Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Queen takes Pawn. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own X men. Marvel and a few others do.

"Are you sure he can be controlled? I doubt Shaw would put him in that much security without a good reason." she heard from one of the mutants who was drawn to her side.

Bulwark, a mutant with the ability to make forcefields made of molecules. Not the best for an assistant, but Emma had put a lot of her time into maintaining her empire.

"I've been connected to him mentally for 2 weeks, Bulwark. I'm sure… let him out, we're going to need him for when Shaw comes back." Emma watched as the hooded dark-skinned man input the code she found.

The pod hissed open and the figure dropped out. Emma raised an eyebrow.

The darkish black and blue armor which crossed his arms over his chest like a strait jacket clashed with Emma's white dress. She heard the reason Shaw did this was to maintain his power.

The power to decay something if he touched them… Emma could see why Shaw wanted them.

The mask reminded her of military gear, with glowing red lenses which narrowed as the figure took a deep breath and looked at her.

"Decay?" Emma asked as the figure looked over her, glaring at the powerful telepath that could entirely kill him if given the chance.

He nodded, lowering his head slightly, the sound of respirators filled the air.

"Yes." his voice came like a whisper, a pained strangled whisper that could suffocate the very air around him if needed.

"Do you know who I am?" Emma asked, the figure cocked his head to the side and hummed before bowing his head again.

Emma smirked, if she had a mutant that could easily take care of 'troublesome' elements? It would allow her a chance to expand her interests. She already had five in one, it was beginning to look like the tables had turned in her favor. That was good, it would very good.

"Emma Frost… heard… of you." More wheezing, Emma wondered if it was better to telepathically communicate.

The funny thing about that was how quiet it could be inside someone's mind. It was like talking on a phone, you couldn't hear other people, they couldn't interject their own thoughts.

It was secure, efficient, and long range. Emma saw no downside to running her company mentally.

"His lungs sound…." Emma cut her second in command off with a simple glare and nodded.

"Yes, his lungs are in a constant state of breaking down and reconstruction. His powers break down his own body. It's a double-edged sword." Emma stated, she sighed and turned back to Decay.

The mutant made no effort to kill her, to harm her, he seemed to be hedging his bets.

Emma made sure to do plenty of research on the pros and cons of recruiting someone like him into her group. He was a wild card, but Emma knew she could use that. she wanted someone who could be unpredictable, because she was always like that.

Black and white seemed to complicate each other very well, all things considered.

Still, she had to question why Shaw knew about a mutant who could break people down just by touching them. the Hellfire Club of course had its resources, and all members played the game knowing that any one of them could be tossed away, replaced, and all wanted to be the Black King.

That however, didn't mean Shaw would have made such a massive move, it seemed like a very unlikely risk for him to not move to seize more power if it meant something more in the future.

Emma decided to play things safe, she had to. Emma knew that Shaw was busy thinking up how to get back at the traitors, that would give her time to prepare for war if it came.

"I brought you out of the tank for a business deal… you work for me, and I help you." Emma stated, a smirk pulling at her blue colored lips.

Decay cocked his head the same way an animal would if they were told something confusing, it didn't help that people seemed to consider Mutants weapons, even other mutants.

Shaw saw a tool, a weapon, Emma saw a friend, a companion, someone she could mold into a valuable follower given the right gestures.

"What… help?" more heavy breathing, there was a sudden gasp of air and his lungs healed back up, it seemed like a possible side effect of his mutation was healing considered his body broke down and then built itself back up.

"You get help with your lungs and power… and me." Decay arched an eyebrow; Emma smirked even more and went back to walk behind her desk.

Decay watched her, curious as to what she wanted, what she could possibly offer her when it came down to it. She wanted something, and he would offer her something in return.
