between seeing his son taken hostage and the Masked Man ordering him to step away from Kushina, or the Jinchūriki, as he called her.
Then the worst possible thing could have happened, the Masked Man had thrown Naruto into the air. And rather than saving him Minato had instinctively pulled Kushina away, so the Masked Man couldn't take her. Only for both parents to be horrified, when it was revealed the Masked Man put Explosive Tags on Naruto's blankets. The two learning this, when the tags went off, consuming Naruto in an explosion.
After that, the dream became rather blurry, Kushina only remembering screaming, before being surrounded in red Chakra as the Kyūbi escaped the seal from her anger, pain, and sorrow. Thinking her dream-self must have been in shock at seeing her baby die before the next thing she realized Minato was sealing the Kyūbi back inside her before everything went dark.
Just thinking about that, made Kushina shiver in horror and fear, along with being relieved that didn't actually happen.
'Kami, that wasn't even a nightmare.' Kushina thought, not believing her mind could create such a terrifying experience.
Kushina then heard the door open and saw Hiruzen Sarutobi enter the room with an unusual solemn and sad expression. The Uzumaki woman feeling a sudden pit in her stomach, when she also saw what she guessed was pity, when he looked at her.
'It was just a dream.' Thought Kushina, reassuring herself that the dream she had wasn't real.
"Hey old man. Sorry, I can't stay and chat, I have to get home, so I can see Naruto again." Kushina said, the pit in her stomach only growing, when Sarutobi flinched.
"Kushina there's…there's something you should know…" Sarutobi said, not sure how he was supposed to tell Kushina, what happened.
"Can it wait, I really need to get home." Said Kushina, his words doing nothing to settle her rising nerves, now simply wanting to get home to assure herself, everything was fine.
"There isn't anyone, there." Sarutobi said, stopping the woman, believing there'd be no easy way to say this.
This made Kushina freeze, her hand on the door, as her body started shaking, refusing to believe what he was about to say.
"Kushina, you've been in a coma for five months, ever since…that night." Said Hiruzen.
"Where's my baby?" Kushina asked lowly.
'It was just a dream, it was just a dream, it was just a dream, it was just a dream.' Kushina mentally pleaded, not wanting to accept what was happening.
Sarutobi didn't answer, merely opened the door and motioned Kushina to follow him.
*Uzumaki Compound*
Kushina was led to the Uzumaki Compound, formerly the Senju Compound, until she claimed it, after the last Senju, Tsunade, left the village and swore never to come back. With Kushina using her clan's ties to the Senju Clan, to claim the Senju Compound, wanting to have a big home for her future family and children.
She was led to the back of the back of the compound, where she saw a single grave in front of her.
Her sons grave.
"We…we buried what we were able to fine." Sarutobi said, as Kushina stared blankly at the grave.
"We also buried Mina-" Said Hiruzen.
"I don't care where he's buried." Said Kushina in a cold tone, devoid of any emotion.
"Kushina, Minato was your hus-"
"HE'S THE REASON MY SON IS DEAD!" Kushina shouted, glaring at the Sandaime with burning red eyes with slit pupils, Sarutobi tensing slightly at Kushina's anger, only relaxing slightly, when her eyes returned to their normal violet color.
"He could have saved Naruto, he was fast enough, but he didn't. Now, my baby is dead and if Minato somehow survived, he'd be dead too." Said Kushina, despising Minato just as much as that masked bastard, blaming them both for her son's death.
"Leave, now." Kushina said, looking back at Naruto's grave, wanting to just be alone, with Sarutobi nodding slowly.
"If there's anything you need, anything at all." Said Hiruzen, wanting to at least try and help her with what happened.
"Put me back on active duty." Said Kushina, with Sarutobi frowned at this.
"I don't think that would be wise. After what you went through, you should rest an-" Sarutobi said, only to stop when Kushina looked at him, her eyes turning red again.
"I said. Put. Me. Back. On. Active. Duty." Kushina growled, refusing to take no for an answer.
She'll go back on active duty and take missions, just so she can hunt down the bastard who did this and rip apart everything and everyone he cares about. Along with needing an outlet for her pain and anger, otherwise she may end up killing everyone, who so much as looks at her.
Sighing, Sarutobi nodded, knowing nothing he said or did could change Kushina's mind.
The Sandaime then left the compound, with Kushina soon falling to her knees, and covered her face as she cried. Letting out all the sadness, despair, and sorrow, she's kept bottled up, since learning her baby was dead.
Though soon, her sadness was replaced by a burning rage and desire for revenge, with her crimson eyes looking at her son's grave.
'You took something from me, now I'm going to take everything from you.' Kushina swore mentally, knowing that she will find that Masked Man one day, and when she did, he will beg for something as merciful as death.
*Timeskip-Three Years*
Three years had passed, since Kushina woke up from her coma, and learned that her horrible dream, was in fact an even worse reality.
Her son was dead, taken from her by some bastard in a mask and because Minato, Kushina refused to think of him as her husband, focused more on her than Naruto.
Since then, Kushina has gone on mission after mission, all of them involving killing in some way, or allowing her the chance to torture someone, to learn any information they had, that she needed to get. With Kushina having also become much more violent and twisted in her fighting style, making sure none of her targets died painlessly, even laughing madly at their suffering. Mostly due to the fact she always imagines it's the masked bastard she's killing, and she wants to make sure, when she does get her hands on him, she can make his suffering last an eternity.
This also resulted in Kushina getting a new nickname, and becoming even more feared, throughout the nations. Even in Konoha, people feared her, everyone going out of their way just to avoid being in the same area as Kushina.
No one wanting to get on the bad side of The Evil Uzumaki.
Though almost everyone avoided Kushina.
Walking up to the Uzumaki Compound were two people, a woman, and a young girl.
The woman was very beautiful, rivalling even Kushina's looks. Having a voluptuous and slender frame, long legs, wide hips, a small waist, E-cup breasts, long, straight black hair, with bangs hanging on either side of her face, roughly framing her cheeks, pale skin, and dark black eyes. Her attire consisted of a dark purple blouse, a dark purple skirt, and blue Shinobi sandals.
The young girl besides the woman, bared a striking resemblance to her, having the same black eyes, pale skin, and black hair, which also had a blue tint to it. The girl wearing blue sandals, a white skirt, and a navy-blue shirt.
These were Mikoto Uchiha, and her daughter, Satsuki Uchiha.
Mikoto was Kushina's best friend, the two having been in the Academy together, and put on the same team. The two having been close enough, that they both decided to be the godmother of each other's child, Kushina being Satsuki's godmother and Mikoto being Naruto's.
The Uchiha Matriarch, though, had been devastated, when she learned what happened to not only her friend, but her son, as well. Mikoto having visited Kushina every day she was in the hospital, bringing Satsuki along with her. Mikoto only being further saddened, when Kushina finally woke up, and learned what happened.
Her worry only growing, when she heard about Kushina's new brutal and twisted personality, while out on missions, and what her friend did to the enemies she's encountered. Mikoto was sure it'd even make Orochimaru run away in terror, rather than facing this darker Kushina.
Though, despite this, Mikoto refused to leave Kushina alone, during this time, visiting her with Satsuki, so she could get to know her goddaughter, and so Satsuki could meet her godmother.
And while Kushina did always let them come over, she hardly interacted with them, only ever speaking when spoken to, and only the bare minimum. But over time, Mikoto began noticing Kushina began talking more, now speaking first, and interacting with them now. Though she was still closed off most of the time, Mikoto was just glad they were making progress.
'And at least Satsuki always has fun.' Thought Mikoto, smiling at her daughter's excited smile, the little girl always happy to see her aunt Kushina.
It wasn't long, before they arrived at the Clan Head's home, with Mikoto knocking on the door, before they waited for it to open. Which wasn't long, as not a moment later, the door opened, showing Kushina standing there.
"Auntie!" Satsuki said, rushing forward and hugging Kushina tightly, the Uzumaki woman looking at her goddaughter blankly, though Mikoto could see a familiar spark in them, and the subtle way Kushina's lips twitched up.
"It's good to see you to Tsuki-chan." Said Kushina, patting Satsuki on the back, before she and Mikoto shared a hug, as well.
"It's nice to see you again, Kushina. You just got back from a mission, right?" Mikoto asked, as Kushina nodded, before stepping aside to let them in.
"Yeah, just some bandits, with a few upstart Missing-Nin. They started running the moment I showed up, too bad they didn't get very far." Said Kushina, smirking wickedly, with bloodlust in her eyes, with Mikoto shivering slightly at the look on her face, knowing that even with the progress she and Satsuki have made in helping Kushina, the Uchiha Matriarch fully knew her friend was a dangerous person.
Though part of Mikoto also couldn't deny, she found Kushina's new personality a little arousing.
'She always could be rough when she wanted to be.' The Uchiha MILF thought, her mind starting to drift the more…private moments, she and Kushina had.
Before quickly pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind.
"Well Satsuki's missed you a lot, she wouldn't stop asking me, when we could see you again." Mikoto said, smiling, with Kushina's lips twitching up again, as they watched Satsuki run outside to the back of the house, watching as the little girl ran around, with a smile on her face.
"She's a sweet girl. And kind, too kind for a world, like this." Said Kushina, the two sitting down and watching Satsuki play, her heart clenching as she imagined a little boy, with spiky blonde hair, blue eyes, and whiskers beside her.
'They would have been great friends.' Kushina thought sadly, knowing Naruto and Satsuki would have great friends growing up, maybe even becoming closer when they were older, something that can never happen now.
Kushina then looked at Mikoto, when she felt her friend put her hand on hers, seeing the Uchiha woman smiling sadly at her, knowing what she must be thinking. The Jinchūriki just nodded thankfully, before looking back at Satsuki.
While she never said it, Kushina was grateful to both Mikoto and Satsuki, being one of the few bright spots, in her increasingly dark life. But even with their presence, Kushina refused to give up on her hunt, not until she had that masked bastard's head mounted on her wall, knowing she owed that to Naruto, for not being able to protect him.
'I'll never stop, not until he's paid in blood.' Kushina thought, knowing no matter, she won't stop until he was beaten, broken, and begging for his pain to end.
*Timeskip-Four Years*
Kushina walked through the village gates, both her clothes and sword covered in blood, none of which was hers. The Uzumaki woman just returning from another mission, annoyed that it was just regular bandits, she had to deal with.
'But at least I was able to test out some new seals.' Thought Kushina cruelly, having been working on several new seals, all of which focused on keeping a person alive, no matter how much pain or injuries are inflicted on them, along with one to amplify a person's pain receptors, so that even the smallest injury feels like their arm getting ripped off.
Kushina chuckled wickedly, sending anyone nearby, who heard it, running in the opposite direction, having enjoyed their screams of agony, as she cut them open, and removed their organs. Wanting to see how many she could remove before someone died.
Though Kushina frowned, when she started picking up pieces of conversation, around her.
"…can't believe he did that…"
"The entire clan…in a single night…"
"What could drive someone to kill their own family?"
"I heard the only survivor was his sister."
"I figured he's snap eventually, being in Anbu at his age."
"He's already in the Bingo Book, Clan Killer Itachi."
Kushina froze as she heard that last part, as she began putting everything she just heard, together.
Itachi massacred the entire Uchiha Clan in a single night, two days ago, killing all of them, including his own parents. And the only survivor was Satsuki, who was currently in the hospital, right now.
'Then I just have another Uchiha to kill!' Kushina thought, with her eyes darkening, but first, she's making sure Satsuki is safe, refusing to leave her alone.
With that, Kushina made her way to the Hokage Tower, and stormed up to the Hokage's Office, kicking the doors in. This startling Sarutobi, who was in a meeting with Homura, Koharu, and Danzō, the latter of whom, having just been forced to disband ROOT by the Sandaime, after the Uchiha Massacre.
"Kushina, what is the meaning of this?" Sarutobi said, frowning at the interruption.
"I'm here to take custody of Satsuki, that's what." Retorted Kushina, knowing she'll gain custody of her goddaughter, no matter what.
"Absolutely not! You cannot take custody of the Uchiha Heiress!" Koharu said.
"You are not in the right mind to even think of raising a child." Added Homura.
"You are an active Ninja and are always out on missions. You would have no time to raise a child." Stated Danzō, none of three wanting an Uchiha that close to the Jinchūriki, even if Satsuki was only a child, they wouldn't take the chance.
And with Kushina's current personality and state of mind, they have no doubt, that Satsuki would become the next Madara Uchiha. The very thing they had been trying to prevent, ever since their sensei, Tobirama Senju, became the Nidaime Hokage.
Growling in anger, that these old fossils dared to think they could order her around. Kushina didn't even think, before her Chakra Chains shot out and wrapped around Danzō's arms, legs, and neck, before with a single jerk, the warhawk's body was ripped to shreds. With Danzō being unable to use Izanagi to escape dying, or using his Suicide Seal, due to the chain's ability to nullify Chakra.
While Sarutobi, Homura, and Koharu could only look in horror at witnessing their teammate's brutal death, as Kushina sneered at the corpse.
"What have you done?" Hiruzen questioned in disbelief, shock, and horror at Kushina's action.
"I did, what you were too weak to do. That mummy should have died, a long time ago, but you never had the will necessary to kill him. Instead, you let him keep living, and commit more atrocities with his damn drones. Just like how you let Orochimaru escape, rather than killing him." Kushina said, bringing up Orochimaru, as an added slap to the face.
"You insane woman! You had no right to kill a member of the council!" Koharu shouted, while glaring at Kushina.
"There will be consequences for this." Threatened Homura.
Kushina though merely scoffed at their words, not afraid of two old fossils.
"He had it coming, after everything he's done, including now having wiped an entire clan." Retorted Kushina, knowing Danzō was likely the cause of the Uchiha Massacre, and should be grateful she killed him quickly, refusing to risk the chance of him somehow escaping.
"The Uchiha Clan were planning a Coup! Their actions would have led to civil war, in Konoha!" Said Koharu, with once again Kushina scoffing at their excuse.
"And who's fault is that? If you all hadn't discriminated the Uchiha, and pushed them aside, they wouldn't have felt it was necessary to rebel and plan a coup. But of course, you just had to follow the will of your sensei, like good little tools. Following the will of a pathetic, and foolish man, like Tobirama." Kushina said, as she sneered at the Sandaime and the Elders, with them being angered at the insult to their sensei.
"But if the Uchiha were such a threat, then why did you discriminate them, specifically? What made the Uchiha a bigger threat, than the other clans in Konoha? The Hyūga Clan, who can see through walls, and render a person helpless with a few hits? The Aburame Clan, who's insects can absorb Chakra, to the point of death? The Naras, who can control a person like puppets, with their shadows? The Yamanaka, who can enter and manipulate a person's mind, to either control someone, steal valuable and sensitive information, or render someone braindead? Or how about the Akimichi Clan, who can become literal giants, and step on people like ant? What made the Uchiha a greater threat, than any of those clans?" Kushina demanded, while speaking again, before any of them could reply.
"I'll tell you what? They weren't discriminated, because Tobirama saw them as a threat, he just hated the Uchiha Clan. He always hated them and wanted revenge for the death of his family and clan members, that died fighting the Uchiha, in the Clan Wars. Not caring if they were innocent, or not, he just wanted all the Uchiha Clan wiped out, and I'm sure he's very proud of you for massacring them all, and even having one their own do it, to boot. And you know, for someone who used the Curse of Hatred as an excuse to discriminate the Uchiha Clan, Tobirama certainly displayed plenty signs, that he fell to that same curse, a long time ago. Just like his now late student, here." Kushina said, while motioning to Danzō's corpse.
Given her relationship with Mito Uzumaki, Kushina had been told a lot about the founders of Konoha, the good and the bad. And when it came to Tobirama, Mito had more bad than good, to say about her brother-in-law.
"Now then, I'm invoking my right as Satsuki's godmother, to take custody of her. So, unless anymore of you want to be buried in pieces, I suggest you stay the fuck out of my business!" Kushina growled, before storming out of the office.
'How could this night get any worse?' Sarutobi thought, facepalming at how quickly things escalated.
Only to hear his former teammates gasp in shock at something. Looking, Hiruzen saw them looking at Danzō's body, specifically his head, and the Sandaime looked he gasped as well.
The reason being, Danzō's bandages around his right eye had been undone, revealing a Sharingan eye, a Mangekyō one, that had a very familiar design.
"Shisui's Sharingan." Hiruzen said shocked, and horrified that Danzō had stolen Shisui's Sharingan, leading to Itachi having to massacre the Uchiha.
Their horror only grew, when they looked at Danzō's bandaged right arm, as they removed the bandages, revealing a prosthetic arm, with numerous Sharingan and the cells of the Shodaime Hokage, implanted into it.
Looking at the arm and Shisui's eye, Sarutobi now realized why he hadn't killed Danzō, when he learned what happened to the Uchiha Clan, he has used the Kotoamatsukami on him.
'Damn it! Damn you, Danzō, for what you've done, and damn me, for not killing you sooner!' Sarutobi thought, cursing himself for not killing Danzō, years ago.
*With Kushina*
Arriving at the hospital, Kushina didn't ask where Satsuki was, and simply zeroed in on her Chakra signature, before making her way to her goddaughter's room. No one daring to try and stop her, given Kushina was still wearing her blood-covered clothes.
Soon reaching Satsuki's room, Kushina opened the door, with her heart clenching, when she saw Satsuki curled up on her bed, crying.
"Satsuki." Kushina said softly, the girl looking up, and seeing her godmother.
"A-a-aunt K-Kushina." Satsuki said, with Kushina walking over and sitting beside her, wrapping an arm around Satsuki, and holding her close.
"Yeah, it's me. I'm sorry I wasn't here when…it happened" Said Kushina, with Satsuki choking up, as she leaned into Kushina, taking comfort in her presence.
"Th-they're…the-they're a-a-al-all d-dead!" Cried Satsuki, with Kushina rubbing her back gently, saddened at what Satsuki was going through.
"I know. But I swear, I won't let anything happen to you, I'll protect you and care for you, no matter what." Kushina said, with Satsuki looking up at her, with tear-filled eyes.
"Promise?" Satsuki asked, with Kushina nodding.
"Promise." Replied Kushina, the girl hugging the woman tightly, just thankful she won't be alone.
Kushina looked at her goddaughter with soft eyes, swearing that she'll take care of Satsuki, and protect her, no matter what.
So, what did you think, good. Yep, this time the spotlight is on Kushina, only with a much darker turn. As this time around, Naruto died the night of the Kyūbi Attack due to Minato's hesitating, leading to Kushina becoming a Jinchūriki again before falling into a coma due to what happened. Until she wakes up months later and believes what happened was a dream, only to learn it was a very real reality, leading Kushina to being put back on active duty so she can hunt down the Masked Man and unleash unspeakable horrors on him. Thankfully Kushina does have some lights in her life still, in form of Mikoto and her goddaughter Satsuki, unfortunately that light is also soon taken from her after the Uchiha Massacre with Mikoto dying and Satsuki being left alone. Leading to Kushina taking custody of Satsuki, but not before killing Danzō and chewing out the Hokage and elders, with them also discovering Danzō's theft of the Sharingan. Finally, Kushina comforts Satsuki after what happened and promises to always be there and protect her. So, review if you liked go away if you didn't.
