Chapter Five: Strange Monday.

"They just put Justice League," said Rivalz, reading the newspaper at Lelouch's penthouse.

"Nunnally thankfully omitted the 'Rebellion' part when she coordinated my broadcast," said Lelouch, sipping his coffee.

"Seriously, Justice League Rebellion, that was the best you could come up with?" asked Kallen.

"I thought it was fitting," said Rivalz.

"I liked it," said Suzaku. "And even if they took out 'Rebellion' I think the name Justice League fits us. It shows who we are, warriors for justice. I mean what would you have called us Batman Inc.?"

"No," said Lelouch. "I was thinking...it doesn't matter."

"No, come on you can't tank my idea without spilling on what you'd have said," said Rivalz.

"I'm with him," said C.C.

"Only fair," said Kallen.

"Alright, alright...I'd have called us...the Dark Knights," said Lelouch, making a dramatic pose.

"Lame," his teammates said in unison.

Nunnally, also at the table, giggled at her brother's expense.

"Moving on," groaned Lelouch. "Now that we've made our grand debut we can expect the Emperor to send in H.I.V.E. That'll will be more of a challenge than Cornelia. Advanced science and tactics, nearly unlimited authority, and no morals. We need to put serious effort into better developing our support corps. We may be powerful but we can't be everywhere at once. We're going to need to get the Japanese Liberation Front to join with us."

"After what they nearly did to Milly and the others?" yelled Rivalz.

"That was only one cell," said Lelouch. "Full of extremists whom we've now dealt with."

"And handed over to Britannia," said Kallen. "That's not going to go over well with the other cells. Even if they disagree with Kusakabe."

"Get in or get out of the way, that is how we will present it to them," said Lelouch. "Might sound harsh but that is the reality. Our justice does not require the attacking of civilians and we're strong enough that we can all to easily destroy enemy soldiers. Righteous power and mercy that will endear us to both the Japanese and Britannians."

"On that note we really should get someone in the media who can tell our story," said Rivalz. "I actually...kind of set something up..."

"It's Milly isn't it?" asked Lelouch.

"You could have let me finish the lie Lelouch," said Rivalz.

"You're not good at it," said Lelouch.

"You didn't know I was an alien until recently," said Rivalz.

"He's got you there big brother," said Nunnally.

Lelouch only grumbled in response while the others laughed. This was going to be a long rebellion.

The forces of H.I.V.E. came in just as Cornelia dreaded they would.

"Princess Cornelia, an honor I'm sure," said the man getting off the transport, Professor Hugo Strange.

Cornelia had been well aware of his reputation. An expert in psychology, chemistry, biology, and various other sciences who did not mind if Britannian civilians got caught in the crossfires of H.I.V.E's work. While she had a ruthless reputation herself, Cornelia at least took pride that she truly wanted to protect her people. But Strange, made her uneasy.

"Your failures in regards to this...Justice League have greatly displeased his majesty," said Strange, who had not even bothered to kneel before her or salute her in respect to her rank. "Be fortunate you are still allowed governorship of this area, for now."

"Show respect to her highness Strange," yelled Guilford. "You may be a high ranking official of H.I.V.E. but Princess Cornelia is a royal."

"My orders come from Director Knox and the Emperor himself," said Strange. "Your princess has no authority to me Guilford. And neither do you. But we waste time rattling sabers at one another. I am eager to begin my work. Director Knox had authorized me to utilize my special program and given me access to the deepest depths of the H.I.V.E. Vault for a potential counter-agent to these...metahumans as the director has called them."

"Metahumans?" asked Cornelia.

"Meta as in 'beyond'," said Strange. "Beyond human, a frightening concept isn't it? So frightening a concept that it may very well be necessary to seek allies where we once saw enemies."

"What are you suggesting Strange?" asked Darlton.

"Nothing as of this moment," said Strange. "Now, there is much work to be done. I'd love to speak with Earl Asplund, H.I.V.E. has been admiring his work for some time. His Metallo has potential though it lacks certain elements. I have brought with me materials he may find useful. And for future reference Princess, all actions regarding this so called 'Justice League' will be under the jurisdiction of H.I.V.E. The other insurgents are yours to deal with, surely you will not need our help dealing with mere mortals 'Goddess of Victory'."

Guilford was about to run Strange through when Cornelia stopped him. As much as she disliked being talked to in such manner she knew Strange had the authority to do as he pleased without being punished.
As Strange made his way to the palace, one of the large containers had brought with him on this mild Monday morn began to shake. Roars were heard that even managed to shake Cornelia.

"What in heaven..."

"No longer any of your concern your highness," said Strange. "Focus on keeping the Elevens in order for now. Leave the metahumans to H.I.V.E."

The Ashford Family had once been a supporter of the late Empress Marianne Vi Britannia and had a hand in early Knightmare development. Having fallen out of favor after her death the family had been left wanting for their former status. Things were made more difficult when Milly's biological father left the family. Things became better when her mother married a man named Pat Dugan. Though he had no title his skill in invention had earned them enough that they might as well have been nobility.
It also helped that he and Milly got along so well. As such he was terrified when he saw her as a hostage and nearly had a heart attack when he saw her thrown from the hotel. Watching the whole thing was terrifying but also, exciting, particularly when he saw this, Justice League. Seeing these superhuman figures hovering in the air like gods stuck in his mind like a sword dug deep into a stone.
Their image gave him a strange sense of inspiration which would mean he'd be in his workshop for a while.

"Kyoto is supposedly debating on reaching out to this Justice League," said Urabe, among the other Holy Swords. "Do you think the general will make an offer to them?"

"Those freaks? No way," said Senba. "We don't know anything about those people or their powers."

"Not to mention they've proven that they're willing to fight us," said Asahina.

"Kusakabe was a mad dog," said Tohdoh. "Going after civilians, women and children, that is not what we do. Besides, I'm sure that Kururugi will soon attempt to contact me."

"He sided with Britannia before...becoming whatever he is now," said Chiba. "This...Green Lantern. We can't trust him or these other...creatures."

"Regardless, when Kururugi comes I will speak to him," said Tohdoh. "I owe that much to my old student. And I am curious to the intentions of this Justice League. As I'm sure Kyoto is as well."

In a meeting of several older gentleman one young woman sat behind a veil and looked at an image of the Justice League. Her eyes lingered on the Batman more than any of the others.
She needed to meet him, for she was the Batman's wife, even if he didn't know it yet.

Just as Lelouch had promised, the League's next big planned endeavor was to rid Area 11 of the Refrain racket. Kallen took a great deal of pleasure in hurling mystical lightning at the stash a group of criminals were selling to several desperate Japanese. People like her mother who broke under the misery of life. Misery that Kallen herself had indirectly heaped upon her poor mother.

"Superman and Green Lantern are tending to the addicts," said Batman, walking up to her in her Shazam form. "I have enough information to take down this ring. Buyers, suppliers, and even those counted among the nobility. This was good work."

"I suppose," said Shazam, not entirely paying attention.

"She's safe," said Batman. "If you hadn't been made aware of your mother's...condition earlier there is a 99% chance we would have found her here instead."

"Is that your idea of comforting me?" asked Shazam.

"I only stated the facts," said Batman. "Any comfort you might gain will come from the fact that it will never happen to her again. Though in the future, I hope you control yourself better. Allowing yourself to get carried because of your emotions will only endanger the mission. And I will not have that. But...for what it's worth at least you still have her. Your mother I mean, and even if you can't change the past, you can still have a future with her. Not all of us are that lucky."

As Batman turned Shazam looked on with some sympathy. He had mentioned before how he and Nunnally were orphans and Barda and Scott were only their adoptive parents. She lost her brother Naoto but she still had her mother. Though the way she had treated her before she might as well have been dead to her. That was what drove her to being drained by the men she and her allies just busted.

"She's still recovering from withdraw symptoms," said Shazam. "And even when she's better I don't...I don't know what to say."

"Then don't say anything," said Batman. "Your words aren't going to be what help her. Your actions going forward are."

"You're not good at this whole, comforting a friend thing aren't you?" asked Shazam, raising an eyebrow.

"I never needed to," said Batman. "Never had any who weren't happy go lucky by nature."

"You know I can hear you right?" said Superman, floating down with Lantern. "We got the last of the Japanese out and somewhere safe. Emergency services are going to be here soon. Though...I think I can make their job easier on them."

He flew over Shazam and after drawing in a large breath he blew over the burning warehouse, putting out the fire.

"There," said Superman. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have business elsewhere."

"You're actually going to meet with Milly?" asked Shazam. "If she recognizes you we're done."

"She won't turn in a friend," said Batman. "And Rivalz is her friend. She's trustworthy and it is a good idea to get someone in the media."

"And you know she's trustworthy how?" asked Kallen.

"I know," said Batman, crossing his arms as if that would end the argument.

Shazam looked down angrily, closing her eyes tightly. Just when she found a what might have been a shred of decency he once more turned into an ass.

"Listen here you...where'd he go?" she asked.

The others seemed as perplexed as she was at the sudden vanishing of the Batman.

"I didn't even hear him leave," said Superman. "Anyway, I should go. See ya."

Milly honestly didn't know what to expect or even what she would say. She had no idea when or where the Superman would come to her. So, with little to do she paced around the roof of the school.

"God I'm so tense," she said, nervous about what she'd do if he actually did show. "Almost makes me wish I smoked."

"I wouldn't recommend it," a voice behind her said.

She turned and looked up to see Superman hovering above her. His face was still distorted but she could swear she had seen it before.

"Is this a bad time?" he asked. "Because I can come back later if..."

"No, no don't go...oh, I mean, it's...it's okay," she said. "Just don't...fly away."

"I guess I should have been more specific when I asked to talk," said Superman lowering himself but still hovering in the air. "How are you anyway? I mean after what happened I'm sure it must have been tough to cope with."

"Yeah, I...I thought I was going to die," said Milly. "But you...caught me. Thank you for that."

"You're welcome," said Superman. "And, you don't need that taser in your purse. It wouldn't really do anything anyway."

"Oh, well...wait you can see it?" Milly asked.

"X-ray vision," said Superman.

"Bet that came in handy in high school," said Milly, imagining what she'd do with that ability. "Like what you see?"

"I...never use it like that," said Superman.

Milly couldn't help but laugh at the idea of some invincible man being bashful. It helped her relax and if anything his distraction caused him to slow down slightly. Enough that she could make out his face, which was the true surprise.

"Rivalz?" she asked.

The Purebloods had been on a downward spiral since the botched Kururugi execution. When the Justice League humiliated them their standing in the military had gone down and Cornelia barely sent them into action. Now with H.I.V.E in the Area things were only going to get worse for them.
It was enough to lead Jeremiah to drink. Something he hadn't done since the day he failed his lady, Marianne Vi Britannia, and her beloved children.

"I swear by my sacred Lady Marianne, I shall destroy the Batman and his soc-called Justice League," groaned Jeremiah.

"If we could just find the Batman we'd be able to take out the others with ease," said Villetta. "He does appear to be the leader. But with H.I.V.E. in action we're not going to be authorized to deploy against the League."

"To hell with H.I.V.E." yelled Jeremiah. "I will do everything in my power to destroy Batman and his League."

"H.I.V.E could stand to be knocked down a peg now can't they?" said Lloyd a sly grin on his face as he walked in. "I believe I have something that may help."

"It didn't start up until a few years ago," said Rivalz, he and Milly sitting leisurely on the side of a tall building. "My powers had just started to flare up. Before that I was a pretty sickly kid. My teacher, J'onn, says it was most likely due to my body acclimating to Earth because I was first born on Krypton."

"And he's a Martian right?" asked Milly.

"Yeah," said Rivalz. "Like a second father really. So when my parents...my adoptive parents I should say, passed away, he helped me. Sent me off the Homeland in hopes that I'd be safer."

After Milly had figured out his identity Rivalz decided it was best to come clean about everything. Including how he was an alien.

"J'onn also helped decipher some messages left in my pod by my birth father, Jor-El," said Rivalz. "Not too much but enough to let me know where I come from. And what happened to them."

"So what's your real name?" asked Milly.

"Riv-El," said Rivalz. "Crazy coincidence."

"I'll say," said Milly. "God this is a lot to take in. I've been going to school with an alien. And...this is what you really look like right?"

"Yeah, my physiology is similar enough to humans that I can hide in plain sight," said Rivalz. "By my molecules are denser and because Krypton had a higher gravity than Earth I'm a lot stronger than normal humans. But I'm really powered by Earth's yellow sun as opposed to Krypton's red."

"Like a plant?" asked Milly.

"I guess so," said Rivalz. "I just soak up rays and it gets processed into energy which I can release in various ways. My senses are also greater than those of a normal human's."

"And the X-Ray vision thing?" asked Milly, giving a naughty look. "Seriously Rivalz how many times have you peeked? Like what you see?"

"I swear I never did anything like that," said Rivalz.

Milly laughed at Rivalz's embarrassment, and was impressed that she could actually fluster an indestructible man.

"So...why now?" she asked, giving a serious, if worried look. "I mean if you've been in hiding for all these years why expose yourself now by siding with Batman against Britannia? And what's with this whole Justice League thing?"

"I called us the Justice League Rebellion," said Rivalz.

"Yeah but...Justice League just sounds better," said Milly.

"Fine," said Rivalz. "Anyway, Milly...do you really think Britannia is as great as the Emperor makes us out to be? I mean, I've known you long enough to know you don't have a hateful bone in your body. You don't mind Numbers and want everyone to have fun. But...I can hear everything that goes on in the ghettos. I hear what people are reduced to there and what Britannians do without any fear of consequence. And I can't believe in the Emperor's Dogma otherwise...otherwise if I did I'd be the one you should call Emperor."

Milly jumped slightly at that.

"Think of it, I have more power than wealth or status will ever buy and can destroy an army all by myself," said Rivalz, shoving off the side and floating in the air. "If I believed in his garbage rhetoric then by all rights I'd be going to Pendragon and pop his head off like a soda cap to take the throne. But...but that's not who I am. For the longest time I didn't know what to do with my powers. I was just content to hide so I wouldn't be treated any differently than anyone else. I was scared that if the world found out who I was I'd be rejected. That I'd be hated and feared by...by everyone. Even you."

Milly looked on Rivalz sympathetically has he hovered in the air. She couldn't have imagined how lonely it was for him to keep this secret.

"When Prince Clovis ordered the Shinjuku Ghetto wiped out I couldn't just stand by not anymore," said Rivalz. "I saved the Japanese people who were there and destroyed the Britannians ability to make war. And I did it without having to take a single life."

"And the rest of the League shares that non-lethal attitude?" asked Milly.

"Batman recognizes that with our powers combined we could easily overpower and destroy the Britannian military," said Rivalz. "But doing so would make us no better than them. We're not tyrants out to terrify people and we're not terrorists either. That's why we saved Britannian lives during the resort incident even though a majority of us aren't Britannian. We want Britannia to change their ways before their radical racism and colonization lead to a global disaster that could put the entire world's population at risk. It's happened on other worlds, my teacher J'onn can attest to that. And even if I wasn't born on this planet it is my home and I will do everything in my power to protect it form those who would do it harm."

At this point Milly would have made a chuckle about how childish that sounded but Rivalz's tone of voice was completely different than what she was used to. She could tell there was a firmness in his words that showed he meant ever single word with all of his heart.

"What we want is for Britannia to recognize the basic human rights of the Japanese and all other peoples of the Earth," said Rivalz. "But to do that we have to persuade them from a position of strength. Teach them a bit of humility."

"Still can be interpreted as terrorism," said Milly.

"Not if we don't take lives," said Rivalz. "Or if we save more lives than the police and military combined. They can't call us terrorists if we only embarrass them can they?"

"Rivalz, Britannia controls a third of the world," said Milly. "You can't seriously expect them to just change over night."

"We don't expect that," said Rivalz. "But I like to think that I, and by extension the rest of the Justice League, are prepared to fight a never ending battle with Britannia and all other forces of terror and tyranny in the world until all humanity is able to live in peace and safety. That's why I reached out Milly, I want you to let people know that. To let them know what we stand for. Truth, justice, and a better way of life for all humanity. And don't worry about the military. If they come after you or your family I'll tear them to bits. You have my word. You do...trust me don't you?"

The look in Rivalz's eyes shook Milly. She was used to him goofing off and boyishly asking for a date from her. But this was different. This was an honest question from the heart. He was placing his trust in her that she would spread the word and was asking if she could trust him.

"Of course I do," she said, perhaps in a more misty voice than she had intended.

"My Date with Superman, who the hell is this girl?" yelled Cornelia, shattering her tablet in fury.

She, along with every other person in the settlement, awoke to the most shocking of news. That one of the so called 'Justice League' had actually gone to a representative of a major Britannian news organization and gave an exclusive interview. One detailing his origins as an alien as well as the mission of the Justice League.

"Superman has stated that the Britannian Empire has failed to recognize the basic human rights of the Japanese and other races and have declared their intent to wadge a never ending battle for truth, justice, and a better way of life for all humanity," Euphemia read, looking at her own device.

"What utter nonsense," yelled Cornelia. "And how dare he accuse us of...of...what did it say again?"

"Paving the way for a global disaster that could endanger the entire population of the world," said Euphemia.

"That blue bastard," growled Cornelia. "Britannia is bringing peace and order to the world and he dares accuse us of such a thing. And what's more he even admits to being raised in Britannia. I want the girl who took this interview to..."

"Viceroy, you can't," said Euphie. "H.I.V.E. has full jurisdiction of all Justice League related matters."

Cornelia only roared once more as she slammed her fists onto the table, shaking her and Euphemia's breakfast. She noticed how she scared Euphie with that little display and took a break.

"I'm sorry," she said, her face more relaxed. "It's just...so galling. I have here a direct source I can pull on for information about these freaks and by law I can't do anything about it."

"Do you really think Superman is an alien?" asked Euphie.

"Given what I've seen him do I can't exactly be skeptical," said Cornelia. "Does it mention the others?"

"No," said Euphie. "Most of it appears to be about Superman. This, Milly Ashford, states that he was quite the gentleman and...compliments his outfit."

"Oh joy," said Cornelia. "Wait...Ashford? As in the Ashford Family?"

"The same ones who supported Lady Marianne, yes," said Euphie.

That name filled Cornelia with a great deal of sadness. Empress Marianne had been her idol and the children she bore the Emperor held a place in her heart alongside Euphie. Losing them almost broke her completely.

"Well this won't do the family any favors," said Cornelia. "And wasn't she one of the hostages with you at the Hotel Jacking incident?"

"Yes," said Euphie.

"Then perhaps you should pay a visit to the school and politely remind her where her loyalties should lie," said Cornelia. "Not with some flying clown in a blue suit and red cape."

"Even if said clown saved her life?" asked Euphie. "Besides, don't you ever wonder if we're really on the right side of half the conflicts Britannia engages in? What if Superman has a point? What if we are leading humanity not to salvation but to destruction?"

"That's nothing more than the blather of an alien monster sent to disrupt our way of life" said Cornelia.

"It says here he arrived on Earth as an infant seventeen years ago," said Euphie.

"A likely cover for this...creature," said Cornelia. "We should treat everything he says as a lie to try and confuse and disrupt our Empire. Truth and Justice, those are what we stand for, not this alien, and certainly not this so called 'Justice League' despite whatever their title suggests."

"Invulnerable to harm, super strong, flies, fires beams of heat from his eyes, freezing breath, super speed, super senses, and get this, never lies and always brushes his teeth twice a day," laughed Tamaki, reading the same article. "Seriously?"

Rivalz flashed a smile to the group as if to answer. The League, including Scott, Barda, and J'onn, met with Kallen's group at her mansion to discuss the article as well as plans to move into a more secure base of operations.

"You know I never suggested that Britannia was going to lead to the end of humanity but nice touch," said Batman. "Especially the 'never ending battle' part."

"It just sounded right," said Rivalz. "And I kept your identities out of the conversation. But we can trust Milly and I promised she'd be under our protection. Her and her family, and I really don't lie."

"Except to hide your secret identity," said Kallen.

"Shouldn't you be in bed with the sniffles?" countered Rivalz.

"Children, enough," said Barda, in a voice that demanded respect.

"Thank you Barda," said Batman. "Now, Scott almost has the Watchtower finished. Once it is the League will be using it as our base of operations. It has enough room to accommodate all of you but as our ranks grow for the support army we need to build it'll eventually be necessary to build a place on Earth. Now, is there any other business?"

"Actually yes," said Ohgi. "This is for you Batman, a love letter...from Kyoto. It came through my old contacts in the resistance."

"So the Kyoto Group is finally reaching out," said Batman, taking the letter. "Excellent, if we get their support we'll be able to bolster your ranks and supply you with weapons."

"Weapons of last resort," said Rivalz. "We don't want open war with Britannia. Remember that disaster I was talking about? We don't want to add more wood to the fire than we already have."

"Well you can't expect us to just sit back," said Minami.

"Yeah, and unlike you guys we don't have superpowers to fight with," said Inoue.

"I know," said Rivalz. "But I stressed that the Justice League will use non-lethal tactics and I intend to keep my word. Any weapons we get though will only be used in self-defense. I want your word on this Batman."

"As do I," said Suzaku. "So far this has been a bloodless rebellion. I'd like to keep it that way for as log as possible."

"You can't possibly think it'll stay that way," said Kallen.

"It'll stay that way as long as I have the power to do something about it," said Rivalz.

"Here, here," said Suzaku.

"Enough," said Batman. "We will discuss this at another time. Till then we should meet with Kyoto."

"Fascinating," said Strange, also reading the article and conversing with his master. "The last son of a dying world rocketed off across a sea of stars to this planet. Assuming it is true."

"I believe it is," his master said over a private line. "The stars contain such wonders as you would never believe Strange. Now, is my pet ready?"

"I am making final preparations," said Strange. "I believe it would be prudent to send it, along with my own children, along with the princess's upcoming raid on the Japanese Liberation Front. The Batman will most assuredly be seeking to aid them as to earn their support for his rebellion."

"I do hope your children live up to your dreams Strange," said the master. "My pet will be more than enough for at least one of them."

"They should provide enough of a distraction for the others," said Strange. "I am quite eager to see how the Batman will react to this change in battle."

"As am I my friend, as am I," said the Master.

"My dear, I am...impressed," said Diethard. "Your article has become the number one trend and it's not even noon."

"Thanks for the opportunity Mr. Reid," said Milly.

"When an honest to god alien drops off my talented young intern and says she has the exclusive interview how can I refuse," said Diethard. "I'm actually surprised we haven't gotten the military battering down our doors yet. But then again considering you've apparently made contact with an almighty alien I can understand their reluctance. So, how does it feel having made First Contact?"

"It felt...great," said Milly. "And thank you for not changing anything about it."

"My dear my loyalty is to the story," said Diethard. "And this Justice League will be the story of the millennium if not the rest of history. Now I suggest you hurry up and graduate, because I want you on hard news asap."

"What?" asked Milly.

"You heard me," said Diethard. "From now on, you're the go to girl for all stories related to the Justice League."

Batman, Ohgi, Tamaki, and Kallen were led down to meet with the Kyoto Group's representative. All the while during the travel Tamaki complained about not knowing where they were until they finally arrived at the Fuji Mines.
And were greeted by a host of armed gunmen and several Knightmare Frames. At the back were two people hidden behind veils.

"Forgive us for not revealing our faces," said an older man's voice behind one of the curtains. "But it seemed fair given that you yourself hide behind a mask Batman. And as we cannot trust one who hides is face, you must remove yours. But of course you are too proud to do so yourself. Which of you is Ohgi?"

"I am sir," Ohgi said stepping forward.

"Remove the Batman's mask," said the man.

"Hold on, Batman has won important victories for Japan," said Kallen. "Surely he deserves..."

"That may be true but the fact is we cannot trust someone who hides their face," said the old man. "Now, remove the mask."

Ohgi stepped up to Batman and nervously laid his hands at the side of Batman's cowl.

"I'm sorry Batman, but we need to trust you," said Ohgi.

As he removed the cowl, to everyone's shock, what they saw was the face of a withered old Japanese man.

"It...can't be," said the man behind the curtain.

"But it is, I Taizo Kirahara am the Batman," said the supposed Batman. "Or am I perhaps I am someone else."

The old old bold head then gave way to raven locks as a young woman's face appeared.

"Perhaps I am Kaguya Sumeragi, dressing as a man who dresses like a bat," said the new face with a matching voice. "But I can't possibly be neither since they're standing right there."

All the guns turned on the group.

"Anyone who can identify them must die," said one soldier. "Especially, what ever the hell you are Batman."

"Shazam" yelled Kallen.

Bursting through layers of rock the mystical lightning bolt came down and struck Kallen, transforming her into her divine form. At the same time several Boom Tubes opened beneath the Knightmares, sending them falling. Another opened from above and the true Batman descended along with Superman, Green Lantern, and C.C. The false Batman chanced into the form of J'onn.
The remaining soldiers tried to aim at Superman and Shazam took their weapons before they could move.

"I believe now the advantage is mine Lord Kirahara," said Batman, stepping up to the curtains.

"It appears so Batman," said Kirahara, drawing back the curtain. "The abilities of your comrades are most impressive. And your own mental abilities are as excellent as rumor has it."

"Indeed, Lord Kirahara," said Batman.

"And I take it the green man is an extraterrestrial as the Superman is correct?" asked Kirahara.

"I am," said J'onn. "For all intents and purposes you may call me...the Martian Manhunter."

"So you truly are aliens," said Kirahara.

"Not all of us sir," said Green Lantern, walking up beside Batman.

"Suzaku!" a girlish voice yelled.

From behind the other curtain a young girl around Nunnally's age burst forth and wrapped her arms around Suzaku. Suzaku returned the hug lightly to Kaguya Sumeragi, his cousin whom he had not seen in years.

"Lantern, cover," said Batman, refocusing Suzaku's attention.

From his ring Suzaku summoned forth a large green curtain which cut off view of Batman and Kirahara from the others. It was there that Batman removed his mask.

"Ah, I see the flower from eight years ago has finally bloomed," said Kirahara, recognizing Lelouch's face. "And found powerful allies. Though given the words of the Superman as of late it would appear you do not fight simply for Japan."

"No we do not," said Lelouch. "The Justice League fights for all humanity. Japan is simply the first of many nations we intend to liberate. But as powerful as we are we will still need support. I intend to unite various rebel groups into an army that can support us in the field since we cannot be everywhere despite our power. If we were supported by the Kyoto Group, this would go a long way in helping us liberate Japan."

"Though that is far from your only goal now isn't it Batman?" said Kirahara, knowing the answer. "Ohgi?"

"Yes sir," said Ohgi.

"While I cannot attest to the reasons behind the aliens, know that the Batman is a true enemy of Britannia," said Kirahara. "You have the full support of the Kyoto Group in your endeavors boy."

"Thank you Lord Kirahara," said Lelouch, donning the mask of Batman once again as Lantern "We're done here."

"So soon, but we've finally been introduced...husband," said Kaguya, immediately launching herself to Batman.

Batman, recalling his childhood with Kaguya, detonated a smoke pellet before Kaguya could get close and promptly vanished.

"When Batman's done, he's done," said Suzaku as his cousin pouted in irritation.

"Batman will surely attempt to bring the Japanese Liberation Front into his fold," said Strange. "As such your operation will now be joined by the forces of H.I.V.E."

"And just what makes you think this operation will go any better than the last time we tangled with the League?" asked Darlton. "Last time Batman and Kururugi, now calling himself Green Lantern, were enough to take us."

"Because Director Knox has granted me access to his private research vaults," said Strange. "Project: Monday he swears will be enough to match Kururugi. As for the Superman and the crimson woman called Shazam, I shall divide them with my own works and one borrowed from a colleague. The Purebloods have craved vengeance for their failures ever since the Kururugi Incident."

"And what exactly are they going to do?" asked Cornelia.

"I am afraid that is classified information," said Strange. "Do not mistake Cornelia, you are a part of this only as a courtesy to your father the Emperor. You will focus your efforts on the Japanese Liberation Front. Deny the Batman allies and he and his band of metahumans shall be left without aid. Though I suggest keeping prisoners and treating them well. Should this conflict be drawn out we could well make former enemies into allies."

"You mean you'd actually make a deal with the JLF?" asked Guilford.

"Despite the ideals of our Emperor, Britannians are but one of many breeds of humans," said Strange. "We are not special. But these metahumans, including the alien Superman, are. Tell me Sir Guilford, General Darlton, Princesses, have any of you ever studied on Darwin's true theory? Not the social drivel that the Emperor deludes himself in. The true Theory of Evolution. It states that when an organism develops a trait that allows it to an advantage in its environment necessary for its survival, the trait passes on through to its descendants via the genetic line. In his interview Superman foolishly gave away his genetic advantages. Assume that indeed his physiology is similar enough to that of a human that breeding with him is possible, what do you assume will happen?"

"His children would inherit his abilities," said Cornelia.

"As would their children so on and so forth," said Strange. "While the others and their powers are a mystery as of now we should assume that they too in some way possess traits that can be shared and passed on from generation to generation. Thus the metahuman takes the place of the human. As did our ancestors with the Neanderthals. Thus, should we fail to snuff out the Justice League, they shall spread their seeds and it will not only mean the end of the Britannian Empire. But the end of the human race. That is what we must stress to the Elevens if it comes to it. Because extinction is a threat to them as well."

"I think we lost them," said Pat, after driving around the city and back to Ashford twice to ditch a crowd.

Ever since she had released the story about Superman, Milly had been swarmed by people wanting to speak to her. While never one to pass up attention this was too much even for her. Good thing Pat was a terrific driver.

"Thanks Pat," said Milly, straightening herself in the backseat. "This is so crazy."

"I can bet," said Pat. "So...this Super guy...he didn't try anything funny did he?"

"Of course not," said Milly. "He's...too super for that."

"Oh, cool," said Pat.

"Besides, you could take him," said Milly, playfully smacking Pat in the shoulder.

"Ow, hey careful," said Pat, feigning pain. "Man of steel I am not."

"Man of Steel?" said Milly. "Sounds neat, he needs a nickname."

"Superman isn't a nickname?" asked Pat.

"It's a code name that's different," said Milly.

"So then what about the others?" asked Pat.

"I'll figure them out later," said Milly. "Mr. Reid put me on all things Justice League. Do you have any idea how big a break this is for me?"

"Yeah I do and I'm happy for you Mills but...be careful alright," said Pat.

Pat put his hand to his forehead, making a pained face, worrying Milly.

"Pat are you okay?" she asked.

"Oh I'm...I'm fine," said Pat. "Just a headache."

"I'll be fine Pat," said Milly, giving her stepfather a soft smile. "Take care."

Milly gave Pat a quick kiss on the cheek and exited the car. As she left Pat's headache became worse. Reading Milly's article, reading about truth and justice, kept bringing on the pain. As if there were something in his skull trying to force its way out.

"The time is coming Pat Dugan," a voice said in Pat's mind. "There is work to do."

"I know I wanted to be part of the action but not like this," moaned Tamaki.

In the location where the JLF would soon clash with Cornelia's forces, Batman had taken Kallen's group of rebels along with the League in the Narita mountains. There he began having the rebels lay carefully placed charges along the mountain.

"You know I could have dug the trench myself," said Green Lantern, standing next to Batman overlooking the dig.

"You need to conserve your energy for the battle," said Batman. "You and Superman will keep the Britannian forces occupied until the JLF makes their escape. Then Shazam will bring the mountain down on them."

"With C.C. ensuring that all the pilots and soldiers are removed when the mountain goes down, correct?" said Superman, floating down.

"Naturally," said Batman.

"Why the hell did you have to say we were nonlethal you alien jerk?" yelled Tamaki. "We should just go down there and start popping heads."

"If we did that we'd be just as bad as the enemy," said Green Lantern.

"Can't really call ourselves the Justice League then now can we," said Superman. "We're trying to show everyone a better way. And that includes the Britannians."

Tamaki began to grumble more but Batman shot him a glare that shut him up.

"It'll be hard for them to keep quiet about their defeat this time," said Superman. "And you know somewhere down the line we could try and get them to sue for peace."

"Peace will come once we've defeated the Emperor," said Batman. "But it won't be long till then, I'm sure."

In the G-1 base Cornelia was tense as she looked over the battle plan. Her persona Knightmare was still under repairs, meaning she'd be forced to sit back with Euphie during this operation. But even more troubling to her was how H.I.V.E. had muscled their way into this operation. She didn't know what Strange had up his sleeve and she certainly didn't trust him.
She also thought about what he had said. What if the alien and his allies could pass on their genes to a new generation? They indeed would create a new species on earth. A species stronger than humankind in every way. And Britannia, as powerful as they were, could barely handle the five of these creatures, how could they handle an entire species?

"Your highness," said Guilford, bringing her out of her daze. "Our forces have encountered the JLF."

"Any sign of the Justice League?" asked Cornelia.

"None yet," said Darlton. "And H.I.V.E. isn't telling us anything. We don't even know what kind of forces they'll be deploying. However, we do have one thing going for us. Asplund reconfigured his Metallo, reinforced armor and weapons with the hope that it'll be more effective this time."

"Do you seriously believe it will be?" asked Cornelia.

"If we can take at least one of these...metahumans out we can tell H.I.V.E. to shove off," said Darlton. "They should at least give us the chance to avenge our honor."

"Strange doesn't strike me as the type of man to care about things like honor," said Guilford. "Forgive me for saying this your highness but it almost makes me want to root for the Justice League just to see Strange humiliated for his insults towards you."

"Thank you Guilford," said Cornelia. "However as much as we may disagree with Strange professionally...might have a point. These metahumans could be a menace to all humanity, not just to the Empire. Though if the Elevens only see them as a means to destroy us, they're greater fools than I thought them to be."

Japanese Liberation Force Knightmares clashed with several Britannian Frames. One in which Kyoshiro Tohdoh piloted fought with several enemy units. His Frame, the Zangetsu, perfectly complimented Japanese fighting styles.
However when an enemy nearly got the jump on him from above a green slight sliced the enemy machine, rendering it useless but allowing the pilot to eject. Tohdoh looked up and saw the Green Lantern hovering above him.
As a red, blue blur dismantled other enemy Frames in the immediate area Tohdoh opened his cockpit to get a clear view of his student.

"Suzaku," said Tohdoh.

"Sensei," said Suzaku. "You should organize the escape of your forces. The Justice League will handle it from here."

"I'm surprised the Justice League has come to our aid after how you fought against Kusakabe," said Tohdoh.

"Kusakabe dishonored the JLF when he took women and children hostage," said Suzaku. "You would never do something like that Sensei. Our mission is the same one, freedom for Japan and peace for all humanity."

"So, you still have your naivete Suzaku," said Tohdoh. "Though I am glad to see you've shed yourself of Britannia's influence."

Before Suzaku could speak in response a roar echoed loudly from the forests.

"What was that?" asked Suzaku.

The roar made Tohdoh's blood run cold as his mind ached. The ground shook and from the trees burst forth a monstrous shape. A creature with white flesh dressed in tattered grey clothing. It stood as large as a Knightmare Frame with glowing green veins.

"SOLOMON GRUNDY, BORN ON A MONDAY," the monster roared.

Superman flew down to attack the monster but to the shock and horror of all who watched, the creature batted him away with one hand, sending him far.

Elsewhere, Shazam had been helping guard another unit of JLF soldiers when a group of hideous humanoid figures burst forth. They were smaller than the one attacking Tohdoh and Suzaku but none the less were formidable. They were hideous creatures with bulging muscles, their skin barely able to contain their muscle and bones.

"Dammit just what the hell are you bastards," she yelled as she caught the massive fist of one of them.

Her strength of Hercules proved to be a match with these giants but they were still impressive. She used the momentum of the creature's attack to throw it over her shoulder. But as soon as that was done she got struck from the side by another. A third slammed its fist into her sending her to the ground.

Tapping into the viewing system of the the Knightmares in throughout the battlefield Cornelia, Euphemia, and their Honor Guard looked on in shock at what they saw.

"What in the a name of god is that monster?" yelled Darlton, pointing to the image of Grundy.

"Solomon Grundy," said Strange as he entered the command room.

"This is your response to the metahumans?" asked Guilford. "With a monster of your own."

"Monsters, plural," said Strange. "As we speak, several of Grundy's...little brothers are out there taking there exercise. I call them my...Monster Men. A tad obvious but none the less accurate."

"After all that talk of the metahumans being a threat to humankind you create these...horrors?" said Euphie, trembling at the sight of these creatures.

"Grundy and the Monster Men obey orders to the letter," said Strange. "They have no will and they cannot breed. They are beasts firmly under the control of Britannia."

"You mean...the Emperor knows about these things?" asked Cornelia.

"Knows of them and sanctioned them," said Strange. "Magnificent aren't they. Soon they shall be the future of the Britannian Military."

"Like hell," yelled Darlton. "If you expect me to let those creatures represent the nation I love forget it."

"This is the will of the Emperor, General Darlton," said Strange. "I would be careful of how one speaks of his will. The results can be monstrous."

The implication of that sentence sank deep into everyone who stood with Strange in the room. Euphie looked on at the fight with Grundy and the Green Lantern. Despite the Green Lantern officially being her enemy she felt afraid for him. No one should have to suffer such a monster.

"Of course its not all bad," said Lloyd. "Converting the Metallo to a Knightmare was child's play. And H.I.V.E's prototype Excalibur crawler is performing well against Superman."

Recovering from getting the first good punch he'd ever been given, Superman straightened himself in the crater he had made on impact.

"Damn, what the hell was that?" he said.

Before he could go back to help he was struck from behind by a high powered energy blast and sent back into the crater.

"Superman," yelled an electronic voice.

Straightening himself back up he saw the silver machine from before. However it looked as if it had been converted to a Knightmare. Along with it was a large spider-like tank machine with a large blade attached to the cannon.

"Etch this into your memory alien," said the silver giant. "Jeremiah Gottwald and the Pureblood Faction shall be your doom."

"Who?" Superman responded.

This act of ignorance on his part was responded to with a blast from the tank sending him into the woods.

When Grundy sought to charge Tohdoh's Knightmare, Suzaku put up a wall of emerald flame covered brick to guard against his attack. But to Suzaku's shock and horror the monster charged right past the construct.
Before Grundy could get to them, Nagisa Chiba charged in her own Knightmare and forced Grundy to the ground.

"Tohdoh run," she yelled through the Knightmare's speakers.

Suzaku looked over at his former teacher, who still seemed to be out of it. He knew his teacher would never allow one of his people to die in his place if he could help it. Though now he was in distress and Suzaku's ring didn't seem to work on the monster for some reason. He still had a mission though and needed to think quickly.

'My ring won't work on that monster but...it should still work on everything else,' thought Suzaku.

Summoning the emerald Knightmare form he used once before he took the sword of Tohdoh's Knightmare. He charged, and not too soon as this Grundy, threw Chiba's Knightmare off of him. Suzaku drove the sword into Grundy's torso, the speed and momentum lifting him off his feet. However Grundy could still move, despite having a massive sword in his torso.

'Okay, a sword through the chest doesn't work on him,' thought Suzaku. 'But I can pierce him with it. And if he's hooked now...'

As Grundy began to struggle Suzaku flew the emerald Knightmare into the sky, Grundy still on the sword. Once he was up in the air he got a good view of the battlefield. Other monsters were attacking various cells of the JLF all over the mountains. Flashing lightning told him that Shazam was having trouble. And Superman was dealing with a silver Knightmare and some kind of strange tank.
That gave Suzaku and idea. As Grundy was struggling more and more against him on the sword Suzaku spun the Emerald Knightmare construct around and threw Grundy towards the scene of Superman's fight.

Hacking into the video and communications feed of the enemy Batman observed this recent upset. He bit his lip in frustration at this unexpected development. With the League distracted by these monsters, both flesh and mechanical, the Britannian regulars were able to press into the JLF.
He had C.C. with him so she could prepare her mass teleportation spell for their plan. As such she couldn't be disturbed. This left him with only one option.

"Oracle, are you ready?" he asked into his communicator.

"Ready," said Nunnally's voice, responding to her code name.

"Plan B," said Batman. "I'm sending you the logistics."

"Got it," said Oracle.

In various parts where the League was being distracted Boom Tubes opened up allowing new fighters into the mix. Barda helped throw some of the Monster Men off of Shazam, allowing her the time to get to aid the JLF.

"Pitiful ogres," said Barda as she leapt up and kicked one Monster Man in the face so hard it broke the creature's neck.

With Barda dealing with the Monster Men, Shazam used her speed and strength to tear apart the arms of the enemy Knightmares with ease. Once the JLF were able to get away she turned her attention back to the Monster Men. She took note of Barda, who despite being smaller than her enemies used that to her advantage. She used her ability to outmaneuver their over-sized limbs and struck once she had an opening.
As she delivered a powerful blow to the side of one such beast after dodging a sweep from its arm, another tried to grab at her. Shazam flew in and struck from below, delivering a blow to the stomach of the beast, much like how Barda once did with her. She also added a barrage of blows to the torso for good measure, adding in some mystical lightning for good measure, before finishing of with a blow that sent the beast flying.

"Nice to see you've taken your training to heart," said Barda, back to back with Shazam.

"Don't go sweet on me now dammit," yelled Shazam.

"Have no fear of that," said Barda.

As the remaining Monster Men charged so did Barda and Shazam.

The upgraded Metallo was a tad stronger than its previous incarnation. And the Excalibur tank was no slouch either. But that didn't help when a white skinned beast fell on top of it.

"What the heck?" asked Superman, holding back a fist from the Metallo.

"Wanna trade?" asked Green Lantern, going down to meet his comrade.

"Sure, this guy just won't shut up about himself," said Superman, throwing up the Metallo's fist.

Lantern used this opportunity to strike at the metal beast with a big green fist. Superman then went straight for Grundy, struggling to get off the Excalibur. He plowed on the tank with the monster still attached and dove into the forest.

"Kururugi," growled Jeremiah's voice form inside the Metallo. "You are the cause of all of this."

"Me? You knew I had nothing to do with Clovis disappearing and still tried to have me killed," said Green Lantern. "You wanted to wipe out the Honorary Britannian system. That would have ruined the lives of any Japanese who wanted to even make a fraction of a better life for themselves during the occupation. How could you do something so vile?"

"You dare judge me you miserable Eleven," yelled Jeremiah.

He struck out with the Metallo only to be caught in the fist of the green Knightmare construct.

"And what about the people in the Shinjuku ghetto you would have killed if the Justice League hadn't stopped you?" asked Green Lantern. "You'd have wiped them all out to protect Clovis's secret wouldn't you?"

"And what if we were?" yelled Jeremiah. "They were only Elevens."

Jeremiah pulled forth a sword for the Metallo but Suzaku countered with a blade of his own.

"They were human beings," growled Green Lantern.

"We are Britannians, greatest of all humans," yelled Jeremiah. "The destruction of the weak is our right by our strength."

"I haven't seen any kind of strength from you," growled Green Lantern. "All I've seen is savagery and hatred. The League has bested everything Britannia has thrown at them so far and we've never take a single life if we could help it. We're so strong we don't need to kill to prove it as if we were insecure children."

That set Jeremiah off greatly. He drew back his Knightmare's sword arm to clash again but Suzaku was in no mood. Jeremiah's words had set him off as well. After seeing how effective he was as the Green Lantern, able to do more than he could as a Honorary Britannian, Suzaku realized now that as long as men like Jeremiah were in power in Britannia, his old hopes to change the system could never be.
As Jeremiah drew closer for his attack, Green Lantern dispersed the Green Knightmare in a powerful blast of emerald energy that sent the Metallo flying, damaging the Knightmare immensely.

"So much for the greatest of all humans," sneered Green Lantern.

"Grundy smash blue man," yelled Grundy.

"You can try," said Superman.

He flew fast at Grundy, who in turn had picked up the Excalibur and charged with the bladed tip. Inside the tank the rest of the Purebloods groaned in discomfort.

"We're still in here you great clumsy beast," yelled Kewell.

Superman flew inside the tank, ramming through the cannon's mouth. Once there he grabbed the rest of the Purebloods and smashed his way out. Flying up he fired his heat vision at the remains of the tank as Grundy brought it overhead, thinking the attack was towards him. The heat from the blast melted the metal over Grundy. Once the molten metal covered Grundy, Superman delivered a breath of cold air to solidify the creature.

"That should hold him for a bit," said Superman before flying off with the Purebloods as his prisoners.

The addition of Barda, Scott, and J'onn had helped the League regain control of the fight. This greatly pleased Batman, as much as when C.C. mentioned her spell was ready.

"Everyone, the JLF is almost completely evacuated," said Batman to the private comm channel of the League. "C.C. is ready to teleport the Britannians away. However Superman, you're going to help a few of them leave in an alternative way."

Watching the new fighters enraged Cornelia. Apparently the League's roster was larger than previously thought. The warrior in gold and blue that fought alongside Shazam was just as strong as she was. There was also a green man that seemed as powerful as Superman and could even change his shape. A man in red, yellow, and green who seemed to fly on two disks beneath his feet with as many tricks as Batman.
Together they were proving to be a match for the Monster Men, removing the efforts of her own forces to capture the JLF.

"Impressive," said Strange, viewing the same battle.

"Impressive? Your monsters are getting their asses handed to them and that all you can say?" yelled Cornelia.

"They were expendable," said Strange. "Now we know that the League's ranks are larger than we thought. The Batman was clever to keep them in reserve."

"Batman? We haven't seen him once during this whole fiasco," said Guilford.

"He has been observing this battle same as us," said Strange. "He most likely hacked into our communication system to see as we see. And the JLF will soon be completely departed. Your operation is a failure Cornelia. And I have enough data for now. We may..."

The roof of the transport blew open and several of the Purebloods were tossed in.

"Had some garbage I thought I'd return to you," said Superman as he floated in to the transport.

Darlton attempted to grab him only for Superman to leisurely push him up against the wall. Other soldiers tried to grab their guns only for Superman to melt them with his heat vision.

"Impressive," said Strange, his hands behind his back. "We have not been introduced Superman. I am Professor Hugo Strange, H.I.V.E. Commander of this Area. A true pleasure to meet a true extraterrestrial."

"Are you the one that made those...things?" asked Superman.

"The Monster Men are mine, Grundy is...unique," said Strange. "Much like you and your friends. Such incredible power and such a shame it is put to waste."

Superman shot strange a glare but the scientist was not backing down. He then turned his gaze towards the princesses, Cornelia putting herself between Euphemia and Superman.

"You allowed him to use those things?" asked Superman.

"H.I.V.E. operates as it sees fit with authority from the Emperor," said Strange. "Do not look to them as if they were in command. As far as you and the League should be concerned, Area 11 is under my control."

"Then I guess this message is for you, courtesy of the Batman," said Superman. "If you sick those things or any other horror on innocent people, you will answer to us. And that goes for you too Princess Cornelia."

"And what qualifies as people to you, alien?" asked Strange. "Do you even comprehend the strength you wield?"

"I do," said Superman. "And that strength is meant to protect those who have none. Green Lantern said that Jeremiah Gottwald's actions were like that of a child throwing a tantrum and trying to compensate for weakness. I'm starting to think that's a good analogy for Britannia on whole. Nothing but a bunch of bullies who need to be taught a lesson in manners. Now, I suggest you all grab hold of something. You're in for a ride."

With that Superman flew out of the hole he entered in.

"What do you think he meant by..."

Before Euphie could finish the G-1 base began to shake.

"Earthquake?" asked Guilford.

"I do not believe so," said Strange, still in that eerily calm voice.

As the G-1 was carried out of the area, C.C. cast her spell, banishing all Britannian personnel from the mountain, save for the Monster Men and Grundy. Once that was done Shazam flew up and then slammed into the mountain guided by lightning, activating the seismic charges.
This caused a rock flow which proceeded to bury the beasts.
The JLF were evacuated, the Britannian army once again humiliated, and now they had met the forces of H.I.V.E. Despite his own sense of unease about the Monster Men, Lelouch felt good. This was a victory.

"Justice League: 5, Britannia: 0," He said to himself as if this were all a game.

Where the Metallo landed, farther down the mountain, Jeremiah sat broken and bloody from Green Lantern's attack. Half his face was gone and most of his body was now useless.

"J...Justice League," he growled, spitting up blood.

The broken soldier tried to move his body but failed. He knew he was doomed but still cried out for his chance for vengeance. The busted hull of the Knightmare began to melt open because of some crimson energy. With his fading vision he saw two figures but he couldn't make them out.

"Ah, still alive," the larger of the figures said. "Keep him that way for now. I think Sir Gottwald can still be quite useful."

As Jeremiah lost consciousness the larger figure walked around the Knightmare's fists. He knelt down and noticed a few small, easy to miss traces of skin and blue hair follicles.

"Oh, very useful indeed," he said. "I'm ready to return home. In the mean time have fun with Grundy once he buries himself out of the rock. I imagine the little witch will be happy to see you."

"Oh, I'm sure she'll just be overjoyed," said the younger figure, cackling with delight as his silver hair draped over his crimson eyes.

From his feet an orange and black striped cat meowed in delight.

Author's Note: Sorry that this couldn't get out on Monday but it was a pretty long chapter. With references galore such as the Monster Men, who are modeled here after the Titan enhanced henchman from the Arkham games. And with the appearance of the Monster Men their creator Hugo Strange. I realize some were confused given there are a lot of Strange named characters. But Adam Strange won't be featured in this story and since I'm sticking to DC and Code Geass lore respectively we won't see Dr. Stephen Strange M.D. I'll probably save that for when, and if, I try a Marvel/Code Geass story, which I immediately thought about doing after I set up the first chapter of this story. But that probably won't be for a while.
Anyway, also setting up the next conflict and laying reference for how Jeremiah is going to become a cyborg. Though not like he was in canon obviously.
And I got Milly acting as Lois Lane but that girl is also going to be quite a star down the line. And I get it, them calling themselves the Justice League Rebellion in story might sound a little goofy. But that's why I had Rivalz say it. He's still got that bit of the young goofball in him at this time. Superman is something he's still growing into.

Next Turn: The Princesses and the Witch-Boy.
