After Hours: Chapter Three

A/N: Sorry if the writing is a bit messy! I toned down the smut in this chapter, you'll see why;)

It was a Saturday, and most students in the castle were eager to let their hair down and visit Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade weekends were very popular with the students of Hogwarts, as they could hang out and socialize outside of the castle.

Harry and Hermione had been looking forward to visiting Hogsmeade, well up until they started having their nightly trysts in the broom closet. Harry had joked that they might as well move there as they spent every night sleeping together.

The rest of Gryffindor started getting suspicious with the nightly disappearances of Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, and knew that something was up; especially after the two students in question arrived late to Transfiguration looking like shagged bunnies.

Meanwhile, Harry and Hermione woke up in the broom closet for the third day in a row. After a heated snogging session, both got out of the broom closet; only to run into the Weasley Twins.

"Hey there lovebirds," they both said in unison.

Hermione jumped at their voices, her eyes widening in shock and embarrassment at being caught; While Harry just stood there trying to come up with an excuse, only to come up absolutely empty.

"So we see," Fred started.

"That this is the place," George continued.

"You disappear to every night."

"How did you figure out we were here?" Harry asked, amazed at how the twins were able to determine the broom closet out of dozens in the school.

"Easy, we saw you two last night snogging in the corridors when we were out sneaking into the kitchen," Fred pointed out.

"Told you we should've waited 'til we reached the closet." Hermione buried her face in Harry's chest, trying to hide her embarrassment. "You're not going to tell anyone, are you?" Hermione asked the twins, still not being able to face them.

"Well Skeeter has written an article about you two already, so everyone's assuming that you two are a thing." George nodded at his brother's statement before continuing, "Besides, both of your beds have been empty for a few days; it's kind of obvious that you two have been sneaking about, even Skeeter knows."

"So, Hermione huh?" George asked with a wink.

"Funny, because I thought you had a thing for Cho Chang, Ravenclaw's seeker" said Fred. "I caught you staring at her during the match last year."

Harry thought back to the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw, where the Ravenclaw seeker had some interesting diversion tactics to try and distract Harry. A small bite on his chest from Hermione brought him out of his thoughts.

"Well, all I saw throughout the match was her flying in front of me." Cho had apparently flown in front of Harry for the entirety of the match, trying to distract him with her assets. "Besides, I've always liked this pretty little thing stuck to my chest right now," He said pointing to Hermione; who was secretly blushing.

"Well then, if you want to have any private conversations, you can always try finding the Room of Requirement." George looked around before continuing, "Well, the problem is that we haven't been able to find it ourselves; since it doesn't show up on the Marauder's Map."

Hermione lifted her head from Harry's chest to comment, "But I thought the Room would make itself appear to anyone who needs it."

"Well, if you can't find where the entrance to the room is, then it's kind of pointless isn't it?" Fred stated frankly.

"I suppose so, but we can always try to look for it. We just have to look for a big empty wall in the castle." Hermione turned around to face Harry. "We can also use it for a practice room; where you can practice for the tournament."

"Brilliant." Harry grinned at Hermione.

Harry and Hermione enjoyed their day at Hogsmeade. Although it wasn't Harry's first time visiting; as he had snuck out using his invisibility cloak the year prior, it felt like it was. Harry had managed to convince a reluctant Hermione to check out Honeydukes. Hermione had been anxious to try some of the sweets; as her parents were dentists and she had inherited their disdain of sweets, until Harry put a lollipop in her mouth. After a visit to the quill shop and a few butterbeers, they headed back to Hogwarts with content smiles on their faces.

Harry was caressing a sleeping Hermione's hair in the armchair when Ron entered the common room, a shy smile breaking out on his face.

"Hey," Ron said shyly.

"Hey Ron." Harry glanced up. "Got anything to say?"

"Yeah. I wanted to say sorry for not believing you. I thought you really did enter your name into the cup, and I guess I overreacted."

"Why didn't you believe me when I said I didn't?"

"I don't know, I thought you kept something from me. I guess I just felt hurt because I thought you didn't care enough to tell me something," Ron explained.

"Ron, we're best mates, I would never keep something from you. I guess we just got too busy being angry at each other to actually explain how we're feeling."

"I suppose we did." Ron chuckled. "I've wanted to apologize to since awhile ago, but I haven't really gotten the chance to talk to you; you've been disappearing nightly for a few nights now."

"Well…"

"Harry I can see right through you," Ron winked. "Professor McGonagall was wondering when you two would start going out."

"Ron, I can explain-"

"They say the uptight ones are also the naughtiest, is that true Harry?" Ron asked with another wink.

"Ron! Not so loud," Harry whispered, subconsciously bringing Hermione closer to his chest.

"Alright, keep your secrets." And with a final grin, Ron headed off to the dormitories.

A/N: I keep reading Harmony fics that bash Ron, so i wanted to write a supportive Ron that's more faithful to the books! Hope you've enjoyed the story so far!
