Isla De Rass

Kai was on the sterncastle deck with Tala and Tyson, and Rolly was managing the helm. The melodiously calm sound of guitar playing was heard from the poop deck but they did mind it. Kai had a frown on his face as he watched all the girls were doing nothing but wasting time around the deck. It was annoying him so much that he started to complain to Tala and Tyson, "I cannot believe these girls are so into themselves."

"I kind of like them," Rolly said. He was wearing an eye patch on his left eye. Kai looked at his eye patch and then said, "What in this freaking world is that?"

"It is an eye patch, Captain," he replied. Kai eyed him for a while but he gave no reaction to his eyeing so he continued complaining about the ladies, "Annoying little damsels is what they are."

"I agree with Rolly actually," Tyson said with a shrug just to tease Kai, "I think Hilary is the best one between all of them and there is Sere too." A vein popped on Kai's forehead as he remembered how Hilary challenged him and almost won until Tyson made the tornado and how Sere had done nothing yet made him feel humiliated.

Annette and Serena told everyone that their names were Anne and Sere respectively, just so they won't suspect them.

Tala added to Tyson's mockery, "Also, that little blue, Scarlet, was such nice fighter." Another vein popped on Kai's forehead and he said with controlled anger, "Let's just sail for Isla De Rass."

The sound of the guitar, which was playing all along, suddenly stopped and Misty walked down from the poop deck. The four of them watched her walking down without saying a word. She didn't eye them nor did she show any sort of reaction to their conversation instead she was calm, just like the music she was playing earlier. Misty went to the main deck but still didn't talk to anyone. Seeing all of it, Kai said, "She didn't hear us, right?"

"Maybe she didn't," the trio nodded along. Rolly then saw the little spot of land on the horizon and said, "Sir, We reached Isla De Rass." Kai pulled out his telescope and looked for the port. He saw men in green coats checking every man and woman in the port. He put down his telescope and rushed down at the main deck to make an announcement.

"We cannot make to the port," he said, "The royal guards of Verita's are there. We have no idea why they are there so we need to split." Tyson and Tala walking down from the sterncastle deck and asked, "What are they doing here?" Misty replied, sitting on one of the cannons, "The crowned princess and a lady of the imperial faction are missing. They are in search of them."

Annette and Serena looked at each other, trying to make sure no one realized they were the one searched for. Annette took a glance at Max, who seemingly was looking at her but turned away.

"We will send few to the port to get the cargo, while the others will accompany us in finding the relic," Kai said, "Max, Rolly, Tala, Anne, Ezabella, and Cecilia will going to the port."

"Sorry, captain," Hilary interrupted, "Cecilia will go with you to find the relic with you. Send Scarlet instead."

"What's the difference?" he asked.

"If something goes wrong, Scarlet can be a good hand in it," she replied. She trusted Scarlet's fighting skills very much. Kai agreed to her request.

A boat was prepared for the ones who were going for the port. Annette wore her hood and cloaked her cape around herself. The Black Swanne started going out of sight and went to the side of the island with more, dense forest. There were waterfalls coming down from the cliffs.

Isla De Rass was known for its numerous waterfalls. It had many rivers on its land. It was the largest Island that fell under the Empire of Verita. It was gifted to House Rass of Imperial Faction when a former Emperor's sister was married into the family. It was the estate of the Rass Imperial Family. The family had control over the little village it had.

The Black Swanne approached a large waterfall. The wind had now started to blow towards the land and the ship was running into the waterfall. Kai was controlling the wheel but he wasn't doing anything. Hilary yelled at him, "Are you mad?! Turn the Swanne to the other side!"

"Let her go where the wind takes her," he replied, grinning manically. She wide-eyed yelled again, "Are you even sane?!" She looked forward as the bowstrip was about to hit the cliff behind the falling water. She hid her face behind her arms in fear. The water poured down on her and when she opened her eyes she saw that the ship was in a cave. She looked behind and saw the waterfall had been hiding the entrance of a cave. She, then, looked at Kai who was giving her a smirk. Tch! That bastard! She thought.

The boat had made it to the port and all of them were about to pass the royal guards. Annette had her hood up and from under it, she gave a smirk as all of them approached the guards. They started checking Rolly to see if he had any weapons with him. Max looked down at the water and saw a large fin that went deep into the water. Annette blew the whistle, Sirens' Whisperer, into a low melody. Max approached the guards after they checked Rolly and Tala.

Max had his, Rolly and Tala's sword at his side, hidden from everyone. The guard checking him was about to see his sword when suddenly, a siren attacked one of the guards into the water. The other guards were then attacked by sirens. Max pulled out his sword and stabbed it into the guard's chest. He started running towards Rolly and Tala and handed them their swords. Scarlet and Ezabella killed a few guards behind them and ran towards them. Annette gave a grin to the dead guard's corpse and then followed them.

While the few guards were fighting the sirens, few were fighting the pirates. Annette didn't pull out her weapon yet, rather she ran towards Max, who was alone fighting many guards. She pulled down her hood and cloak. Scarlet, Ezabella, and Tala, Rolly paired up to back each other during the fight but Max was alone taking many enemies. Furious by his lack of discipline, she pulled out her rapier and cut out the throat of the guard behind Max.

Back at the two duos who were fighting near the water, Scarlet had killed a few guards already. She was facing the waters and as she looked up, a siren jumped onto her to pull her down to the water. The siren bit her cheek which was now bleeding. A bullet shot right from her head and the siren died before she could kill her. Scarlet looked at the direction from where the sound of the gun came and saw Tala, hold a gun in his hand. "Don't get distracted, blue," he said and went back to Rolly. "Let's go," Max said after he and Annette found a clearing. The rest of them followed and they ran into the village.

Kai got down from the ship with Ray, Mariah, Nicole, Cecilia, Emily, Julia, Raul, and few other crewmembers after him. Tyson, Serena, Hilary, and Misty were going to be on the ship and would take care of not being accompanied by a third party. Kai and the rest headed deep inside the cave by foot which got narrower as they kept moving. It was dark but they kept moving on. They were to head inside and find a chest that had the artifact.

At the end of the narrow cave, they found a glimpse of light. They got out only to find that down there was a pool of water, not too deep but something was mysterious. The chest sat on a stone pillar in the middle of the pool, staring at the pirates with its mysterious ashen silver body. Kai took a step forward to going into the pool but halted. He looked behind and sent another man to take it. The man walked in only to get that burning sensation on his feet as if he was walking on the scorching sun. The deeper he went the more his body felt it and as the fluid rise above his knees, he burnt into ashes.

"How must we take the chest, captain?" Ray asked continuing to see the mist that came from where the man was. Nothing was left of the man, not even bones. Bringing their curiosity to an end, Cecilia said, "It is not water you see. It is a fluid that burns you into ashes leaving nothing, not even bones."

"Who are you to tell?" Kai said in a cold, ungrateful manner. Mariah snapped at him and said, "She knows almost everything related to the sea. She had been in the sea for so many years that you cannot even count. Let her say it." He felt humiliated. Why is alpha'd by these ladies?

"Only the one who is worthy enough shall enter the pool of death, for who is not shall scorch hisself to death before reaching the chest. The one who is not worthy shall not touch the chest even after being taken away or they shall die in the constriction of the hunter of fear," Cecilia gave all the information she could in a more riddle-y way possible. Kai raised an eyebrow in confusion and asked, "What in this freaking world is that supposed to mean?"

"It means you are stupid," Mariah mocked him. He frowned.

Max and others entered the village's inn to get the rum. Dropping the bag full of coins in front of the inn-keeper, Max said, "Get us a lot of rum." The inn-keeper showed them the way to the rum store. It was full of barrels of rum. Ezabella took out a purse and widened its mouth. Scarlet went to pick up the barrels but seeing no one was helping her, she said, "Put them in."

"It's a small bag. How are we supposed to put them in there?" Tala said trying to make fun of her. Scarlet gave a huge grin because of which the bite on her cheek started to bleed. She picked up a barrel and threw it over the purse. The purse sucked it all in. They stood stupefied, seeing how it all happened.

"This is Cecilia's bag," Ezabella explained. Oh boy, there more than just throwing people in the water, Cecilia was totally a wizard.

Suddenly, there was a sound of chaos outside the storage room. There were gunshots and slashing of swords. They realized what it was.
