Hello everyone and welcome to my second book! This is a NaVia pairing so Gray might be hated on a tiny bit. Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail. I am only a fan and like to make fanfics for it. So I hope you enjoy and see you at the end of the chapter!
Chapter 1:
The evening was marvelous; some would say a dream. But that dream was shattered as soon as that phone rang cheerily. Her heart had not been broken like that before in a long time. With Bora. But Gajeel had helped her that time. This time couldn't be helped.
Juvia finally was able to muster up the courage to ask out her Gray-sama this morning, and to her surprise, he had said yes. The water mage was ecstatic waiting for that supposed to be a wonderful night. Even going shopping for clothes to impress her Gray-sama. Only for him. Only for him she would curl her ocean blue hair to be just right. Only for him would she put on a face full of makeup. Only for him she would not make it rain. All of it was for her Gray-sama!
As soon as 5 rolled around, she bursted out of the house, and practically ran all the way to the restaurant. Only for him would she run and make a complete fool of herself. She had greeted him outside; the sun shining ever so bright. Gray looked handsome; his blue suit complimenting the raven locks in his head, and fancy boat shoes in his feet. Their waiter called them to their table after waiting for a good 30 minutes. Only for him would she wait 30 minutes. Conversation was pleasant and were quite calm. No stalkery comments or embarrassing love confessions of her undying love for him were made. In fact, it was the most civil conversation he had with her. Ever. Gray seemingly enjoyed it.
The waiter then arrived. Gray ordered for her, 'what a gentleman', and continued. The subject was if Lucy and Natsu made a good couple when the food arrived. The food tasted like heaven. 'A good way to finish it off.' And the night got better and better as it got later. Both laughed and smiled at each other, and told stories that would make the other howl in laughter. Hours passed. Only for him she would stay late. Both were sitting, laughing jovially at the puns each made, until the phone rang. That little phone would take away her happiness. Until she met him. A bright cheery ring tone was very quiet compared to their laughter and took 3 rings before either noticed his phone was ringing.
"Oh, I better go answer it." Gray had said. The laughter had died down, and was silent save the phone ringing. He smiled- the smile not completely filling his face, but Juvia didn't notice that- and Juvia sent him off. Now, looking back, it wasn't the greatest action to do in this situation but she felt the need to. Only for him. She leaned closer to the bathroom where he went and eavesdropped.
"Hello! How are you!" Gray greeted. The seemingly female voice said back: "hello, Gray. I'm good." Apparently he recognized this female and replied. "Oh it's you Lucy."'Love rival!' Juvia seethed in anger. Love rival seemed to be taken back by this and gasped dramatically, sending Gray into a fight of laughter. "So anyway, how's your date with Juvia?" Lucy had asked. The water mage's ears perked up at this. This was the moment for her. It would be where she finally learned how he felt. "It's going...ok." Juvia was taken back by the hesitation evident in his voice. 'Maybe he was just tired.' She thought to herself. "It's kinda annoying because she won't stop talking about Gajeel, her missions, and her stupid rant on her new project." Juvia was coming closer to tears as she listened in more, frozen in place. "I'm pretty sure she had a crush on Bora as she couldn't stop talking about him for a good hour!" It was silent for a moment, her tears the only sound, before Lucy replied. "If you don't like it then leave. Simple as that!"
Leave? Gray-sama was going to leave...her? She tried to keep it together, to keep it in until she got home. She really tried. But no matter what she did, she couldn't. Tears welled up and traveled down her face. All she did for her Gray-sama and this is how he repays her? In her rage, her hand started to smack the table, pounding and pounding like a toddler having meltdown. 'This is what it feels like to feel pain, huh?' Her mind morbidly said. Hate and hurt flowed through her body and with every breath she took, it seemed to grow larger. The curls she once made with care for her love was now a mess, makeup was a mess of colors, and the clothes were sprinkled with tears. Pain and emotion welled up inside all of those years she was bullied were exploding out of her, and no one was there to help here. Gray didn't come back. 'He must've left. And if he left, I'll leave too.' She packed up her things, her gift now thrown in the trash. "Hopefully, somebody will like a nice necklace." She muttered.
Her sobbing figure retreated into the night as she said goodbye to her evening dream. Only for him would she abandon her dream.
Alright! Only For You first's chapter is done! That was quicker than I expected. I hope you enjoyed the new chapter, and I hope you will follow and like. Also, please review. I would like to try to get better at writing. Anyway, have a good day/night and I will see you in the next chapter, hopefully. Good bye!
